Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you. My apologies for no post yesterday; Saturday took more out of me than I thought (doing two events), then my event yesterday … I was a tad tired. Just a smidge. My brain really was not braining. At the end of the day, I carefully plopped my tired and sore body into a very nice and steamy bath, and then I slept like a baby. Today I am rested and refreshed. So, we will see what kind of mischief the littles and I get into today. I think it is room-cleaning day to prepare for the workers who will repair it. Typically, sales at these events are not high on my list, but planting seeds. Yesterday I was so tired, mostly from the heat, that I did not feel like I had done that. However, as we were tearing down, I spoke to the booth behind me, and she asked for my business card because she had heard me discuss my books and she wanted to look them up. Until that moment, I had considered my day a colossal failure and a waste of time. My attitude … well, it could have been better. Then into the evening I considered it a waste of time, except for the few friends that I met; however, this morning … now that I have rested and my brain is braining again … not a waste of time if you can plant one seed. I did. This weekend for me was a great example of how the world sees things and how God sees them. The world sees that only booth money was made and no one was interested. God sees it as hidden opportunities. The world planted a seed that it was a waste; God showed me that it was far from it. One seed planted is always better than none. Through the day yesterday, I know that I showed fun and laughter to those around me, that I showed love for them without issue; displays of humor in the midst of the humid, cranky weather are always good seeds … then to have others hear about the material you write and want to read … add to that … potential new venues in the future. Yesterday was a success; I just needed to sleep, and my eyes were opened to His works. Many times our efforts do not show immediately to our own sight because we are wanting one thing and when that does not happen, then the enemy steps in and tells us that we are wasting our time. He makes it quite convincing too. Last night I could have made some very life-changing decisions; however, the Holy Spirit told me to go to bed … I did not argue. I was tired. Today, I have an understanding of His plan. Today, between household chores, I will lay out what I believe He is telling me and pray over it. I want to make sure that it is Him that I am listening to and not me. Do you have some decisions to make? Will they or could they be life-altering? Are you on the fence because they are so life-changing and you do not want to make a mistake? Write them out. Chronological or whimsical … either way works … then pray over that list. Sincerely ask the Father to guide you. He is not a genie; the answer may not come right away, but a peace will … if you genuinely give the list to Him to decide. After the peace arrives, then you can focus on the day’s issues and await His answer. You may be in the middle of a meeting or washing dishes or even going to the bathroom when He answers, but if you listen … He will answer … in His time. Take today to make your list of thoughts, pray over them, and then enjoy the knowledge that the Father will answer you when He is ready for you to have the answer. It is so much easier on the brain when you do this, and when the answer comes, it will be clear.
