Morning, May 19th

Read: Matthew 6:6

God gives us prayer as a wonderful chance to tell Him what's on our minds. Even when we can't find the right words, God helps us through His Spirit. We must never let crass showmanship or pride ruin this very personal conversation, which is kept going by the precious Spirit of God in us. We don't pray to show how religious we are, but to get closer to Almighty God!

Prayer

Thank you so much, Abba Father, for the amazing gift of prayer. Thank you for hearing both what I say and how I feel. Thank you for not being far away. Please forgive me when I don't talk to You as much as I should or when I don't appreciate Your willingness to listen. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
