2 Chronicles 17:9-10
"They taught in Judah, having with them the Book of the Law of the Lord... The fear of the Lord fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands surrounding Judah, and they did not make war against Jehoshaphat."
THE WORD OF GOD STRENGTHENS AND PROTECTS
King Jehoshaphat sent officials, Levites, and priests throughout Judah to teach God's Law. In response to this faithfulness, God established his fear among the neighboring nations and granted peace to the kingdom.
The faithful teaching of the Word not only transforms hearts, but it also changes the atmosphere of a nation. Where the Word of God is welcomed, believed, and honored, the Lord acts on behalf of his people.
The strength of a child of God, of the church, and even of our nations, lies not primarily in their resources, but in the centrality of Scripture and the obedience they show to that Word.
Make the Word of God a daily priority. The more it shapes your life, the more you walk in the wisdom, stability, and protection that God grants to those who obey Him.
O Lord, give me a deep love for Your Word. May it transform my life and make me a faithful witness to Your truth in the name of Jesus. Amen.
