Hi everyone, it is fantastic to see that this page is growing. My pen name is Sonia D. Hebdon, and I am an Aussie Christian writer who focuses on creating fiction and non-fiction for special needs families. My faith-filled journey has been incredible as I am the proud Mum of 2 ASD kids, and my eldest has multiple personalities. So, this has been the focus of my life, parenting, and I finally had the time to write my autobiography, The Crazy Mother's Guide to Raising Exceptional Children, regarding what it's like to parent a child with multiple personalities, with God's help, of course.
This page aims to share the pursuits of Christian writers and support their literary work. My next literary journey is being released on Amazon on July 4th. A Faith-based YA Fantasy/Paranormal Romance series for ages 12-18 set in the 80s and discusses the topic of reality. What is real? As a writer, I often question what happens to a story when it is finished. Does it take on a life of its own? What happens to a story that isn't finished? What about the characters? Are they in some form of limbo? So these ideas, including my Faith when I was a teenager, are being played out in this beautiful love story, perfect for teens of Faith who are different. This series has no sex or foul language. It focuses on a love for 80s new wave music and being alternative, with coloured hair and op-shop clothes. (A Pretty In Pink) vibe. I wanted a series of books that show that God is interested in your heart, not what you wear!
This book would be perfect for a youth group to read and discuss the themes presented.
