Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
Can you believe it? It was a real spring day yesterday. The temperature was perfect. Then, last night for no apparent reason, a flash storm passed through. It might have lasted 20 minutes. It was just long enough and strong enough to test the new roof patch that they put on. Feeling pretty safe in my office now when it rains. Haha.
I have never been a real fan of physical therapy. Like most, it does not seem to work. However, this time around, I have a different mindset and yesterday was my first ‘therapy’ session. Last week was the introduction round more or less. Yesterday by the time I left, it felt like I had a new foot. It was wonderful. He gave me some more exercises to do and showed me in the beginning of session my ankle was ridged but now it was loose; and it felt so much better.
One of the obstacles that we run into each day is how to share the Word of God with the world. They, the world, has their mind set on how Christians are, and it is not flattering. We can thank a number of reasons for that, but ultimately it is their choice to listen or not. Like my view on therapy, a lot of the world believes that Christianity is bogus and just a crutch. That there is no God and they must figure things out on their own. However, when they actually clear their own minds and listen with their hearts, they realize how wonderful they feel after they choose to follow.
My foot was still stiff this morning and I had to do circles with my ankle to wake it up. I will have to do the exercises the therapist gave me to ensure that my tendons and muscles are properly warmed up for the day and frequently throughout the day I will need to stretch. Though I won’t have the massage that he gave on my foot and ankle, the stretches will in fact lesson the pain.
The same goes for my walk with Christ. I must engage every morning to loosen my mind and heart. I must continue throughout the day to reach out and stretch to Him. And though I do not have the physical Spirit beside me, I have his therapy plan, and my day runs much smoother.
Today I encourage you to walk with me in this therapy lesson of Christianity and the hope that it brings. The peace that it brings. The joy that it brings. There are still going to be issues to deal with, but why not do it with a calm heart and mind?
Be blessed today my friends.
