• God can use dreams for many purposes. Here are four biblical ways He speaks through them.

    1 –God Can Impart Through Dreams

    In 1 Kings 3:5–12, the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream and invited him to ask for whatever he desired. Solomon asked for an understanding heart so that he could lead God’s people well and distinguish between right and wrong. The Lord was pleased with his request and gave him extraordinary wisdom.

    Solomon did not merely dream about God—he encountered God in his dream. What happened while he slept resulted in a genuine impartation that affected his waking life.

    There have been times when I sensed the Holy Spirit’s presence intensely in a dream and then awakened with that same sense of His presence in the room. A dream can become a genuine place of encounter. God can impart wisdom, courage, direction, or spiritual strength through it.

    2 –God Can Reveal the Future Through Dreams

    Genesis 41 records Pharaoh’s troubling dreams and Joseph’s God-given interpretation. The dreams revealed that seven years of prosperity would be followed by seven years of famine. Because God revealed what was coming, Egypt was able to prepare.

    God can reveal future events through dreams. Sometimes, He may show you something before it happens; at other times, He may confirm what He has already been speaking to your heart.

    Years ago, at about age ten, I had a dream in which I saw an old man carrying a load in a "Ghana Must Go" bag. I took the load from the old man and walked with him for a distance. At a point , he asked me to put the load down, and when I did, he opened the bag; it was full of Bibles. He gave me one of them and told me to cherish it. He then said he could carry on from that point. He moved a distance away and vanished into thin air. In another dream at a different time, I was given Genesis 17:1–4. In a third dream, a well-built man in a white robe came to me and gave me a briefcase, telling me to guard it well, as everything in it was for me. I opened it and found a Bible and a white handkerchief with a dove drawn at the center, inscribed with the words "Holy Spirit."

    When I shared these dreams, I was told God would use me. Since then, God has used dreams to show me what lies ahead, what is present, and even what is in the past that needs to be unraveled.

    3 –God Can Reveal Important Information

    After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him it was safe to return to Israel with Mary and Jesus (Matthew 2:19–20). The dream provided the information Joseph needed for a decision in that moment.

    Daniel also declared, “But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and he has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the future” (Daniel 2:28, NLT).

    The Holy Spirit may reveal a missing piece of information, bring clarity to something you have been sensing, or expose a matter that needs prayer. But dreams must never make you paranoid or suspicious of everyone around you. Do not make accusations or major decisions based on a dream alone. Remain discerning, levelheaded, prayerful, and submitted to Scripture.

    4 –God Can Warn Through Dreams

    God may use a dream to warn you about physical danger, spiritual attack, a damaging decision, or a difficult season ahead. Sometimes a warning calls you to act; other times, it simply calls you to pray and prepare.

    In Genesis 15:12–14, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and a terrifying darkness came over him. God warned him that his descendants would be oppressed for 400 years, but He also promised to judge the nation that enslaved them and bring His people out with great wealth.

    This passage corrects a common misconception: a dream from God will not always feel pleasant. A warning may produce a serious or even troubling emotional response. The presence of a negative emotion does not automatically prove that a dream is not from God. The more important questions are whether the message agrees with Scripture and whether it ultimately leads you toward faith, obedience, prayer, and redemption.

    God bless you!

  • What if your birthday became more than a celebration—what if it became a sacred opportunity to pause, reflect and prepare spiritually for the year ahead?

    Many of us celebrate another year of life without intentionally looking back, thanking God for His faithfulness or prayerfully placing the next chapter into His hands.

    That is why I created Number My Days, a guided birthday prayer retreat app based on my book, Number My Days: A Guided Birthday Prayer Retreat Journal.

    Inspired by Psalm 90:12—“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom”—the app guides you through Scripture, meditation, prayer and private reflection in twelve important areas of life, including:

    * Thanksgiving and remembering God’s faithfulness
    * Bringing your sorrows honestly before God
    * Repentance and renewed consecration
    * Intimacy with God
    * Identity and purpose in Christ
    * Family and future generations
    * Health and well-being
    * Calling and service
    * Finances and stewardship
    * Relationships
    * Spiritual warfare
    * Vision for the year ahead

    Although the app was created around the meaningful milestone of a birthday, you do not have to wait until your birthday to use it.

    The Scriptures, prayers and reflection prompts can support you whenever you need to pause, seek God’s direction, renew your commitment to Him or prayerfully begin a new season.

    Created for your birthday. Meaningful for every season.

    The app is almost ready for its official launch, but before I introduce the paid version, I would love the help of a few people from this Christian community to test it.

    You can create an account, explore the different sections and use the app as you normally would. For the purpose of testing, your birthday does not need to be near. Simply choose a prayer journey and experience it as a personal retreat with God.

    Afterwards, I would be grateful for your honest feedback:

    * Was anything confusing?
    * Did you encounter anything that did not work?
    * Was the prayer journey easy to follow?
    * Did your entries save correctly?
    * What did you find most meaningful?
    * What could make the experience better or easier to use?

    During this testing stage, the app is available free of charge to selected testers.

    You can begin here:

    [https://numbered-days-retreat.lovable.app]

    If you decide to test it, please leave a comment or send me a private message so that I can follow up with you for feedback.

    Thank you for helping me shape a resource that I pray will encourage people to enter every new year and season of life with greater wisdom, gratitude, clarity and surrender to God.

  • I Know the Master of the Wind
    A Prophetic Prayer for Every Heavy Heart.

    “I know the Master of the wind,
    I know the Maker of the rain.
    He can calm the storm,
    make the sun shine again.
    I know the Master of the wind.”

    This evening, I speak peace over every heart that is heavy, every soul that is weary, and every person carrying a burden they cannot explain.

    May the Lord Jesus, the Master of the wind, step into every storm around your life. Where there is confusion, may He bring clarity. Where there are tears, may He bring comfort. Where there is disappointment, may He restore hope. Where you feel forgotten, may His presence remind you that you are never alone.

    You may not understand what you are passing through today, but God is still in control. The storm may be loud, but the voice of Jesus is greater. The night may be long, but morning is coming. Your story is not ending in pain—God is writing a new chapter of restoration,
    healing, and victory.

    Prophetic Declaration:
    I declare that every storm raging against your peace is becoming still in the name of Jesus. May God heal the wounds nobody sees, strengthen the heart that is tired, wipe away secret tears, and renew your strength. May you receive grace to keep moving forward even when you cannot see the road ahead.

    The same God who calmed the storm in the boat is able to calm the storm in your heart.

    “Peace, be still.” — Mark 4:39
    Tonight and in the days to come, may your heart find rest in God. You will smile again. You will sing again. You will rejoice again. You will testify again.
    The storm will not have the final word.
    Jesus does.

    🏽 May the Lord heal every heavy heart and give you supernatural peace, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

  • Sometimes I think we ask God for clarity when what we really want is certainty.

    And those aren't always the same thing.

    You can have enough clarity to take the next step without knowing exactly where the whole road leads.

    I'm learning to be a little more comfortable with that.

    One step at a time.

  • Victory Belongs to the Lord

    Scripture

    Judges 7:2 (NKJV)
    And the Lord said to Gideon The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me saying My own hand has saved me

    God Works Best When We Rely on Him

    Judges chapter 7 continues Gideon’s story at a surprising moment. Gideon has gathered an army to face the Midianites but God says the army is too large. This seems backwards. Yet God’s concern is not military strength but spiritual clarity. If Israel wins with overwhelming numbers they may believe the victory came from themselves.

    God reduces the army in stages until only three hundred men remain. The purpose is clear. The victory must point unmistakably to God. When success cannot be explained by human strength God alone receives the glory.

    This chapter teaches that God sometimes removes what we rely on so that we learn to rely fully on Him. Weakness in our hands becomes strength in God’s hands. What feels insufficient is often exactly what God uses to display His power.

    For believers today Judges 7 reminds us that God is not impressed by numbers resources or human ability. He desires hearts that trust Him completely. When we depend on God rather than ourselves He works in ways that leave no doubt that He alone brought the victory.

    Reflection Questions

    1. Am I relying more on my ability or on God’s power

    2. Has God ever reduced something in my life to strengthen my faith

    3. How can I give God full glory for the victories I experience

    Prayer

    Lord God help me to trust You fully and not rely on my own strength. When You remove what I lean on teach me to lean on You instead. May my life point to Your power and may You receive all the glory for every victory. In Jesus name Amen.
