You Can’t Live Forever on Earth Life on earth is temporary; no man is immortal here. “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). People often live as though they will never die, chasing possessions and pleasures, but forget eternity. Today, God reminds us that our stay here is short—we must prepare for what comes after. 1. Life on Earth is Brief Our life is like a vapor (James 4:14). Psalm 39:5 – “You have made my days as handbreadths…” 2. We Are Strangers and Pilgrims Earth is not our permanent home (1 Peter 2:11). Abraham looked for a city built by God (Hebrews 11:10). 3. The Reality of Judgment Everyone will give account before God (Romans 14:12). What matters is not how long we lived, but how well we lived in His will. 4. The Call to Live With Eternity in View Invest in heavenly treasures (Matthew 6:20). Live holy, love others, and serve God faithfully. You cannot live forever on earth, but you can live forever with Christ in heaven. The choice you make now determines your eternal destiny. Ecclesiastes 12:13 – “Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” Eternity is real. Heaven is real, and hell is real. Only Jesus gives eternal life.
