Our hearts are heavy today. What should have been a morning of joy, hope, and Easter celebration in Gujranwala has turned into a scene of unimaginable grief.
A truck rammed into an Easter procession, leaving families shattered, lives lost, and many of our neighbors fighting for their lives in hospitals. While some may call this an accident, the timing and the nature of the event point toward a targeted act of violence against the Christian community.
At Good Samaritan Human Rights Pakistan, we believe that no one should fear for their life while practicing their faith. We aren't just calling for an investigation; we are calling for justice that is swift and transparent. We demand:
1-A deep-dive investigation into the motives behind this incident.
2-Immediate accountability for those responsible—hatred cannot be allowed to hide behind the wheel of a vehicle.
3-Real protection for religious minorities, ensuring that every citizen can celebrate their holy days in peace.
