EARLY FIRE 🔥 WINE May 28, 2025 Topic: ATTITUDE (27) By BBJohn The Bible gives five major motives or missions of fasting. They are the primary goals fasting is meant to accomplish. 1). BREAK THE GANGS OF WICKEDNESS Fasting is meant to break the bands of wickedness. With fasting comes the grace and supernatural power to destroy the gangs of evil that are against us. (Isa. 58: 6 a) 2). RELEASE HEAVILY BURDENED PEOPLE Fasting should be done to Qundo the heavy burdens. We fast to bring peace to the spirit of heaviness and healing to the brokenhearted. Fasting frees from pains and problems. (Isa. 58: 6b, 61: 3; Matt. 11: 28). 3). SET THE OPPRESSED FREE Fasting is meant to set the oppressed free; letting go every man and woman inside your prison. You are to release anyone you have imprisoned physically, spiritually, maritally, financially, mentally and emotionally. (Isa. 58: 6c, 61: 3) 4). DESTROY DEMONIC YOKES We fast to break in pieces all kinds of demonic and witchcraft yokes. Such yokes could be in our own life or in some other persons. (Isa. 58: 6, 9; Matt. 17: 20 – 21.) v. Do Charitable Works Fasting is meant for us to do charitable works such as giving bread to the hungry, clothes to the naked, shelter to the outcasts, and meeting the needs of poor people. Jesus taught us to show generosity and care to the have-nots and less privileged.
