(long post ahead📖) There is a profound lesson I learned when I read this passage of Scripture: “said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him: No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him. And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭23‬:‭14‬-‭15‬, ‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬ This passage takes place during Jesus’ trial. He was falsely accused of many things, yet we know that He was completely innocent. He had no sin. Everything He taught was truth, and everything He did, reflected the will of the Father. Jesus could have defended Himself. After all, He possessed the very nature of God. He had every power and every right to prove His innocence. Yet He chose to remain silent and willingly submit Himself to the Father’s plan. Even Pilate declared before the crowd that he could find no fault in Jesus. Herod found no crime worthy of death either. Still, the people refused to listen. Instead, they shouted louder, demanding that Jesus be crucified. This reminds me of a sobering reality: 😔 Even if God Himself stands before people and speaks the truth, there will still be hearts that choose not to believe. Miracles, truth, and evidence alone cannot change a heart that refuses to surrender. Then came the moment of decision. The people were given a choice: ❓❓Jesus Christ or Barabbas. ❓❓ One was completely innocent. The other was a guilty criminal. Yet the crowd cried out for Barabbas to be released, while demanding that Jesus be condemned to die. 😢 As I reflected on this, something deeply touched my heart. I realized that Barabbas is a picture of us. We are the guilty ones. ✅ We are the sinners. ✅ Yet Jesus took our place. The punishment that should have fallen upon us was placed upon Him instead. The Son of God willingly exchanged His freedom for ours. He left the glory of heaven and humbled Himself to be born in a manger. Though He is the King of kings, He did not come to be served but to serve. He walked among the poor, healed the sick, showed mercy to sinners, comforted the brokenhearted, and lived a life of perfect holiness without sin. Finally, He gave His life on the cross. ✝️ The release of Barabbas beautifully illustrates the Gospel. Barabbas deserved the cross. Jesus did not. Yet Jesus took the cross that belonged to Barabbas. In the same way, we deserve the punishment for our sins…..eternal separation from God. But Jesus took our place. And above all, that is the greatest picture of love. Three Angels Broadcasting Network Devotional Love Is In the Little Things By Yvonne Shelton August 22nd, 2026 “It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:24 I don’t know about you, but as I get older, my memory is getting less sharp. For the past couple of weeks, I’d searched for some bank checks I had ordered. I looked everywhere, and couldn’t find them. I knew I’d ordered them, and some of them had arrived, but I couldn’t find the rest. I was planning on leaving town, so things were getting down to the wire. But I couldn’t leave without finding out what happened to my checks. So, I prayed. Lord, I know this may seem like a small thing, but I really need to find my checks. Please help me! In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen. Literally, as soon as I said “Amen,” the phone rang. It was my friend, Dee from 3ABN. She said, “I’m here at the post office and they say they have some checks for Magnify Him Publishing. Isn’t that your company? They didn’t want to send them back, but because they’re in your company’s name, they weren’t sure they were yours.” I couldn’t believe it! I had just prayed about these checks, and the Lord answered my prayer immediately! What a mighty God we serve! What a faithful Father! He was showing me that He hears even the smallest requests. It was such a faith-enhancing moment! I was so taken aback by His timing. Dee just “happened” to be at the post office when I was praying. The postmaster just “happened” to ask her about my checks. As my husband, Danny would ask, “Is that coincidence, or Divine Providence?” To me, it’s obviously Divine Providence! There is no request too small or too large for God. He is so kind. Isaiah 54:10 says, “For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed….” Never feel as though He’s too busy to hear you, or that your petition is too insignificant for Him to address. He loves each and every one of us and shows up right on time. He may not always answer immediately, and He may not say yes every time. But He will always do what’s best for His children. He shows us that love is in the little things.

August 22nd, 2026 Read; Romans 12:10 To be "devoted to each other in brotherly love," we can't just say in church that we're family, brothers and sisters, and children of God; we have to show it. We need to get to know each other and be a part of each other's lives so we can serve, love, and bless each other. What have you done recently to get more involved in the lives of your fellow Christians? Devotion to others comes after making an effort to get to know them and be known by them. Prayer Father, thank You for giving me a large extended family in Christ and for loving me with unwavering love. Help me be generous with my time and willing to share my life with those in Your family. Give me a deep desire to bless those You have adopted as Your children, and the humility to receive their care as well. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.

And Hezekiah wept sore. 2 Kings 20:3. In the midst of his prosperous reign King Hezekiah was suddenly stricken with a fatal malady. “Sick unto death,” his case was beyond the power of man to help. And the last vestige of hope seemed removed when the prophet Isaiah appeared before him with the message, “Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.” The outlook seemed utterly dark; yet the king could still pray to the One who had hitherto been his “refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). And so “he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the Lord.” ... He whose “compassions fail not,” heard the prayer of His servant. “It came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying, Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee....” Gladly the prophet returned with the words of assurance and hope. Directing that a lump of figs be laid upon the diseased part, Isaiah delivered to the king the message of God's mercy and protecting care.32Ibid., 340-342. Those who seek healing by prayer should not neglect to make use of the remedial agencies within their reach. It is not a denial of faith to use such remedies as God has provided to alleviate pain and to aid nature in her work of restoration.... God has put it in our power to obtain a knowledge of the laws of life. This knowledge has been placed within our reach for use. We should employ every facility for the restoration of health, taking every advantage possible, working in harmony with natural laws. Amazing Facts Daily Devotionals Is it necessary to pray “In Jesus’ name” at the end of every prayer? August 22nd, 2026 Jesus actually commands us to pray in His name. He says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you” (John 16:23). This doesn’t mean, however, that just saying His name has some kind of magical power. Suppose I go to a complete stranger asking for a favor. They’re not likely to listen to my request. But if I bring them a letter from their best friend, someone they love, and it’s signed by their best friend—well, that could make a big difference. I say to them, “Look, I’ve come in the name of Henry, and here’s a letter from Henry, signed by him. Can you help me with this problem?” If they love Henry, and I’m coming in Henry’s name, they will listen to me. Jesus told us, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). When we come to the Father, we come in the name of the Lord Jesus and say, “Please, hear my prayer. Not because I deserve it. I’ve been alienated from you by sin. But because of your love for your Son, please honor my request for His sake.” That’s really what it means to pray in Jesus’ name. It can also mean to pray with the mind and the spirit of Christ and with the same attitude that Jesus had. Of course, the Father loves us too; He wants us to come to Him. DAILY LEADERSHIP BOOST (DLB) SATURDAY, 22 AUGUST 2026 THE HERESY PREACHERS OF THE LAST DAYS _“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”_ Matthew 24:24 KJV Beloved, the last days will not only be marked by scoffers. They will also be marked by deceivers. Few weeks ago a dear leader was invited to a Facebook “bible study” about the second coming. At first it sounded good. But when he asked honest questions about their claim that _“Jesus has already come secretly”_ and that _“they alone have the sealed book of Revelation”_, he was removed. That is how heresy works. It invites you in with sweet words, but it silences you the moment you bring the light of Scripture. This is not new. Paul warned Timothy, _“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.”_ 2 Timothy 4:3. In the last days, heresy preachers will rise. They will speak with confidence. They will quote verses out of context. They will claim special revelation. They will say, _“Lo, here is Christ, or lo, he is there.”_ But Jesus already warned us: _“Believe it not.”_ Matthew 24:23-26. What are the marks of these heresy preachers? They deny or distort the public coming of Christ. The Bible says _“every eye shall see him.”_ Revelation 1:7. _“For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”_ Matthew 24:27. Any teaching of a “secret coming” that bypasses the trumpet, the resurrection, and the clouds is false. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. They claim exclusive knowledge. _“We have the sealed book. We have the new revelation no one else has.”_ But John already closed the canon with a warning. Revelation 22:18-19. The Holy Spirit does not contradict the Word He inspired. If anyone tells you to follow them because they have secret truth, run. They cannot endure questions. Truth welcomes testing. Acts 17:11 _“These were more noble... in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”_ Heresy blocks, bans, and bullies. That is because light exposes it. John 3:20. Leaders, our job in this hour is to guard the flock. Acts 20:28-30. We must teach people how to test every spirit. 1 John 4:1. We must root our people in the Word so deeply that when error comes, they will say, _“That does not line up.”_ Do not be afraid to ask questions. Do not be intimidated out of groups. Jesus said, _“Take heed that no man deceive you.”_ Matthew 24:4. Stay in the Word. Stay in community that honors Scripture. And stay under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, not under men who claim to be the only voice of God. The real Jesus is coming. Publicly. Gloriously. With power. And He needs leaders who will not be moved by every new doctrine. Mark it, avoid it, and warn others lovingly. Romans 16:17. Remember: The devil’s goal in the last days is not just to make you sin. It is to make you believe a lie.
