• Why did God reveal Himself through the Incarnation and not in a book?
If God had revealed Himself only in a book, this revelation would be limited to the letter; because words - no matter what they are - have certain limits and need interpretation, and sometimes the interpretation of the interpretation. Of course, there is a big difference between the letter and man. If speech were clearer than man, then speech would become the law and the legislation that governs man, and if the law were clearer than man himself, then that ultimately means that man will not understand the law.
But the Incarnation is a very important call to return religion (the relationship with God) to human nature, meaning that if we want to search for God, we should not search for Him in the universe; because the universe only reveals God's power. Likewise, we should not search for Him outside of man; because God outside of man exists and reveals His wisdom, but we must search for God inside man. Searching for God outside of man is a remnant of the human Fall, because after the Fall, man was searching for God outside himself; because his life had dried up and God no longer shone in him with a clear radiance as before the Fall. The person who searches for God outside his life will not find God; he may find His power, he may find His wisdom, but he will not find God as a person who deals with man on the level of a personal relationship. Therefore, we will not find God in the universe, but we find Him in Jesus Christ.
