“Only a fool despises a parent’s discipline; whoever learns from correction is wise.”
Proverbs 15:5
Godly parents correct their children out of love and a genuine desire to see them reach their full potential. We would be wise to listen to the advice of godly parents so that we can become the people God created us to be. God’s guidance is the most important though, as He is our loving Father in heaven and all knowledge and wisdom belong to Him. A wise person is much more likely to be humble and open to hearing criticism from others. As much as we’d like to think, we are not all knowing. There’s always more to learn.
