FRIENDSHIP
(PROVERBS 4:19)
I have a friend who is visually impaired. I'm always amazed at the way he maneuvers around his house or reaches to his destinations without anyone's help. He was able to learn his surroundings in such a way, that he is able to act as if he can see everything a sighted person can. People often question him, 'Are you really blind?'
Life can be very much like a blind man's world. We don't know what the future holds, we don't know what's around the corner and we certainly don't know if the next big decision we make, will land us in a manhole. We, just like my visually impaired friend, have to trust that the way God is leading us, is the right way. And continue to take one step in front of the other.
Luckily for us, Christians, we have the light of God to lead our way. We must follow this light, lest we are lost and hit our foot on a stone. But imagine you had no light, no way of knowing if you're going the right way: the safe way. Imagine your entire world was in darkness and you didn't know where you were. Sounds like a scary situation right?
Therefore they live their lives based on the way of the wind. Blown away by everything that comes their way.
