Alone with God
Satan will never stop attacking our bodies as long as we are allowing him a foothold into our lives.
1 Corinthians 10:13 TLB
But remember this-the wrong desires that come into your life aren't anything new and different. Many others have faced exactly the same problems before you. And no temptation is irresistible. You can trust God to keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it, for he has promised this and will do what he says. He will show you how to escape temptation's power so that you can bear up patiently against it.
I overcame alcohol and porn addiction several years ago, yet that hasn't stopped the relentless onslaught of temptations that seek to derail my path and challenge my resolve day in and day out. Out of nowhere ads pop up about drinking and having a good time, or scantily clad women advertising themselves on dating apps. When I see these pop up, I have two choices before me, one, fall for it and allow the door that God has already closed to be open again to the enemy. Or, ignore the devil's temptations and cast them at the foot of the cross and allow Jesus to take care of the situation.
Friend, the choice is simple, why would I want to undo what God has done in my life? I would be foolish to go back to my old way of living. God did not save me so that I could continue living in sin, no, He did so that I might go forth and share my testimony with others who are struggling with the same addiction I struggled with.
If you have overcome an addiction in your life, give God the praise, He could of just as easily left you and I wallowing around in the filth that held us captive all those years. Thankfully by the grace of God we are now over comers. Don't keep what God has done in your life a secret. Shout it from the rooftops.
Scripture references; 1 Corinthians 10:13/ 1 Peter 5:8/ James 1:12-15
