The cross is not just a symbol it is the ultimate proof of how far God was willing to go to redeem us. When Jesus died, He didn’t do it because we were worthy; He did it because His love was greater than our sin. Romans 5:8 reveals a God who took the first step toward us, “while we were still sinners.” That means God's love isn't reactive—it's proactive. Long before we repented, God already provided the evidence of forgiveness. John 3:16 confirms this by showing that Jesus was “given” as a gift of love. ✓.Whenever you feel unworthy, unloved, or uncertain about your place in God’s plan, look to the cross. It is Heaven’s eternal “I love you”—written in blood and sealed in resurrection power. Food for Thought: The cross settles every argument against your worth. Thinking about this passage from 2 Peter today. It's a powerful reminder about the seriousness of our walk after knowing Jesus. It talks about how getting free from the world's stuff through Christ, only to get tangled back up in it, leaves someone in a worse place than they started. 😥 It even says it might have been better not to know the right way than to know it and turn your back on it. Really drives the point home with these analogies: "If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.
