Some tasks feel important because people notice them. Others seem so ordinary that we wonder whether they matter at all. We answer emails, clean rooms, finish assignments, serve quietly, raise families, and fulfill responsibilities that may never receive applause. Yet Scripture gives ordinary work eternal weight. The question is not whether our task looks significant—but whether we are doing it for Christ.

The command reaches beyond church ministry into every legitimate responsibility God has placed before us. Whether our work is public or hidden, celebrated or unnoticed, Christ is the true Master we serve.

A craftsman may spend hours working on something nobody will ever see inside a finished building. Yet he works carefully because he knows what he is building matters. So it should be with us. Heaven sees what earth overlooks. The unseen task, the ordinary duty, and the quiet responsibility can all become worship when they are done faithfully before the Lord.

    Scripture teaches and reminds us that our labor matters to God. We do not work for applause; we work for approval from above. Our workplace, home, church, and daily responsibilities can become places where Christ is honored.

The audience of our work is ultimately not man—it is God. Don’t work like a mouse that only moves when the cat is away. We are not called to perform when people are watching and relax when they are gone. The task may be ordinary, the audience may be small, and the reward may be unseen—but the Lord sees every faithful hand.

    Before Christ called us to work, He worked for us. The risen Lord now sends us as His servants, not to chase recognition, but to glorify Him in all we do.

Are you treating your ordinary responsibilities as interruptions or as opportunities to glorify Christ? What task have you been doing reluctantly because nobody seems to notice? You don't need Christ merely to make your work successful—you need Him to make your work worship. Whatever your hands find to do, do it for Him. • Building Blocks To Growing In Jesusโ€ฆ

SENSITIVITY AND SUBMISSION TO GODโ€™s WORD

Proverbs 3:1-2 โ€” "My son, don't forget my instruction. Let your heart guard my commands, because they will help you live a long time and provide you with well-being."

Psalm 119:105 โ€” "Your word is a lamp before my feet and a light for my journey."

Walking the path of faith requires a steady anchor and a discerning heart. In a world full of shifting opinions, loud voices, and subtle spiritual errors, God has not left us to guess. He has given us His living, active Word as a reliable standard to guide our steps, protect our minds, and draw us closer to Him.

True spiritual sensitivity begins when we approach the Scriptures with a humble and teachable spirit. Instead of forcing our own desires onto the text, we allow the Bible to search our hearts, correct our motives, and shape our character unfolding a life of genuine obedience and daily renewal. This kind of submission is not a burden; it is an act of deep trust in a loving Father who knows what is best for us.

When we hide God's truth in our hearts, we build a natural defense against deception arming our minds with discernment and anchoring our souls against the shifting tides of the world. We learn to spot the counterfeitsโ€”messages that flatter human pride, promise cheap grace, or distort the character of Jesus Christ. Grounded in Scripture, we can test every teaching against the unchanging truth of the Gospel.

Ultimately, submitting to God's Word transforms how we live each day. It moves us from merely hearing spiritual truths to actively putting them into practice through love, obedience, and service. As we let His word be a lamp to our feet, we walk with confidence, knowing we are anchored in the truth that never fails.

The key to having true sensitivity to Godโ€™s Word involves our having true discernment working in our lives on a daily basis:

True discernment always uses the Bible as the final authority. It is not based on gut feelings, cultural trends, or personal intuition.
How it works: Just as a bank teller is trained to spot counterfeit bills by studying real currency exhaustively, a believer sharpens discernment by deeply knowing the absolute truth of God's Word.

Discernment is not merely an intellectual skill; it is a spiritual fruit made possible by a close walk with God.
How it works: The Holy Spirit actively lives inside every believer to act as an internal compass, giving a sense of spiritual alignment or warning when something contradicts God's character.

Truth always produces godliness, humility, love, and a high view of Jesus Christ. Error eventually produces pride, division, exploitation, or unrepentant sin.
How it works: When evaluating a teaching, movement, or leader, look past the initial presentation or emotional appeal to examine the long-term character and spiritual fruit it leaves behind.

CLOSING PRAYER: Heavenly Father, grant me a discerning heart anchored deeply in Your unchanging Word. Protect my mind from deception, and let Your Holy Spirit guide my every step. Help me to test all things with your wisdom Lord, walk in humble obedience, and reflect the love of Jesus Christ in a world so easily lost in the dark. Amen.

Life’s burdens can feel too heavy to carry alone. Trials, temptations, grief, and tears can weigh down even the strongest believer. We are often taught to handle our problems privately and never show weakness. Yet God never designed His people to walk in isolation. Whether we are hiding our struggles or overlooking someone else’s, the question is not whether burdens exist—but whether we will carry them together.

The command is simple but weighty. The Christian life is not merely about enduring our own trials; it also calls us to help fellow believers through seasons when their burdens become too heavy. Grace received should become grace extended.

A single branch may break under fruit’s weight, but many together can bear much more. So it is with the church. Sometimes we need someone to pray with us, weep with us, encourage us, or lovingly correct us. Some burdens become lighter when they are carried together. Biblical fellowship is not merely sitting beside one another—it is standing with one another.

    Scripture repeatedly calls us to this kind of compassionate care. We are commanded to “๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ซ๐˜ฐ๐˜ช๐˜ค๐˜ฆ ๐˜ธ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ฉ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ต ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฐ ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ซ๐˜ฐ๐˜ช๐˜ค๐˜ฆ, ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ธ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฑ ๐˜ธ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ฉ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ต ๐˜ธ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฑ” (๐‘๐จ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ:๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“), and to “๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ง๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ต ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ง๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฃ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ, ๐˜ด๐˜ถ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ต ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ธ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ฌ, ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฑ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ต ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ” (๐Ÿ ๐“๐ก๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐š๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐š๐ง๐ฌ ๐Ÿ“:๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’), We are not only called to walk together; but we are called to be a burden-bearer.

Don’t be a spectator tossing water bottles from the stands—enter the race. A simple prayer, timely encouragement, listening ear, or faithful presence can beautifully express Christ’s love. True fellowship means getting our hands dirty in the trenches of another’s grief.

Christ carried the burden we could never carry ourselves. At Calvary, Jesus bore our sins and suffered in our place. He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again according to the Scriptures We carry one another because our Saviour first carried our greatest burden—our sin.

Who around you is carrying something too heavy to bear alone? Have you become so occupied with your own concerns that you no longer notice the hurting beside you? You don't need Christ merely to carry your own burdens—you need Him to teach you how to carry others with His love. Look around. Someone may not need another sermon today—they may need someone willing to carry together.

๐๐ซ๐š๐ฒ๐ž๐ซ: Heavenly Father, thank You for carrying us through burdens we could never bear alone. Forgive us for overlooking those who are hurting around us. Give us compassionate hearts, willing hands, and faithful spirits to encourage, strengthen, and help one another for the glory of Christ. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Remember, a dose of God’s Word a day will keep you going all day!

• Dear Father,

Edmund Gettier, a philosopher, proposed an addition to the concept of epistemology-- the study of knowledge, when he argued that a person can believe something without knowing it, but no one can claim to know something without believing it. How true is this of humanity? There is also a branch of epistemology called empiricism, which supports the idea that the most reliable source of human knowledge is experience or sensory perceptions. My problem with this view is that it limits the truth of humanityโ€™s existence to what is attainable in his lifetime.

I was reminded of Thomas, who, when the other disciples told him, โ€œWe have seen the Lord!โ€ responded, โ€œUnless I see the nail marks in His hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.โ€ The issue, however, lies not in the limitations that exist in obtaining the experience needed for an unwavering belief in You, but in how willing we are to pay the price to know what we have always believed.

It is true that many of us are like Thomas, with certain doubts and confusions, believing in Jesus but not all that He purports to represent. Perhaps this is what Edmund communicates: that there is a risk in believing when sufficient knowledge is lacking. Isnโ€™t this one of the reasons we struggle with our faith? Isnโ€™t this the reason we doubt-- asking questions without necessarily seeking answers?

Today, I took it upon myself to reflect on how much I have put into knowing all that I believe about You.

We often compare ourselves with others—wishing we had their talent, their platform, their influence, or their opportunities. Yet comparison can make us overlook what God has already placed in our hands. Whether our gift seems impressive or ordinary, the question is not whether we have ability—but whether we are faithfully using what God has entrusted to us.

Spiritual gifts are not trophies for personal recognition but expressions of God’s grace, entrusted to us for the service and strengthening of His people. Grace gives the gift—and grace calls us to use it faithfully.

The word “๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฅ” ๐˜ชmplies management, not ownership. Our gifts aren’t possessions; they’re meant to build each other up. Like a toolbox, value lies not in impressive tools but in purpose. A hammer can’t replace a screwdriver. Likewise, God equips each of us uniquely. We don’t need another’s gift to fulfill our calling—only faithfulness in stewarding with the gift God gave us.

    Scripture shows the body of Christ has many members, each with unique roles. Some teach, serve, give, lead, or show mercy, “๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ช๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฆ๐˜ด ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜จ๐˜ช๐˜ง๐˜ต๐˜ด, ๐˜ฃ๐˜ถ๐˜ต ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ด๐˜ข๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ ๐˜š๐˜ฑ๐˜ช๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ต... Different gifts don’t mean different worth. We are not all the same, but we are all called to serve.

    The danger isn’t just wasting gifts but using them selfishly. Without humility, ministry becomes pride’s stage. Don’t turn God’s gift into a platform; we serve not to be seen, but because we have been saved.

Before calling us to serve, Christ served us first: “not to be ministered unto, but to minister” (๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ค ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ:๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ“). He humbled Himself, “๐˜ฆ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ฉ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ค๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ด๐˜ด” (๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐š๐ง๐ฌ ๐Ÿ:๐Ÿ•–๐Ÿ–). Through His death, burial, and resurrection, He secured our redemption Now, the risen Lord sends us as stewards—not to hoard grace, but to spread it. Christ gave Himself for us; now we give ourselves in service to Him.

What has God placed in your hands that you have been overlooking, comparing, or withholding? Are you using His gift for His glory or your recognition? You don't need Christ merely to discover your gift—you need Him to surrender every gift to His service. The gift is God's. The opportunity is His. The glory must be His. Don't turn God's gift into your glory when He gave it to you for His ministry.

๐๐ซ๐š๐ฒ๐ž๐ซ: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gifts and opportunities You have entrusted to us. Forgive us for comparing ourselves with others or seeking recognition through what You have given. Teach us to serve faithfully, humbly, and joyfully, using every gift for the blessing of others and the glory of Christ. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Remember, a dose of God’s Word a day will keep you going all day!

• Hello, I would like to share with you the message from 18 aoรปt 2026 from โ€œThe Good Seedโ€ daily calendar.

Your word is truth. (John 17:17)

    Reliable
The archaeologist William Ramsay (1852-1916) was known for carefully studying the events described in the New Testament, especially in the Acts of the Apostles and in the Pauline Epistles. When he first travelled to Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey), many cities mentioned in Acts were not known, and even less was known about their history.
โ€ƒThe Acts of the Apostles was the only historical document, and Ramsay, who was sceptical, fully expected his research to expose Luke, the writer of Acts, as hopelessly inaccurate. Therefore, he set out to thoroughly examine this book of the Bible. He devoted his life to excavating the ancient cities and documents of Asia Minor.
โ€ƒAfter a lifelong study, however, he concluded: โ€œFurther study โ€ฆ showed that the book [Acts of the Apostles] could bear the most minute scrutiny as an authority for the facts of the Aegean world, and that it was written with such judgment, skill, art, and perception of the truth as to be a model of historical statement.โ€ Ramsay further stated, โ€œI set out to look for truth on the borderland between Greece and Asia, and found it here [in Acts of the Apostles]. You may press the words of Luke in a degree beyond any other historianโ€™s and they stand the keenest scrutiny and the hardest treatment.โ€
โ€ƒWhen Ramsay turned to the Apostle Paulโ€™s letters, which critics labelled as forgeries, he concluded that all thirteen of Paulโ€™s New Testament letters were authentic.
โ€ƒAll reports of the Bible are reliable because Godโ€™s Word is truth!

    Todayโ€™s reading: Joshua 18:1-28 โ€“ 1 Corinthians 14:13-25
