Psalm 3 — Peace in the Midst of the Storm
Psalm 3 is one of the most comforting prayers in all of Scripture. Written while King David fled from the rebellion of his own son, it reminds us that even the deepest betrayal and greatest trials cannot separate us from God's protection.
David acknowledged his fears, but he refused to let fear rule his heart. Instead, he declared that God was his shield, his glory, and the lifter of his head. Because his confidence rested in the Lord, he could sleep peacefully even while surrounded by enemies.
The same God who sustained David still sustains His people today.
Whatever battle you're facing, don't let fear have the final word. Lift your eyes to the Lord, pray with confidence, and trust that He is able to carry you through every trial.
