Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Last night was rough. I went to bed around ten with no issues. Fell asleep with no issues, then sometime after that (I did not look at the clock), I woke up to the television so loud that I jumped. I waited a few seconds to see if my husband was trying to adjust fire real quick. However, when that did not happen quickly enough for me, I got out of bed and called his name loudly. He was asleep with his headphones in. When I finally got his attention, I scared him too. He had no idea why the television was on and the remote was right where I left it. I shut the television off and go back to bed. Shortly thereafter I was woke up again … seemingly for a potty break. Then a third time for the start of the storm. Then a fourth time. Finally my alarm went off for me to actually get up for work.

Try as I might, I have no idea why I had such a rough night. My turn, I guess. It is said that my house is haunted. I have caught lights turned on upstairs when we have not been up there in days and other odd anomalies, however, that ‘spirit’ has never been an issue. My house has always been covered in His spirit. So I changed my thoughts on my food menu from yesterday. Nothing out of the ordinary there, except I had fresh cut pineapple yesterday for the first time. So, I am still at a loss for the reasoning of my rough night.

As I made my coffee, I could hear the storm building up intensity outside. Being able to focus on only making my coffee, it was like white noise to put me back to sleep. However, when I sat down at the desk, I surmised that possibly, the reason for the interruptions last night was to in fact create such chaos in my mind that I could not focus today. The day will tell as we meander through it. Today is another two a day doctor visit. One for me and one for mom. At any rate, I have my little Jesus on my computer and my faith rock in my pocket. Whatever today holds for me, I will not be handling…but He will. Perhaps I needed to be jolted all night so that I was too tired to do anything but focus on Him.

When you find yourself wearing out or seemingly in a fight all the time, perhaps it is time to just quiet your thoughts and give the chaos to Him. Keep your eyes on His mercies and Love. Disregard all the items that are placed before you and walk with His hand in yours. That is my plan today. My brain is not braining today. I am glad His is.

Be blessed today my friends.

***For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let your glory be over all the earth. – Psalm 108:4-5
