THE BIOGRAPHY OF JESUS CHRIST — THE LORD WHO SAVES.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life.” — John 14:6.

Jesus Christ is the central figure of Christianity—the Saviour who came into the world to reveal God's love, teach truth, and redeem humanity through His death and resurrection.

    1. PERSONAL INFORMATION
    Name: Jesus Christ
    Hebrew: Yeshua
    Greek: Iēsous
    Meaning: “The Lord Saves”
Birth: Traditionally dated to around 4–6 B.C., in Bethlehem of Judea.
    Family:
Mother: Mary, a young Jewish woman.
Legal Father: Joseph, a carpenter from Nazareth and descendant of David.
Siblings: The Gospels mention brothers—James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas—and also unnamed sisters (Mark 6:3).
Origin: Jesus was Jewish and was associated with the tribe of Judah and the royal lineage of David. He was raised in Nazareth of Galilee.

    2. EARLY LIFE
Birth in Bethlehem: Jesus was laid in a manger because there was no room in the inn (Luke 2:7).
Visitors: Shepherds came to see Him, and later wise men from the East visited Him.
Flight to Egypt: Joseph and Mary took Jesus to Egypt to escape Herod's attempt to kill Him (Matthew 2:13–15).
Return to Nazareth: After Herod's death, the family returned and settled in Nazareth.
At Age 12: Jesus astonished the teachers in the temple with His understanding and answers (Luke 2:46–47).

    3. EDUCATION & TEACHING
Jesus was not known to have attended a formal rabbinical school. Some people were amazed at His knowledge and asked, “How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?” (John 7:15).
    His teaching was marked by:
    Deep knowledge of Scripture
    Divine wisdom
    Dependence upon His Father
    Unparalleled spiritual authority
Jesus was called Rabbi, meaning Teacher, by many who recognized His authority (John 3:2).
His authority did not come from human credentials—it came from the truth He taught and the divine mission He fulfilled.

    4. CAREER & PUBLIC MINISTRY
Occupation: Jesus was known as a carpenter or craftsman (Mark 6:3). He worked before beginning His public ministry.
Public Ministry: He preached the Kingdom of God and:
    Healed the sick
    Cast out demons
    Forgave sins
    Performed miracles
    Raised the dead
    Taught God's truth
    Trained His disciples

Marriage & Children: The Bible does not record Jesus as having a wife or biological children. His earthly life was completely devoted to His Father's mission.
Personal Life: Scripture does not describe hobbies in the modern sense, but Jesus regularly:
    Withdrew to pray
Spent time alone with His Father
    Fasted
    Spent time in quiet places
His greatest passion was fulfilling the will of His Father and saving humanity.

    7. MAJOR TURNING POINTS

    12. HIS DEATH & RESURRECTION
Crucifixion: Jesus was crucified under the Roman governor Pontius Pilate, around A.D. 30–33, during Passover.
Place: Golgotha, meaning “The Place of the Skull,” outside Jerusalem.
Manner: He was crucified between two criminals after suffering severe physical abuse.

    The Gospel From Calvary

    TUESDAY 28TH JULY, 2026

THE BEGINNING OF THE GOOD NEWS

    ```TEXT: MARK 1:1-11, 14-15```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` "The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God" (MARK 1:1) and "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel" (MARK 1:15).

Mark wastes no time. No genealogy, no manger. He thunders: “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.” Good news begins not with man reaching up, but God coming down. John prepared the way, calling sinners to repentance in the wilderness. Then Jesus Himself came to Jordan, stepped into the waters where sinners stood, and was baptized — not because He needed cleansing, but to identify with us. And heaven tore open: “Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Three truths from the beginning of the Gospel: One, the Gospel has a beginning in Christ, not in you. “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ.” Your good works are not the beginning; Christ is. Calvary started before you ever believed. Two, the Gospel requires a response. “Repent ye, and believe the gospel.” John preached repentance, Jesus preached repentance. Two wings of the same bird — turn from sin, turn to the Savior. No repentance, no gospel. No belief, no salvation. Three, the Gospel brings heaven’s approval. “Thou art my beloved Son.” At Calvary, the Beloved would become forsaken so that forsaken sinners could become beloved. Because He went down into Jordan for us, He would go down into death for us.

Have you heard the beginning? Good news is here. The Son of God has come, heaven is open, the time is fulfilled. Don’t linger in the wilderness. Repent and believe. The same voice that said “Thou art my beloved Son” says over you today in Christ, “You are My beloved.”

✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` The Gospel did not begin with your decision for Christ; it began with Christ’s decision for you at Calvary.

  • Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

    Hebrews 4:14 ɴᴋᴊᴠ

He is Jesus. And what does that name mean to us? It tells us of the love that brought Him from the eternal throne to Bethlehem’s manger; it tells us of a life of suffering-service that led through sorrow and shame and loss to the cross of Calvary; it tells us how His love declared itself there. The waves of death uplifted their awful crests and rolled upon Him to engulf Him; the billows of Satan’s power roared about Him to destroy Him, and He went down beneath the deep waters of God’s judgment against sin on our behalf. But though He stood for us where all the seas met upon Him, yet was His love not quenched (Jn. 13:1). It burned with a fervent flame amid the fierce waters, and shed its wondrous light in the darkness of that awful hour, and there it triumphed, and now the Lord is risen: He lives upon the throne of God for us, and, as the hymn states, “We stand beyond the doom of all our sins through Jesus’ empty tomb.”

His love has not changed one whit: it is as deeply interested in our welfare today as it was when it bore our sins on the tree. Were it otherwise, Jesus would no longer bear that precious name for us, and we should have neither savior, priest, nor home.

But Jesus is the Son of God, for so our text presents Him, and while the name “Jesus” carries us in thought down to the very depths of the humiliation into which His love carried Him, “the Son of God” presents His glory, His magnificent greatness, the unmeasured splendor of His Person and inheritance. “Jesus” tells us of His preciousness to us. “The Son of God” tells us of His preciousness to God.

    #LA_FOI_AU_QUOTIDIEN

  • # There Has Never Been Anyone Like Jesus

    History has known great kings.

Powerful rulers have built mighty kingdoms.

Brilliant minds have changed the course of nations.

    Famous leaders have inspired millions.

Yet time has slowly erased their glory.

    Their kingdoms have fallen.

    Their names have faded.

    Their achievements have become history.

But one name has never lost its power.

    **Jesus Christ.**

He was born in a humble manger, yet heaven announced His arrival.

He owned no palace, yet He is the King of kings.

He commanded no army, yet countless hearts have surrendered to Him.

He wrote no book, yet His words have transformed more lives than all the libraries of the world.

He held no political office, yet His kingdom knows no borders.

He possessed no earthly riches, yet He offers treasures that never fade.

    The wind obeyed Him.

    The waves recognized His voice.

    Demons trembled before Him.

    The blind received sight.

    The lame walked.

    The broken found hope.

    The guilty discovered mercy.

    The dead were raised.

Where others saw impossible situations, Jesus spoke life.

Where others saw failures, Jesus saw people worth redeeming.

Where others built walls, Jesus opened His arms.

His greatness was never measured by power alone.

    It was revealed through humility.

The King washed the feet of His disciples.

The Creator touched lepers with compassion.

The Holy One welcomed sinners with grace.

The Shepherd left the ninety-nine to find the one.

    That is true greatness.

    Not demanding to be served...

    But choosing to serve.

    Not seeking glory...

But giving glory to the Father.

    Not conquering through force...

    But conquering through love.

The cross did not diminish His greatness.

    It revealed it.

Only Jesus could turn an instrument of execution into the greatest symbol of hope.

Only Jesus could transform death into everlasting life.

Only Jesus could offer forgiveness while enduring unimaginable suffering.

More than two thousand years have passed, yet His name is still spoken in every corner of the world.

    Empires have risen and fallen.

    Cultures have changed.

    Generations have come and gone.

    But Jesus remains the same.

    His love still heals.

    His grace still restores.

His truth still sets people free.

    His presence still brings peace.

And His invitation is still open to everyone:

    **"Come to Me."**

There has never been a teacher like Him.

    Never a King like Him.

    Never a Savior like Him.

    Never a love like His.

    There never will be.

**Jesus Christ is not great because the world says He is.**

**He is great because He is the eternal Son of God—the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the Lamb who was slain, and the risen King who reigns forever.**

*"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." — Hebrews 13:8*

  • Maranatha.
    The Highest Kind of Meditation.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God. 1 John 3:1.

What love, what matchless love, that, sinners and aliens as we are, we may be brought back to God and adopted into His family! We may address Him by the endearing name, “Our Father.” ...

All the paternal love which has come down from generation to generation through the channel of human hearts, all the springs of tenderness which have opened in the souls of men, are but as a tiny rill to the boundless ocean when compared with the infinite, exhaustless love of God. Tongue cannot utter it; pen cannot portray it. You may meditate upon it every day of your life; you may search the Scriptures diligently in order to understand it; you may summon every power and capability that God has given you, in the endeavor to comprehend the love and compassion of the heavenly Father; and yet there is an infinity beyond. You may study that love for ages; yet you can never fully comprehend the length and the breadth, the depth and the height, of the love of God in giving His Son to die for the world. Eternity itself can never fully reveal it. Yet as we study the Bible and meditate upon the life of Christ and the plan of redemption, these great themes will open to our understanding more and more.17Testimonies for the Church 5:739, 740.

Christ came to reveal God to the world as a God of love, full of mercy, tenderness, and compassion.18Testimonies for the Church 5:738, 739.

It would be well to spend a thoughtful hour each day reviewing the life of Christ from the manger to Calvary. We should take it point by point and let the imagination vividly grasp each scene, especially the closing ones of His earthly life. By thus contemplating His teachings and sufferings, and the infinite sacrifice made by Him for the redemption of the race, we may strengthen our faith, quicken our love, and become more deeply imbued with the spirit which sustained our Saviour. If we would be saved at last we must all learn the lesson of penitence and faith at the foot of the cross.... Everything noble and generous in man will respond to the contemplation of Christ upon the cross.19Testimonies for the Church 4:374.

    #LA_VIE_DE_DAVID Ep.05

  • # A Love That Never Gives Up

There are people who will love you when life is easy.

They will celebrate you when you succeed.

They will stand beside you while everything is going well.

    But when you fail...

    Some will leave.

    Some will forget.

    Some will judge.

That is the way of human love.

    But Jesus loves differently.

He loved Peter after his denial.

He welcomed Thomas despite his doubts.

He forgave those who nailed Him to the cross.

He embraced sinners that everyone else rejected.

His love has never been based on your perfection.

It has always been rooted in His compassion.

When you feel too broken to pray...

    Jesus still listens.

When shame tells you to hide...

    Jesus gently calls you closer.

When you think you've gone too far...

    His mercy reaches even farther.

The cross is God's answer to every question about His love.

If God had wanted to prove His power, He could have shaken the earth.

If He had wanted to prove His authority, He could have summoned countless angels.

But He wanted to prove His love.

So He gave His only Son.

Love was born in a humble manger.

    Love walked among the hurting.

    Love touched the forgotten.

    Love carried the cross.

    Love forgave.

    Love died.

    And on the third day...

    Love rose again.

That is why no failure can erase God's love.

    No tear is unseen.

    No prayer is unheard.

No heart is beyond His reach.

Jesus does not love you because you are flawless.

He loves you because **He is faithful**.

Even when your faith grows weak...

    His love remains strong.

    Even when you wander...

    His love keeps searching.

    Even when your heart breaks...

His love gently holds every shattered piece.

One day, everything in this world will fade.

    Riches will disappear.

    Fame will be forgotten.

    Beauty will pass.

But one thing will remain forever:

    **The love of Jesus Christ.**

It is a love that found us when we were lost.

A love that forgives without keeping score.

A love that heals what no one else can heal.

A love that carries us when we have no strength left.

And a love that will never, ever let us go.

**Nothing can separate you from the love of Christ—not your past, not your fears, not your failures, and not even death itself.**

    Rest in that love today.

For it is the safest place your soul will ever know.

  • The Eternal Word Who Became Flesh

Let me take you back before Bethlehem. Before the manger. Before the shepherds and the star. The Apostle John, when he sat down to write his Gospel, did not start with a birth. He started before time itself, in the eternal existence of God.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made." (John 1:1–3)

There are three things I want you to see here, and I want you to see them clearly.

First, the Word already existed before anything was made. "In the beginning was the Word" does not mean the Word came into being at the beginning. It means when the beginning started, He was already standing there. He has no starting point. He is eternal.

Second, the Word was with God. This tells you there was relationship, there was distinction. He was not alone in eternity. There was fellowship, communion, a personal relationship within the Godhead long before a single star was hung in place.

Third, and this is where I want you to stop and let it sink in, the Word was God. Not a god. Not a created being. Not an angel or a spirit sent from God. Fully God. The very God who spoke the heavens into existence. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The God who met Moses in the burning bush. That God.

Then John gets to verse fourteen, and he drops the announcement that changes everything.

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14)

Sit with that for a moment. The Word became flesh. The eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing God stepped down out of glory and took on a human body in the womb of a young virgin named Mary. He was not created in that moment. He had always existed. He simply chose, out of love, to step into human experience. He added humanity to His deity without ever laying His deity aside.

And the men who walked with Him, who ate with Him, who watched Him sleep in a boat during a storm, they beheld His glory. They did not imagine it. They did not hear about it secondhand.

John himself stood there and saw it. He saw what no human eye had ever been permitted to see before: God, wrapped in flesh, walking among the very creation His own hands had made.
The Eternal Word Who Became Flesh Let me take you back before Bethlehem. Before the manger. Before the shepherds and the star. The Apostle John, when he sat down to write his Gospel, did not start with a birth. He started before time itself, in the eternal existence of God. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made." (John 1:1–3) There are three things I want you to see here, and I want you to see them clearly.
