  • Prayer Request for Our Widows Ministry

In our church, we are blessed to serve widows who need love, care, and support. By God’s grace, we are helping them with food, prayers, and encouragement.

We humbly ask you to pray for us—that the Lord will provide more resources, strength, and helpers so we can reach and serve even more widows in need.

May God open doors, touch hearts, and use us as His hands and feet. Thank you for standing with us in prayer.
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress.” – James 1:27

Please remember us in your prayers.

  • Remember the People in Need!

One of the clearest reflections of God’s heart is His concern for the needy.

From Genesis to Revelation, God consistently commands His people not to ignore the poor, the hungry, the widows, the orphans, and the strangers among us.

Christianity is not only about what we believe, but also about how we live and how we treat others—especially those who cannot repay us.

To remember people in need is not optional; it is a divine responsibility.

    1. GOD IDENTIFIES WITH THE NEEDY

Proverbs 19:17 – “He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, and He will pay back what he has given.”

When we help the needy, God takes it personally. Helping the poor is described as lending to God Himself. This means:

    - God watches how we treat the needy

    - God rewards acts of kindness

    - God defends the cause of the poor

    - Ignoring the needy is ignoring God’s concern.

    2. JESUS TAUGHT AND LIVED COMPASSION

Matthew 25:35–36 – “For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink…”

Jesus made it clear that serving the needy is serving Him.

Compassion was not just something Jesus preached; it was something He practiced. He fed the hungry, healed the sick, and cared for the rejected.

True Christianity must look like Christ.

    3. BLESSINGS ARE CONNECTED TO REMEMBERING THE NEEDY

Psalm 41:1–2 – “Blessed is he who considers the poor; the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.”

    God promises:

    -- Deliverance in difficult times

    -- Preservation of life

    -- Divine protection

When you remember others in their time of need, God remembers you in your time of trouble.

    4. FAITH WITHOUT CARE FOR THE NEEDY IS DEAD

James 2:15–17 – “If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food… faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”

Our faith must be visible. It must be expressed in love, generosity, and action. Christianity without compassion is empty religion.

    5. GIVING TO THE NEEDY PLEASES GOD

Hebrews 13:16 – “But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”

    God is pleased when we:

    - Share what we have

    - Give willingly

    - Care sincerely

You don’t have to be rich to be a blessing. A kind heart and a willing hand are enough.

    CONCLUSION

Remembering the needy is not about showing off or seeking praise.

It is about obedience, love, and reflecting God’s character. In a world filled with pain and lack, God wants to use you as His hands and feet.

Let us open our eyes, hearts, and hands to those in need.

    PRAYER POINTS
Lord, give me a compassionate heart like Yours.

Father, open my eyes to see people in need around me.

Lord, bless my hands so I can be a blessing to others.

Deliver me from selfishness and indifference.

Use my life to bring hope to the needy.

ALTAR CALL / CALL TO ACTION
If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, today is the day. Jesus became poor so that we might be rich in salvation (2 Corinthians 8:9). Come to Him, receive His love, and let Him transform your heart to love others.

  • Everyone Lives for Themselves… But Living for Others Is the True Meaning of Life

In this world, everyone chases their own needs — success, comfort, progress, dreams.
But the greatest person is the one who rises above personal desires and chooses to live for others.
God did not create us for selfishness, but for love, service, sacrifice, and compassion.

    Jesus Christ said:
“Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” — John 13:34

This is not love in words, but love in action.
True life begins when our actions reflect the love of Christ.

    The Bible also says:
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” — Mark 10:45

What does living for others really mean?
    ➤ Feeding the hungry
    ➤ Comforting the broken
    ➤ Supporting the helpless
    ➤ Loving the rejected
    ➤ Wiping someone’s silent tears
➤ Caring without expecting anything in return

This is the love Jesus showed — sacrificial love.
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

Love changes people — and the one who gives love is changed first.
In giving, we never lose ourselves; we gain a new purpose and a deeper joy.

    The Bible declares:
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” — Acts 20:35

Let us choose today to live not only for ourselves,
but for the love Christ taught us —
a love that is patient, kind, humble, forgiving, and never fails.
    — 1 Corinthians 13
