  • Most Christians Don't know this
A simple and solid method to study the Bible is:

    **1. Pray first**
Ask God to open your mind and heart to understand and obey His Word.

    **2. Read a short passage**
Start small, like 5–10 verses, or one paragraph.

    **3. Observe**
    Ask:
    - What does it say?
    - Who is speaking?
    - Who is involved?
    - What happens?
    - Are there commands, promises, warnings, or repeated words?

    **4. Interpret**
    Ask:
    - What does this mean in its context?
    - What did the writer intend to communicate?
    - What does this show about God, man, sin, faith, or salvation?

    **5. Apply**
    Ask:
    - What should change in my life?
    - Is there a sin to confess?
    - A command to obey?
    - A truth to believe?
    - An example to follow?

    **6. Write one clear takeaway**
    Keep it simple:
    - “God is faithful even when I am afraid.”
    - “I must forgive instead of holding bitterness.”

**7. Pray it back to God**
Turn what you learned into prayer and obedience.

    **A beginner-friendly pattern:**
    **Read – Observe – Interpret – Apply – Pray**

You can also use these 5 questions every time:
    - What do I learn about God?
    - What do I learn about people?
    - Is there a sin to avoid?
    - Is there a command to obey?
    - How should I respond today?

    **Good places to start:**
    - Gospel of Mark
    - Gospel of John
    - Psalm 23
    - James
    - Philippians
