Have you ever prayed for God to bring about change, whether in your heart, life or circumstances, only to be disappointed, feeling defeated?
The problem is that we shift our focus from the One Who has promised change to the thing we that we desire to be changed.
During these times, the enemy and self begins to ask questions. Doesn't God want to change my life? Am I worthy, am I doing something wrong or asking the wrong way?
I don't know about you, but I've had these questions and more. Why? Simply because I didn't see the change when and how that I thought should happen.
When you view change through a worldly mindset, you want to see it immediately. I want to give you some truth, from my personal experiences.
Here are two truths that have been revealed in my life by the Holy Spirit.
God has been waiting for you to desire and to seek change in your heart and life. The other very important fact is, the Father desires change in your heart and life, way more than you do.
Look, God created you with a specific purpose and a divine plan for your life. If you're like me, we lived a life that was contrary to all of His plans and purpose.
The Holy Spirit just spoke, as I'm writing this... change is something you experience through a process before you will ever see the results.
I heard the Word, "as you go."
The Word tells of occasions when people came to Yeshua, seeking healing. Many times, creative miracles happened on the spot, but there were times, when He told them to do something, and they were healed [as they went] (Luke 17:12-14, John 9:6-7).
Change is a divine part of the process in the new creation lifestyle. The Holy Spirit will convict your heart, that change needs to take place. The flesh will scream and fight you tooth and nail to prevent change, because it doesn't want relinquish control or its comfort.
Then there must be a desire to surrender to the leading of the Holy Spirit for a heart change (the changes in your life must first take place in your heart before the outward things). Then comes the hard part, patiece in the process. Not being discouraged because you don't experience immediate change.
The moment, you seek change in your heart and life, the Father goes to work to bring it to pass. It's most important to realize, it will [always] take place according to His will and in His time. He always has a plan in place to answer your prayer of surrender.
Remember, the Father knows the [end from the beginning], He knows when you will surrender to His will for change, He sees things that you cannot see, and He knows EXACTLY WHAT HE'S DOING.
Read the following scripture, and meditate on it, it will help you when doubt and discouragement tries to steel your focus from the Father:

““For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts higher than your thoughts.” (‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭AMP‬‬)
