Striken Death On The Prayer Mountain
This young Man of God is called Prophet Moïse Sanga, aged 22 yrs, Founder of the City of Eagles Ministries, found in Kingabwa, Kingshasa died today after being struck by lightning on the Mountain while he was on a 3 days retreat on the mountain. Unconfirmed reports say he was there with some Christians and when the lightning struck, all the Christians ran for safety allowing him there as he faced his fate. A lot of pain in my heart since I heard of this story this afternoon.
1). The same Christians we die everyday to pray for, cannot even stand with you at the point of death. I am not saying that those Christians should have waited to be stricken with him, no. They ran away when he was already down. What I mean is that, as a man of God, don't kill yourself trying to satisfy others. As much as prayer is important, and going to the mountain is necessary, do it when conditions are safe. Always get safety measures in place before going to such altitudes. The priority is to win them to Christ, not to die for them. Jesus already did that
2). Is it really worth the risk being a Man of God? This young man is gone at 22. Obviously many will blame him for not being wise, and some will even say it is a punishment from God, but is it worth it? Should I risk my life in a calling where I can end up sacrificing my life for people who will never see the worth? I am sure you will say I am not serving man, but God. Yes, that's true, but Men of God serve God by Serving men. Should their service not be honoured? Why allow them exposed to such danger, insults and strip them of honor even at their death?
Well, before you choose to accept the call, think well. You must be totally sold out to God to serve Him. No one really cares that much, so take care of yourself while serving. If you kill yourself for your church members, most of them will not even turn out at your funeral. They will find another Pastor before you are even buried. Rest in peace Moïse
