"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." — Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)

Faith means trusting God even when you cannot yet see the answer. It is believing that His promises are true, even when your circumstances seem difficult. Sometimes we pray for healing, a breakthrough, a new opportunity, or restoration, but nothing seems to change. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that faith is choosing to believe that God is working behind the scenes, even when our eyes cannot see it.

God has never failed to keep His promises. His timing is always perfect, and His plans are always for our good. Every delay has a purpose, and every trial can strengthen our faith. Don't give up because your breakthrough may be closer than you think.

The Bible encourages us in 2 Corinthians 5:7"For we live by faith, not by sight."* We are called to trust God's Word instead of our fears or circumstances.

God also promises in Jeremiah 29:11"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."Even when you don't understand what God is doing, you can trust that He is leading you toward His perfect plan.

Finally, remember Isaiah 40:31: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Today, choose faith over fear. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep moving forward. What God has promised, He is faithful to fulfill. Your season of waiting is not wasted—God is preparing something greater than you can imagine. Trust Him, because what is impossible with man is always possible with God.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Taking Directions.

Why is it that so many people have a problem with taking directions? At some time in our lives, most of us have probably used the phrase, “Don’t tell me what to do!” because no one really enjoys being “bossed around.” But learning to take directions starts as a toddler, and the older we become, the more complicated or challenging those directions can be. Children know that if they don’t obey, there will be a consequence. Students soon learn that if they want to pass on to the next grade, they must listen to their teacher and follow her instructions. Adults understand fully that if they don’t do what their boss is asking, then they’ll lose their jobs. And patients can’t expect to get well or have their health improve if they won’t take the advice of their doctor. So it is with our spiritual life. God’s given us His Holy Word as an instruction manual to help us on our journey here on earth. When we follow what He tells us to do, we not only avoid the pain, heartache, and pitfalls along the way, but we also draw closer to our Lord and Savior! Learning to take directions is absolutely essential if we want to have a joy-filled life and extremely crucial if we want a rich spiritual life and enjoy a close relationship with our best Friend, Jesus. Commentary:
Christ’s words in regard to our duty to the poor show the spirit in which all work for God is to be done, and open a field where all may find something to do. “The poor always ye have with you” (John 12:8), said Jesus, and none need complain that there is no place where they can labor for Christ. As long as there are hungry ones in God’s world to be fed, naked ones to be clothed, perishing souls that need the bread of life, there is work for us to do. TUESDAY MORNING FAMILY PRAYER!

“Lord, Cover Our Family, Heal Our Bodies, Save Our Souls, and Supply Our Needs!”

Heavenly Father,
On this Tuesday morning, we come before Your throne with grateful hearts. Before we ask You for anything, we thank You for everything. Thank You for waking us up this morning. Thank You for life, strength, grace, mercy, and another opportunity to call upon Your holy name.
Your Word declares:
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24 (KJV)
Father, this morning we place our entire family into Your hands. Every mother, father, husband, wife, son, daughter, grandchild, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, cousin, and extended family member—we cover them in prayer.
Lord, go where we cannot go. Touch those we cannot reach. Speak to hearts when our words are not enough. Protect our families from dangers seen and unseen, and let Your presence rest upon every household represented in our family.
Your Word says:
“The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” — Proverbs 18:10 (KJV)
Father, be our strong tower!
LORD, HEAL OUR FAMILY!
Father, we lift before You every family member who is struggling physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually.
Some are dealing with sickness in their bodies. Some are carrying pain that others cannot see. Some are fighting battles in their minds. Some are exhausted, discouraged, overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained.
But God, You know exactly where they are and exactly what they need!
You declared:
“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD.” — Jeremiah 30:17 (KJV)
So, Father, we ask You to restore health!
Touch minds that are troubled.
Touch bodies that are hurting.
Touch hearts that are broken.
Strengthen those who are weak.
Comfort those who are grieving.
Encourage those who feel discouraged.
Give rest to those who are weary.
Lord Jesus, heal, deliver, restore, and set free!
Your Word declares:
“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” — Psalm 107:20 (KJV)
Father, send Your Word into every situation!
Where there is sickness, send healing.
Where there is bondage, send deliverance.
Where there is confusion, send clarity.

LORD, SAVE OUR FAMILY!
Father, our prayer is not only for physical healing—we are crying out for souls to be saved!
We lift every family member who does not yet know Jesus Christ personally.
Lord, draw them to You.
Remove spiritual blindness. Break down hardened hearts. Remove every distraction, excuse, false teaching, and influence that keeps them from surrendering completely to Christ.
Jesus said:
“No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him.” — John 6:44 (KJV)
Father, draw our family!
Let somebody become hungry for Your Word.
Let somebody become tired of living without You.
Let somebody realize that possessions, accomplishments, relationships, and money cannot fill the place that belongs to Jesus.
Let the question rise within their hearts:
“What must I do to be saved?”
And just as Paul and Silas answered:
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” — Acts 16:30–31 (KJV)
Father, let salvation come into our households!
Your Word declares:
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” — Romans 10:13 (KJV)
Let our family members call upon Jesus!
Let them repent.
Let them believe.
Let them surrender.
Let them be transformed.
We are praying not merely that they will know about Jesus, but that they will know Jesus and develop a genuine relationship with Him.
Lord, save our sons and daughters. Save our grandchildren. Save our siblings. Save our extended family. Let there be a spiritual awakening throughout our bloodline.
LORD, OPEN DOORS OF EMPLOYMENT AND FINANCIAL PROVISION!
Father, we lift every family member searching for employment.
Some have submitted applications and are waiting.
Some are looking for better opportunities.
Some need promotions.
Some need pay increases.
Some are working but still struggling to make ends meet.
Some are carrying financial burdens that nobody else knows about.
Father, open doors that no man can shut!
Your Word says:
“I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it.” — Revelation 3:8 (KJV)
Lord, send the right opportunities.
Give favor during interviews.
Give wisdom when making career decisions.
Give courage to walk through new doors.
Let résumés reach the right people.
Let applications receive favorable responses.
Let promotions come.
Let increases come.
Let opportunities come that exceed expectations.
And Father, for every family member struggling financially, remind us that You are our Source.
Your Word declares:
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19 (KJV)
We stand on that promise!
Provide food.
Provide shelter.
Provide transportation.
Provide employment.
Provide resources.
Provide wisdom to manage what You place into our hands.
And Father, teach us not only to pray for provision but to walk in wisdom concerning our finances.
Your Word says:
“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” — Proverbs 10:22 (KJV)
We declare that lack will not destroy our faith! We trust You as our Provider.
LORD, BRING LOVE AND UNITY INTO OUR FAMILY!
Father, strengthen our marriages. Strengthen relationships between parents and children. Restore broken relationships between brothers and sisters. Heal old wounds, misunderstandings, disappointments, and offenses.
Where pride has entered, bring humility.
Where anger has entered, bring forgiveness.
Where communication has broken down, bring understanding.
Where distance has developed, bring reconciliation according to Your will.
Your Word declares:
“And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.” — Colossians 3:14 (KJV)
Teach us to love one another with the love of Christ.
But Father, above everything else, teach our family to love YOU FIRST!
Jesus said:
“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength.” — Mark 12:30 (KJV)
May our homes be places where You are honored.
May prayer live in our homes.
May Your Word live in our homes.
May forgiveness live in our homes.
May peace live in our homes.
May love live in our homes.
And may Jesus Christ always remain at the center of our families.
Father, as we go throughout this Tuesday, order our steps. Protect us traveling to work, school, appointments, and wherever this day may take us.
Keep Your hand upon our children and grandchildren.
Watch over our elderly family members.
Strengthen our caregivers.
Comfort those who are grieving.
Encourage those who are discouraged.
Restore those who have fallen.
Save those who are lost.
Heal those who are sick.
Provide for those who are struggling.
And unite our families through the love of Jesus Christ.

TUESDAY FAMILY DECLARATION...
Today, we declare that our family belongs to God!
We declare healing over the sick, peace over troubled minds, deliverance over those in bondage, salvation over the lost, employment for those seeking work, increase for those needing provision, and restoration over our relationships.
We declare that Jesus Christ will be lifted up in our homes.
We will love God first and love one another.
We declare that God is our Healer, our Deliverer, our Savior, our Provider, our Protector, and our Keeper!
And we believe that the God who began a good work in our family is faithful to complete it!
In the mighty, matchless, healing, saving, delivering, and providing name of JESUS CHRIST, we pray.

Morning Prayer for Healing and Restoration
If you are carrying pain in your body, heaviness in your heart, troubling thoughts, or wounds from the past, this prayer is for you. Today, we come before God honestly, without pretending to be strong, and simply ask:
“Father, please heal me.”
This is a prayer for healing and restoration—for your body, heart, mind, and every area of life where you need God's comfort and strength.
Scripture for Today:
"Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for You are the one I praise." — Jeremiah 17:14
As you pray, ask God to:
Bring comfort where you are hurting
Strengthen you when you feel weak
Bring peace to your troubled mind

You do not have to hide your pain from God. He knows what you are going through, including the things you have never been able to explain to anyone else.

The Lord Is My Portion

Lamentations 3:24 (AMP)
“The Lord is my portion and my inheritance,” says my soul; “Therefore I have hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him.”


There are seasons when everything around us seems uncertain. Plans change, people may disappoint us, and circumstances can leave us wondering what tomorrow will bring. Yet in the middle of his sorrow, Jeremiah makes a powerful declaration: “The Lord is my portion.”

A portion is what belongs to you—your inheritance, your provision, your security. Jeremiah was reminding his soul that even when everything else felt unstable, God Himself remained enough.

Our hope is not ultimately found in what we possess, how successful we are, or how comfortable our circumstances may be. Our greatest treasure is the Lord. When He is our portion, we can face uncertain days with confidence because our future rests in His hands.

Notice that the verse says, “Therefore I have hope in Him.” Hope is a choice to trust God's character even when we cannot yet see the outcome. Waiting on God does not mean He has forgotten us. Sometimes the waiting is where He strengthens our faith, deepens our dependence, and teaches us to trust His timing.

Today, remind your soul: God is still my portion. God is still my inheritance. God is still my hope.
Whatever you may be facing, you don't have to have every answer today. You can place your confidence in the One who holds tomorrow.

Prayer
Father, thank You for being my portion and my inheritance. When life feels uncertain, help me remember that I have everything I truly need in You. Teach me to wait patiently and expectantly for Your perfect timing. Strengthen my faith when I cannot see what You are doing. Let my hope remain firmly anchored in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Declaration
The Lord is my portion. He is my hope, my security, and my inheritance. I will trust Him, wait on Him, and believe that He is working even when I cannot see it.

Admit it. You like reading the Psalms, the Gospels, Paul's epistles and maybe Esther and Ruth.
But what about the least read Bible books -- I call them Orphan Books -- because they almost are never read. Here's a list I found.

The ones I'd especially recommend
If you only want to read five, I'd pick:
Habakkuk — perhaps the most rewarding “orphan.” The entire book is essentially a conversation between a confused believer and God. Habakkuk starts by asking, “Why aren't you doing something about this?” and ends somewhere radically different.
Haggai — extremely short but surprisingly practical. Its central question is basically: What happens when God's people become preoccupied with their own houses while neglecting God's house?
Philemon — don't let its size fool you. It's an extraordinarily compressed little letter about power, status, forgiveness, reconciliation, and what the gospel does to human relationships.
Nahum — read it immediately after Jonah if you can. Jonah tells you that Nineveh repented; Nahum, written later, tells you what eventually happened to Nineveh. Reading them together makes both books considerably more interesting.
Lamentations — probably the most emotionally neglected book on the list. It gives you something the Bible is unusually good at: language for grief when everything has gone terribly wrong.
And here's the really fun challenge
Don't read these as if they're merely the Bible's “B-list.”
Try reading one orphan book a week, with no commentary at first. Just read the entire thing in one sitting.
You'll discover something interesting: some of the books that feel least important at first are actually the ones that illuminate the famous books around them.
Jonah → Nahum
Isaiah/Jeremiah → Lamentations
Romans/Galatians → Habakkuk
1 John → 2 John → 3 John
Ezra/Nehemiah → Haggai

The command by God to the people of Israel who were taken captive and exiled to Babylon was not to rebel, hate or isolate themselves, but to pray for peace, so that they too can lead peaceful lives.

As believers in Jesus, we too have a responsibility to pray for God's peace and blessings on those around us, and a greater call to pray for their salvation so they too can be at peace with God.

This prayer for peace should extend to all the war-torn nations, and every country where hatred, violence and communal disharmony are rampant.

Have a peaceful day, and let the _'Shalom'_ or _'Peace'_ that Jesus offers rule our hearts and reign over our homes, cities, nations and the world.

Daring to Dream.

It’s good to have goals - something we want to achieve and strive for, but it’s also important to enjoy the time leading up to the moment we actually achieve that goal. It’s very easy to become so goal-oriented that we don’t enjoy the special moments we spend getting there. Setting goals for ourselves can be stressful - worrying whether or not we can accomplish such a feat, and the embarrassment of failure. But we can avoid all the unnecessary stress if we first present our goals before God and ask for His blessing. We need to know if our goals line up with God’s goals for us, because when “our will” becomes “God’s will,” we have nothing to worry about! We can trust that everything will turn out the way God wants it to! God knows our strengths and weaknesses, and even more importantly, He gives us everything we need to accomplish “His” goal for us. There is one goal that all Christians should have, and that is our heavenly goal!
