HEAR BOTH SIDES BEFORE YOU JUDGE

    Scripture Reading:
    Proverbs 18:17 (TPT)
"There are two sides to every story. The first one to speak sounds true until you hear the other side and they set the record straight."

Wisdom requires patience before judgment. This principle is especially important for anyone entrusted with leadership, responsibility, or the task of helping resolve disputes. Because we deal with people who have different perspectives, emotions, motives, and experiences, we must be careful not to make conclusions based solely on the first account we hear.

The first person to report a matter may sound convincing, but their version may not contain the entire story. If we act too quickly, we may make an unjust decision, damage someone's reputation, or become unknowingly involved in a conflict we do not fully understand.

God's Word teaches us to establish matters carefully:

    Deuteronomy 19:15 (TPT)
"A single witness shall not suffice against a person for any crime or for any wrong in connection with any offense that he has committed. Only on the evidence of two witnesses or of three witnesses shall a charge be established."

Therefore, do not judge a matter simply because someone came to you first, spoke with strong emotion, or presented a convincing story. Emotions can influence how people describe events, and every person naturally sees situations from their own perspective.

Wisdom listens carefully, asks questions, examines the facts, and gives people an opportunity to be heard. This does not mean that every accusation is false or that wrongdoing should be ignored. It means that justice should be pursued with patience, fairness, and discernment.

If you are in a position of leadership, never allow haste, partiality, or emotional pressure to control your judgment. Seek the truth before making a decision. Hear the matter carefully, consider all relevant perspectives, and allow God's wisdom to guide you.

    Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the wisdom of Your Word. Give me patience and discernment whenever I am required to make decisions or resolve conflicts. Help me to listen carefully, examine matters fairly, and never judge a situation based on only one side of the story. May I lead and relate to others with wisdom, justice, humility, and love. In Jesus' name, Amen.

PREPARE WISELY FOR THE OPPORTUNITIES AHEAD

    Scripture Reading:
    Ecclesiastes 11:2 (TPT)
"Divide your investments among many ventures, for you never know what kind of bad luck might happen in this world."

Wisdom teaches us to prepare for the future while making the most of the opportunities available to us today. Ecclesiastes reminds us of the importance of diversification and wise stewardship because no one knows everything that tomorrow may bring.

As we navigate these changing times, we must be willing to learn, adapt, and remain open to new opportunities. A rigid mindset can limit a person's ability to recognize possibilities, while wisdom enables us to explore, grow, and respond appropriately to changing circumstances.

Do not limit yourself to only one area of knowledge, skill, or enterprise. You may not become an expert in every field, but you can develop an understanding of different opportunities and learn how various areas work. Remain curious, teachable, and willing to explore new directions.

The principle of diversification can also apply to how we manage our resources. Where appropriate, learn the value of saving, planning, and making responsible financial decisions. Do not place everything you have in one direction without considering the risks involved. Seek knowledge, count the cost, and make decisions with wisdom.

We are living in a rapidly changing world, especially with the growth of technology and artificial intelligence. Therefore, it is important to remain informed and develop relevant skills. Explore how emerging technologies may create new opportunities for learning, work, business, and investment—but always approach every opportunity with wisdom, careful research, and responsible judgment.

Most importantly, remember that our confidence is not in money, markets, technology, or human systems. Our confidence is in God, who gives wisdom, creativity, strength, and the ability to recognize and steward opportunities.

Be flexible, remain teachable, plan wisely, and prepare for the future. As you look in different directions, trust God to guide your steps and give you the wisdom to recognize the opportunities He places before you.

    Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the wisdom You make available to us through Your Word and Your Spirit. Help us to recognize opportunities, manage our resources wisely, remain teachable, and prepare responsibly for the future. Give us discernment to make sound decisions and the courage to explore new possibilities according to Your will. May we faithfully steward every opportunity and resource You place in our hands. In Jesus' name, Amen.

So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One!

  • The Passion Translation (TPT): A Textual Comparison

"Test all things; hold fast what is good." — 1 Thessalonians 5:21 (NKJV)

    What is The Passion Translation?

The Passion Translation (TPT), translated by Brian Simmons, is presented as a translation that seeks to convey the "heart" and passion of Scripture. Unlike formal-equivalence translations (such as the NKJV, NASB, or LSB), TPT frequently expands the biblical text with explanatory and devotional language.

These additions are often not represented by corresponding words in the underlying Hebrew or Greek.

    ---

    A. Passages Commonly Omitted

TPT follows the modern critical Greek text in many places. Consequently, verses found in the Textus Receptus (and therefore the NKJV and KJV) are omitted or placed in footnotes.

    Examples include:

    - Matthew 17:21
    - Matthew 18:11
    - Matthew 23:14
    - Mark 7:16
    - Mark 9:44
    - Mark 9:46
    - Mark 11:26
    - Mark 15:28
    - Luke 17:36
    - John 5:4
    - Acts 8:37
    - Acts 15:34
    - Acts 24:7
    - Acts 28:29
    - Romans 16:24
    - 1 John 5:7–8 (longer reading)

These omissions are shared by most modern translations using the critical Greek text and should not be regarded as unique to TPT.

    ---

    B. Documented Interpretive Additions

    Psalm 23:1

    Hebrew:

«"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want."»

    TPT:

«"The Lord is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough."»

    Added concepts:

    - "my best friend"
    - "always"
    - expanded explanation of "I shall not want"

None appear as lexical equivalents in the Hebrew text.

    ---

    Galatians 2:20

    Greek:

«"I have been crucified with Christ..."»

TPT expands Paul's statement with additional language concerning identity, heavenly life, and empowerment not present in the Greek text.

    ---

    John 3:3–8

Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus includes explanatory wording that goes beyond the Greek vocabulary.

    ---

    Romans 8

Several verses include interpretive phrases intended to explain Paul's meaning rather than translate his exact wording.

    ---

    Ephesians 1

Paul's prayer is expanded with devotional language not directly represented in the Greek.

    ---

    Philippians 3

Additional explanatory phrases regarding knowing Christ and spiritual union appear beyond the source text.

    ---

    Isaiah 53

Several verses contain interpretive wording absent from the Hebrew.

    ---

    Psalm 91

Protective promises are expanded with devotional applications not found in the Hebrew.

    ---

    Song of Songs

This book contains some of TPT's most extensive expansions. Numerous verses are significantly longer than the Hebrew text and include interpretive language without direct lexical counterparts.

    ---

    Important Distinction

    Every translation interprets.

However, there is a significant difference between:

    - translating what the original languages say, and
    - incorporating commentary directly into the biblical text.

Readers should distinguish between inspired Scripture and a translator's interpretation.

    ---

    A Recommended Study Practice

    When studying Scripture:

    1. Read a faithful translation (NKJV, NASB, LSB, or similar).
    2. Compare difficult passages with an interlinear Hebrew or Greek text.
    3. Consult multiple translations before forming doctrine.
    4. Treat devotional paraphrases as commentary rather than as primary textual evidence.

    ---

«"The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times."

    Psalm 12:6 (NKJV)»

The aim is not to condemn a translation, but to encourage Berean discernment.

«"These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so."

    Acts 17:11 (NKJV)»

  • All that I needed you’ve already provided, great is thy Faithfulness!

Christ is all we need and will ever need. God knew and that was why He gave us Jesus Christ. God knew that money wasn’t what we needed, because there were rich people even before Jesus Christ came. Rich people with salvation, wealthy people without salvation, business mogul without salvation, teachers without salvation. people were not saved neither were they in right standing with God. And that was what Christ came for, to put us back in right standing with God knowing that being saved is all we needed.

    Roman 8:32 [TPT]
For God has proved His love by giving us His greatest treasure, the gift of His son and since God freely offered Him up as the sacrifice for us all, He certainly won’t withhold from us anything else he has to give.
