MAY 27

A KIND WITNESS

“You shall be My witnesses . . . even to the remotest part of the earth.”
ACTS 1:8

How did you come to know Jesus as your Savior? Many people have accepted Christ due to the kind and loving influence of a Christian friend or coworker. This is why it is so important to treat others with respect and acceptance. You never know when you will be able to share the gospel with them, and you want your relationship to be an open door that God can work through.

Of course, this may be challenging, especially because unbelievers sometimes operate with such contrasting standards and values to Christians. Despite such differences, however, remember that the most important thing about a person is whether or not they know Jesus. God is responsible to change sinful behavior, but your witness in another person’s life may have everlasting implications. This doesn’t mean you must condone ungodliness, but you also aren’t accountable to change it.

Everybody needs the Lord—even people who seemingly resist all your godly overtures. But keep on expressing the love and grace of God through your words and deeds. The Lord will work through you to change other people’s lives in a wonderful, eternal way.

Jesus, love others through me, and help me lead them to Your wonderful salvation through my words and deeds. Amen.
