Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you. How is everyone doing today? It is early and eventful in my house. Eventful for old, sleepy people, that is. I made coffee, fixed my husband’s meds, recorded his evening, walked the dog and spent some quality time in the alternative office. Last night I was able to get the middle part of the yard mowed before I lost daylight and today I will finish. Now, normally, my yard is done in one sitting. However, this week, that has not been the case. With borrowing a mower, I had to wait to get it back and because I borrowed it, I did my obligation to his other property first. I could have waited and done mine all in one stint, but I was having fun. Haha. So, I have a question for you. How do you decompress? Do you go for a walk/run? Do you dive into a good story? Is it television and snacks? Is there a hobby that you enjoy that helps reset your thoughts? How do you deal with the day’s events as they unfold and/or when you are thinking about them at the end of the day? For me, obviously, writing is one avenue that I take. Another is mowing—another is music. Of course, there are my phone games … little addictive boogers. Have you considered prayer as a route of decompression? A quick research of how many times it is recorded that Jesus prayed is over 25 times. A finer search shows that He withdrew at least seven times to pray. Meaning that he went away alone to pray. Now, if the Son of God, who came to earth as a human to demonstrate what He wanted us to do, left his pals, his family, his associates to pray and ‘decompress’ with God … don’t you think it might just work for us? Over the years, in order to make prayer sound OVER important, it has been made out that you need to have a large vocabulary of fancy words and beautiful songs of words that float through the air like a cloud. However, if you read about Jesus’ account in Gethsemane … that was not flowery words … that was “Hey Dad, is there another way we can take care of this plan of Yours? If there is, can we do that instead? Hey, but if there isn’t … I understand.” Jesus was on his face, sweating and pouring out his soul to the Father, pleading for a different solution to this problem. He had become very close to His disciples and the weight of what was going to happen fell on him like a ton of bricks. He felt the burden of His assignment in full force. If the Son of man cried out to God on multiple occasions, would it not seem relevant that we would too? The enemy would have us believe that if we cannot ‘fix’ or ‘accomplish’ something on our own, that we are weak and worthless. On the contrary, knowing that we have an avenue to strength and power, and then exercising that invitation to sit with Him, settles us and empowers us to persevere. I have confessed many times on here that my prayer life has not been the best. It is improving, however, and I can physically feel His presence as I calm from the day’s events or as I enter the day’s events. Coming from someone who routinely falls down, prayer has given me such strength to continue to take one step at a time each day. As today unfolds, as the events begin to swallow you whole, as the world tries to dictate your mood, remember that there is One who is always there and willing to listen. Go to Him. Pour out your soul to Him. Cry to Him. Plead with Him. And know that if the answer is not what YOU wanted, that there must be a higher cause. Jesus was not released from his commitment to die on the cross; he accepted it and used it as the way to unlock the doors of death and defeat Satan. What powerful use of your turmoil lies beyond your vision that will help someone in the long run? Release your anguish to the Father and embrace your chosen status, knowing that you were picked to set the tone for someone else in a similar situation. Be blessed. **My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me. Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will. – Matthew 26:38-39

Zephaniah speaks of a day that is coming, and he doesn't soften his words: *"the mighty man shall cry there bitterly... a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of darkness and gloominess"* (Zephaniah 1:14-15). This isn't fear for fear's sake. It's a serious warning, from someone who loves you, but won't pretend that sin has no consequence. How many of us live as if we had all the time in the world? Putting off repentance, avoiding a conversation that only you and God know needs to happen. A lie that became a habit. Betrayal that became routine. Envy, pride, addiction, immorality — things we learn to live with, until we forget they're sin. The Bible says: *"they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord"* (v. 17). A blind man doesn't know he's blind. You could be living far from God right now and not even realize it, because sin numbs the conscience before it destroys the life. And when everything you've built — money, status, the appearance of a good life — is worth nothing? *"Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord's wrath"* (v. 18). It won't be your job, your house, your achievements that defend you before God. It will be just you, your soul, and the account still left open. But listen to this: this warning exists because there's still time. God isn't condemning you right now — He's calling you. *"Seek the Lord... it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord's anger"* (Zephaniah 2:3). If something in this text touched you, don't ignore it. It's not a coincidence. Today could be the day to let go of whatever is pulling you away from God and truly return to Him. Repent. Don't wait for the day of wrath to do what you could have done today, in peace, on your knees, with a broken heart before Him.

PLEAD THE BLOOD Pleading the Blood of Jesus is not begging -- but a legal term. REVELATION 12:10-11 NKJ10 . . . the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. The devil is our accuser. The only successful plea is the Blood of Jesus. Pleading our ignorance, our innocence, or our merits will fail. Only relying on the Blood of our substitute sacrifice, the Lamb of God, will win our case before God the Judge. When we pray, we should base our prayer on the Blood of Jesus-- the price paid for our needs to be met -- instead of on our need or our worthiness. When we resist the devil, we cannot resist him based on who we are or what we have done, but only on the price paid for our complete redemption -- the precious Blood of Jesus. Faith in Jesus' Blood, released in testimony against the devil,will always cause him to flee. We must resist him, steadfast in faith, for as long as it takes. Our enemy can always be overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. We have victory over every evil because of Jesus' shed Blood. PSALM 107:2 NKJ 2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy, We must SAY we are redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb. Here are some example statements you could use in pleading the Blood. In the Name of Jesus, I plead the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ against this problem. I cover my home with the Blood of Jesus to protect all occupants and possessions from all evil.Especially in times of violence we need to cry out for the protection of the Blood for all our household. Parents can put the Blood on their "door" -- taking in all that pertains to them -- and claim salvation and protection for their entire family. The Blood is the one thing that will keep your family safe in these perilous days. When we awaken in the morning we should call for the Blood to be upon us and all that belongs to us. Before we sleep we should, in the same way, call for the protection of the Blood. SAY THIS: I plead the Blood of Jesus over all my household and all our possessions. God bless you!

*TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - WEDNESDAY, 26TH AUGUST, 2026.* 🌟*HOPE IN THE LORD*🌟 📖 Scripture: “Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.” — Psalm 130:7 (KJV). 🔥*Reflection – Our Hope Is in the Lord* Psalm 130 is a cry from the depths, yet it moves from distress to confident hope. The Psalmist reminds God's people that their hope should not be placed in circumstances, people, possessions, or human strength, but in the Lord. Why can we hope in God? Because mercy belongs to Him, and with Him there is plenteous redemption. God does not merely have enough mercy for a few situations. His mercy is abundant. He is able to redeem what appears lost, restore what has been broken, and bring hope into situations that seem beyond recovery. Today, whatever you are facing, don't allow your circumstances to determine the level of your hope. Put your hope in the Lord. Your situation may change. People may disappoint you. Plans may fail. Trust Him to redeem your story. 5️⃣ Pray for someone who has lost hope: Ask God to strengthen someone who is going through a difficult season. 6️⃣ Practice patience: If you are waiting for an answer from God, refuse to allow anxiety to make you abandon faith. 7️⃣ End with praise: Thank God in advance for His mercy, redemption, and faithfulness. 🔥*Prayer:* Heavenly Father, Thank You because You are my hope and my Redeemer. I thank You because Your mercy is abundant and Your power to redeem is beyond measure. Lord, I place my complete hope in You today. Forgive me for the times I have allowed circumstances to become greater than my confidence in You. Let Your mercy speak over every area of my life. Where I have made mistakes, restore me. And the Lᴏʀᴅ said: I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt. Exodus 3:7 It is noteworthy how people often turn to the Bible when circumstances become dire. A politician refers to the Covid-19 pandemic as a “plague of biblical proportions”. Confronted with extreme criticism, he deflects it by saying, “I am neither the Pharaoh who oppressed, nor the Moses who liberated.” Let’s rewind to ancient Egypt. The people of Israel groan under the oppression of Pharaoh. The situation becomes unbearable. The Israelites cry out to God and plead for deliverance. God hears and calls Moses to lead the people out of Egypt. But Pharaoh refuses to let them go; he is unwilling to relinquish his cheap labour force under any circumstances. So, God intervenes: He sends ten successive plagues upon Egypt, each worse than the last. That’s the biblical account in brief. Isn’t it striking that the politician didn’t mention God? Yet God played the pivotal role in the plagues in Egypt. It wasn’t Moses who saved the people but only God, through His mighty intervention. So, let’s ask ourselves: In times of distress, do we still call upon God or consciously ignore Him?Do we recognise that without God, we are lost?Do we come to the Saviour God who wants to save us? Back then, God sought to change Pharaoh’s mindset through the plagues. Even today, God sometimes speaks very seriously to us. What do we do? Do we harden ours hearts like Pharaoh? Or do we open ourselves to God, confess our sins to Him, and gratefully accept His offer of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ? Why can’t non-Christians talk to Jesus? Because they’re not connected to God the Father…because they haven’t believed on the One who God the Father sent. And the only way to connect to God the Father is to believe in (to trust in and rely upon) the One He sent, His only begotten (unique one-of-a-kind) Son. And to believe in Jesus is to believe that His voluntary, sacrificial, vicarious, atoning death on the cross is the only provision for my sin problem - in other words, Jesus’ death on the cross is the only way for me to be forgiven of my sin and to be put in right-standing with God the Father. So, since non-Christians haven’t done this, they’re not connected to God the Father; therefore God the Father does not hear their prayers. But if they’ll humble themselves and cry out for mercy and ask for forgiveness, God WILL hear that prayer.
