From the viewpoint of God’s eternal purpose, the church exists to be • the incarnation and manifestation of the ultimate passion of God • the organic expression and physical extension of the Trinitarian Community • the corporate image-bearer of the Lord Jesus Christ on the earth • the family of God • the divine building whereby every living stone is being transformed, reshaped, and fitted together to form the Lord’s temple • the colonial outpost of the coming kingdom • the masterpiece of God • the spiritual “Bethany” where Jesus of Nazareth is received, obeyed, and adored in the midst of a rejecting world • the vessel in which the power of Christ’s resurrection life is visibly displayed • the object of God’s supreme affection and delight • the willing vehicle for Christ’s manifested presence • the torchbearer of the testimony of Jesus • the “one new man”—the new species—the “third race” • the fiancée of Jesus Christ—His very body, His very bride • the new humanity marked out in the Son of God before time and brought into existence by His cross • the Christian’s native habitat • the spiritual environment where face-to-face encounters between the bride and Bridegroom take place • the living witness to the fullness and headship of God’s Son • the colony from heaven that bears the image of its Ruler

Let me ask you something I want you to sit with honestly. Do you know why you are alive? Not the biological answer. Not — because my parents had me. I mean the specific answer. The personal answer. The one that is true about you specifically, and not about the person sitting next to you. Most people have never seriously asked this question. And it is the most important question of your life. Because when you genuinely answer it — when you discover what God specifically designed you for — everything else begins to organise around that answer. The Bible calls it a mandate. A specific, God-issued, God-designed, God-empowered assignment — placed in you before you were born. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I set you apart.” — Jeremiah 1:5 The mandate came before you did. There are three things you must do with your divine mandate: 🔑 DISCOVER IT—It is already in you. Pay attention to what breaks your heart. Notice what you do naturally that others find difficult. Pray specifically: Lord, what did You design me for? 🔑 DEVELOP IT — Joseph had the dream at seventeen. But it took thirteen years of pit and prison before the throne. God gave the gift. The difficulty developed the character the gift would need. Daniel studied for three years and came out ten times better than everyone else. Divine gift + human diligence = excellence that neither produces alone. 🔑 DEPLOY IT — David “served the purpose of God in his own generation” (Acts 13:36) and then rested. Find your mandate. Develop it. Deploy it in service to your generation. Not waiting for a bigger platform. Start where you are, with what you have. “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” — Ephesians 2:10 You are a masterpiece with a mandate. Discover it. Develop it. Beauty from ashes. 🌹✨ There are seasons when all we can see are the ashes—the broken dreams, painful memories, disappointments, and pieces of a life we thought could never be restored. But God sees something we cannot yet see. He sees what He is creating. Isaiah 61:3 reminds us that He gives “beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.” Jesus does not discard the broken pieces of our lives. He redeems them. He takes the places that once carried pain and begins planting something beautiful there. What looked like an ending becomes the ground where grace begins to bloom. August 10 🌿 "WHO GOD SAYS I AM" I WAS CREATED FOR A PURPOSE 📖 Ephesians 2:10 (LLV) — “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Have you ever wondered, "Why am I here?" "What purpose does my life really have?" Those questions have echoed through every generation. God answers them with one beautiful word: "Workmanship." You are not an accident. You are not an afterthought. You are God's workmanship— His masterpiece, carefully and lovingly formed. An artist does not create without purpose. Every brushstroke has meaning. Every detail belongs. So it is with God. He has woven your life with intention. Your gifts. Your experiences. Even the seasons of difficulty He can use to shape the person He created you to be. Paul goes even further. God has prepared good works for us beforehand. That means we do not have to spend our lives searching for significance. Instead, we walk with Christ, trusting that He will lead us into the very purpose He has planned. Your purpose may never make headlines. It may be found in encouraging a friend. Teaching a child. Serving a neighbor. Sharing the hope of Christ. Or simply being faithful where God has placed you today. In God's kingdom, faithfulness is never small. Every act of obedience becomes part of the beautiful work He is accomplishing through you. A new beginning begins by believing that God created you with intention and is leading you into the purpose He has prepared for your life. Reflection: Where has God placed me today, and how can I faithfully serve Him right where I am? Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me with purpose. Help me stop comparing my life with others and instead faithfully walk the path You have prepared for me. Open my eyes to the opportunities You place before me each day, and let my life become a reflection of Your workmanship. In Jesus' name, Amen.
