• DAWN WATCH PRAYER
    Day 380

“You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek You; I thirst for You, my whole being longs for You, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.” — Psalm 63:1

In a dry and thirsty land, only His presence truly satisfies. Not success, not comfort, not answers for God Himself is the desire.

May the city hunger for His presence. May the nation thirst for His righteousness. May the Church seek Him above every other pursuit.

Let prayer rise from a generation that refuses to be satisfied with anything less than God.

  • Colossians 3:1-17, describes the new life as our new nature, one in which there is no discrimination. But it's almost impractical for something to remain in its original state after a period of time. Many eras have passed and the life Christ gave is new—hasn't changed, will not change, will never become old. This posed the question—why?
The constitution gets amended, laws get reenacted, cable subscriptions are renewed for a 30-day period. But the changes that takes place never goes unnoticed.

Again, I asked, "why?" The answer I got was this:
The structures and systems that govern the world have no permanence. Everything changes because new ideas are conceived, the world evolves, the conflict of interests is an integral part of our flawed society and lastly, the desire attain perfection.

But the new life retains its nature as new, refreshed, renewed, pure because it is absolute, perfect, and without flaws. It is unchanging.
This brings me to Hebrew 13:8, which says,

"Jesus, the same, yesterday, today and forever."

This sums it up. The source of the new life is unchangeable.

Over to you, how would you describe the new life?

  • The Cry That Changed Everything

“Father, into Thy hands I commend my spirit.”
This was not the end. It was the turning point.
From pain to promise. From death to resurrection.
Jesus trusted the Father—and rose in power. So can we.
