Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
Another story completed and about to be on its way to judging. This one was easier on one had because it was straight away about my character’s walk, yet difficult as well. Maintaining the sincere loving nature and not altering Truth for the sake of the story. There were many times that thoughts crossed my fingertips of world viewpoints that had to be edited to remove the shade that was cast. Writing on Him is a challenge, but ever so worth it. This story was what I needed.
I woke up this morning to a Jeremy Camp song running nonstop in my brain. I believe it is trying to get out, but it is either doing laps or bouncing off my ear drums. The song is Again. The lyrics basically say that no matter what happens, no matter what we do, we are here again and forgiven again and we can breathe again. I feel like this song a lot here lately.
Many times when I get to this crossroads, I remember a movie about an old Jazz musician and young musician who met at crossroads and was met by the devil to strike a deal. Essentially the deal was if you could out play his guy, then you could have your wish granted free and clear, however if you didn’t beat his guy, then your soul belonged to him. The old Jazz man did not win. He went on to have a wonderful career, but his soul was damned. When this kid appeared in the crossroads, the Jazz man tried to stop him from playing.
At this crossroads, it is usually about the direction of a story or conversation that I am supposed to have with someone. Now I never challenge the devil, but in my crossroads, I have to make a choice…do I do as the Father directed or do I take the easy road and bypass any confrontation. The argument almost always is, God does not bring chaos, that instruction must be from the enemy. How poetic that he would use His words of love against him. Where he is correct that God does not bring chaos, he does bring Love and when his love appears, the enemy brings the chaos to dispel those attempts to gain a soul.
Today as you sit in His house, I implore you to breathe. Inhale his magnificence. Receive his peace. Absorb his presence. With each exhale, feel his Love spreading through the air as the Holy Spirit lands on each and everyone around you. These moments today will bring forth a calmness that is indescribable. No words will give it justice; however, the justice will be transparent and embracing.
Be blessed today my friends.
***In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.—Ephesians 2:21-22
