• Your First Assignment: Leading Souls to the Savior

    Matthew 28:19–20, Proverbs 11:30, Romans 10:13–15, Luke 19:10

Every believer has many gifts, talents, and callings — but there is one universal assignment given to all who have received Christ: to lead souls to the Savior.

Before ministry titles, before church departments, before positions, before miracles — the first mandate Jesus gave is “Go ye therefore…” (Matthew 28:19).

Soul winning is not an optional activity. It is the heartbeat of God, the joy of heaven, and the purpose of salvation.

    1. SOUL WINNING IS THE GREATEST KINGDOM RESPONSIBILITY

    Matthew 28:19–20
Jesus did not say, “Go and build churches,” or “Go and seek positions.” He said Go and make disciples.

The final words of a man reveal his priorities; the final words of Jesus revealed His passion for souls.
Without soul winning, Christianity becomes an empty religion.

Soul winning is what converts believers into workers and spectators into soldiers.

    2. SOUL WINNING IS THE WISDOM OF GOD

Proverbs 11:30 – “He that winneth souls is wise.”
Why is soul winning called wisdom?

    Because it has eternal reward.

Because it rescues people from eternal destruction.

Because it multiplies heaven’s population and depopulates hell.

Heaven celebrates over one sinner that repents (Luke 15:7).
This means a soul winner brings joy to heaven — what a privilege!

    3. SOUL WINNING IS THE REASON JESUS CAME

Luke 19:10 – “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

If saving the lost was the mission of Jesus, then saving the lost must be the mission of every believer.

You cannot follow Christ without pursuing what Christ pursued.
You cannot claim to be like Jesus if you ignore the lost.

    4. SOUL WINNING IS EVERY BELIEVER’S FIRST ASSIGNMENT

Romans 10:13–15 reveals a chain of responsibility:

People cannot call on Jesus unless they believe.

They cannot believe unless they hear.

They cannot hear unless someone preaches.

Someone cannot preach unless they are sent.

    You are that sent person.

You are God’s voice, God’s hands, God’s messenger to someone’s destiny.

Your preaching may be the only sermon someone will ever hear.

Your testimony may be the message that pulls a soul out of darkness.

    5. SOUL WINNING IS AN URGENT KINGDOM MANDATE

Eternity is real. Heaven is real. Hell is real.

People are dying daily without Christ. There is no time to waste.

    You don’t need a microphone.
    You don’t need a pulpit.
    You don’t need a title.

All you need is love for souls and the willingness to speak.

    6. HOW TO FULFILL YOUR FIRST ASSIGNMENT

    Pray for the lost
Before speaking to men about God, speak to God about men.

    Preach with compassion
Jesus won souls by love, not condemnation.

    Use your testimony
People cannot argue with what God did for you.

    Share the Gospel everywhere
At work, on the bus, in the market, online — be a light.

    Invite people to church
A simple invitation can save a life.

    Disciple the converts
Soul winning does not end at salvation; it continues in nurturing.

Your first assignment is not fame.
    Not wealth.
    Not popularity.
    Not positions.

Your first assignment is leading souls to the Savior.

If you make God’s priority your priority, God will make your life a testimony.

Lift up your voice today and say:
“Lord, use me to win souls. Make me Your instrument. Help me lead many to Christ.”

    PRAYER
Father, ignite in me a fresh passion for souls.

Open my eyes to see opportunities to share the Gospel.

Give me boldness, compassion, and wisdom.

Let my life bring many into Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
