ATTITUDE (28) By BBJohn
PERSISTENCE
Persistence is the seventeenth attitude. It means importunity, resilient waiting, and stubbornly refusing to give up. Persistence requires faith, trust, hope and patience. Instead of giving up, let's rather keep waiting patiently upon the LORD. Don't give up in the face of challenges or give in to fear and doubt. Jesus taught us to be persistent and importunate in asking, seeking, and knocking. (Matt. 7: 7 – 11)
Persistence teaches us to be firm and constant in faith and spiritual pursuits, refusing to give up or give in even when we think God is silent. This demands rugged faith; faith that trustfully keep asking, seeking, and knocking. Be persistent and resilient.
God is willing to give us the good things of life. If we seek Him, we'll find Him. He opens the door of the heavenly treasury to those who persistently knocks on the heavenly door. Be persistent and He will answer your prayers, respond favorably to your pursuits, and open unto you the door of His manifold blessings. (Matt 6: 7 - 8)
Persistence is power; the mighty prevailing power that we need to secure God’s blessings, see God's face, and win God's presence. Let us therefore deal with our fears and doubts and stay-put on Him with faith that is alive and active.
Persistence is the spirit of the triumphant, the spirit that drives him to fighting till the victory comes. Be persistent; you will get what you've been asking for, find what you've been seeking after, and gain access into the house on whose door you've been knocking.
Let's know that God is a loving and caring Father who gives good things to His children. He will answer our prayers, fulfill His promises, and give us the good gifts we asked for, and not counterfeits. (Matt. 7: 9 - 11)
The LORD will renew our strength and cause us to ride on eagle's wings, if we learn to wait persistently and patiently on Him.
“But those that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagle; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faith.” {Isaiah 40: 31}
