• READ WITH ME – DAY 2

    Topic: Putting Away Childish Things

    Key Verse:
"We will no longer be babies in the faith. We won't be like ships tossed around by the waves. We won't be blown here and there by every new teaching. We won't be blown around by cleverness and tricks. Certain people use them to hide their evil plans."
    — Ephesians 4:14 (NIrV)

    Today's Reflection

Spiritual growth requires us to leave behind attitudes and habits that do not please God. As we mature in Christ, we become grounded in His truth and are no longer easily influenced by wrong teachings or sinful lifestyles.

God is calling us to let go of every habit that hinders our relationship with Him. Whether it is lying, pride, disobedience, hatred, or any other sinful attitude, today is another opportunity to surrender it to Him and choose the path of righteousness.

    Today's Takeaway:
You cannot become who God wants you to be while holding on to what He wants you to leave behind.

    Prayer:
Lord, help me to put away every childish attitude and sinful habit. Teach me to stand firm in Your truth and grow into the mature believer You have called me to be. Amen.

    STEPHANT: STRENGTH TO THE END

    Acts 7:55
"But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God."

Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, faced persecution and death. He proclaimed the gospel of Jesus in the city of Jerusalem with such historical clarity and power that all who heard him were deeply moved.

The power of the Holy Spirit is also manifested in faithfulness in the midst of trials.

Stephen did not look at his executioners; he looked at the glory of God.

The Holy Spirit dwelling fully within you will give you the strength to get through the most difficult times. He is the Paraclete, the other Comforter.

Even when everything has disappointed you, when everyone has betrayed you to the point that life itself seems to have lost all meaning, seeing Christ through the Holy Spirit will bring you triumph.

May the Lord grant us to keep our eyes fixed on Him in times of trial and daunting challenges, filled with the Spirit and the presence of God.

    WHAT SOIL HAVE YOU BECOME?

“The one who received the seed on good soil is the one who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundredfold, sixtyfold, or thirtyfold.”

    — Matthew 13:23 (LSG)

In Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23, Jesus gives and explains a parable. The sower sows the seed (the Word of God), good, pure, and without blemish. But the response varies entirely according to the soil. The issue is not the quality of the seed, but the heart. The seed falls on all types of soil. But the most common danger is not outright opposition to God. It is the heart that gradually becomes burdened.

Good soil, however, does not only receive the seed, it understands it. This word, in the Greek text, denotes a true, active understanding, an assimilation that engages one's entire life.

What a word from God! Have you recently received a message from a sermon, a reading, or a time of prayer? Have you taken the time to meditate on it, write it down, and apply it? Today, revisit that message. Give it depth. Is there anything in your life that is currently stifling the Word God has given you? It shouldn't be that way. Return to the Word in all its depth and let it enter you.

May the Lord till the soil of our hearts. Where it is hardened by routine or habit, may the Lord soften it. Where it lacks depth, may He deepen it. Where it is overrun with secondary concerns, may He clear them away. Let us be good soil, not for our own glory, but so that the Word of God may produce in us all that He has planned for us to possess the kingdom of heaven.
