MESSAGE Years ago, a highly influential man in an Islamic nation, where church planting was prohibited, invited one of our missionaries to establish a church within his compound. When the church started, his wife said to him, "With your position in government and your influence in this nation, you allowed a church be established in your compound?" He looked at his wife and said, "Don't you dare say a word against these people!" I believe that it was easy for the RCCG to plant a church in that nation, and indeed many nations in the world today, because of God's covenant with its founder, Pa Josiah Akindayomi. One of the gains of being in a covenant with God is that you will keep getting greater results than your peers as long as you keep fulfilling your part of the covenant. God will keep giving you results that are beyond your efforts. What other people struggle to get will come to you easily because of His covenant with you. In Exodus 19:5, God said, "If you will keep my covenant, I will make you a peculiar treasure." This means that people will take a look at you and wonder why God loves you so much. Several times, when I wake up at night and reflect on all the good things God is doing in RCCG, I usually say, "Lord, how can you love us this much?" Some people might claim that it is because we fast and pray, but believe me, some people fast more than we do. I recall vividly that when I became the General Overseer, I had some of my friends join me in a 36-hour non-stop prayer session. We thought this was a remarkable feat until we heard of a man who prayed non-stop for so much longer! I may not have spent as many hours in prayer at a stretch as that person, yet what God has done for RCCG is unprecedented and truly remarkable. Indeed, there are immense gains in being in a covenant with the Almighty God. Another gain of being in a covenant with God is protection. When a king took Abraham's wife, God intervened by appearing in the king's dream. He went the extra mile to protect her and instructed the king to ask Abraham to pray for him, as we see in today's Bible reading. Beloved, there are immeasurable blessings that flow from being in covenant with God. KEY POINT Being in a covenant with God gives you access to tremendous benefits and makes difficult things easy. ONE THING NECESSARY LUKE 10:42 (WEYMOUTH) 42 and yet only one thing is really necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion and she shall not be deprived of it." This is the word of Jesus. Someone who knows more than we do -- and loves us more than we love ourselves. So, we need to listen and take heed. (After all, we should realize that Jesus did not say things for His own benefit, but to help us.) It is easy to get busy in life and let ourselves be distracted from what we know is important. That was the case with Martha, the sister of Mary, in the scripture quoted from above. Martha knew she needed to hear what Jesus had to say -- but she also knew that she was responsible for preparing something to eat. What could she do? We all face such problems -- which are actually choices. WE choose what our priorities are. WE decide what we will spend our time and energy on. And we should choose wisely. (Here's a tip: if it won't be important one hundred years from now, it's not that important now, either.) In this situation, Jesus brought a calming -- not a condemning -- word to Martha. (Jesus is still not interested in condemning people, but in helping them.) In effect, Jesus said to not worry, but to put hearing what God has to say first, and then somehow things will work out with God's help. Jesus is saying the same message to you, today. The most important and productive way we can spend time is in getting God's wisdom, guidance, and help. Hearing and heeding His Word will pay rich dividends in this time, as well as for eternity. Never forget that God can do more for you in one minute, than you could accomplish in a lifetime by yourself. Don't make the wrong choices. SAY THIS: I will listen to God's Word. Bible Text: “For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.” — Hebrews 13:14 There is something very peculiar about this world that calls for a sober mood of reflection before God, and should leave every mortal conscience awakened unto God, to live before Him in utmost awe and reverence: Every day, a child must lose a mother or father. Every day, a wife must lose a husband, every day, a husband must lose a wife, every day, a parent must lose a child. A sister must lose a brother, and a brother must lose a sister. A relation must lose a relation. A family must lose a family member. A friend must lose a friend. Colleagues must lose a colleague in an organization, and so on and so forth. And this happens daily, all over the world and throughout the human race, yet many see it simply as a way of life or say, “Life happens.” Yet every day, a child is born into the world, and every day, a human being leaves this world. This is a mystery. And someone will still say there is no God? The mystery behind it is incomprehensible to man. This tells us that the world is temporal. People live and leave. They come and go. But God is man's final Destination. The question is: Where? Heaven or Hell—eternity has a destination. Make the wise choice. Make God your Eternal Destination, and let your final home be with Him in Heaven. God's Loving Heart.

✝️ TO THE CHRISTIAN WHO IS READY TO QUIT Please don't scroll past this. This may be for you. This is for the Christian who is tired of pretending. The one who still believes Jesus is Lord, yet secretly wonders, “Why is my heart so cold?” The one who has prayed thousands of prayers and feels like heaven has been silent. The one who reads the Bible but struggles to feel anything. The one who battles temptation, grief, anxiety, disappointment, or loneliness and thinks, “Maybe I'm just a terrible Christian.” If that's you… You are not alone. And more importantly: Jesus has not abandoned you. “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 Notice that Scripture does not say God is only near to the joyful or the victorious. He is especially near to the brokenhearted. Even God's greatest servants wanted to quit Sometimes we imagine that real Christians never struggle. The Bible tells a very different story. David cried until his tears became his food. “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God.” — Psalm 42:11 Elijah called down fire from heaven, yet afterward he became so discouraged that he asked God to let him die (1 Kings 19). God didn't rebuke him first—He gave him rest, food, and His gentle presence. Jeremiah was called the weeping prophet. Paul admitted he was under such great pressure that he despaired of life itself. The strongest believers are not those who never struggle. They are the ones who keep returning to Christ. Maybe you're exhausted from trying to be “good enough” Many Christians live as though God's love depends on today's performance. We fail. We feel ashamed. We hide. We try harder. We fail again. But listen to the invitation of Jesus: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 Jesus did not say: Come when you've fixed yourself. He said: Come while you're weary. That changes everything. God is not asking you to carry yourself Some of you are carrying burdens you were never meant to carry. The grief of losing someone you love. Financial pressure. Health problems. Depression. Spiritual dryness. Regret over past sins. Fear about the future. Hear the Word of God: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7 Not some of it. All of it. Every fear. Every question. Every sleepless night. Every tear you've cried when nobody else knew. When you feel like God is far away Feelings can be powerful. But they are not always truthful. God's promise is greater than our emotions. “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” — Hebrews 13:5 You may not feel His presence. You may not understand His timing. But His promise has not changed. He is faithful even when our feelings rise and fall. Your failures do not have the final word Perhaps you've fallen into the same sin again. Perhaps you've made promises to God that you've broken. Perhaps you're ashamed. Listen carefully. Satan says, “Hide from God.” Jesus says, “Come to Me.” “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9 The cross is not permission to continue in sin. The cross is proof that forgiveness is available for the repentant heart. There is mercy for those who return. Don't confuse a difficult season with a defeated life Winter is not the end of the tree. Night is not the end of the day. Friday was not the end of Jesus. Resurrection came. Your story is still being written by God. “Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” — Psalm 30:5 Morning does come. Sometimes slowly. But it comes. When your faith feels like a tiny ember Maybe you used to burn with passion. Now you barely have enough strength to whisper a prayer. Take hope from this beautiful promise: “A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out.” — Isaiah 42:3 Jesus specializes in restoring smoldering hearts. He does not crush weak believers. He restores them. If today is all you have… Then don't worry about surviving the next ten years. Walk with Jesus today. If you can't run… Walk. If you can't walk… Stand. If you can't stand… Kneel. If all you can pray is one sentence, let it be: “Jesus, hold on to me because I'm struggling to hold on to You.” That prayer is precious to God. God's grace is greater than your weakness Paul pleaded for his hardship to be removed. God answered him with these words: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 Notice this: God did not say, “Your strength is enough.” He said, “My grace is enough.” Your weakness is not the end of God's work. It is often where His power becomes most visible. Hold tightly to these promises “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:22–23 “Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.” — Isaiah 40:31 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you… Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” — John 14:27 “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 1:6 God finishes what He starts. I can totally relate to those who are hurting, angry, frustrated towards God Especially after losing someone precious to death, despite you prayed your heart out and yet if feels like your prayers fell on deaf ears up there! I really was ready to walk away from God myself last year. But after much soul searching. No matter what. I just can't live without Father Jehovah God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit! Plus I don't want the Devil the Satisfaction of quitting on God. I have permanently decided to stick with God & Jesus Christ no matter what happens in my life. This may be for you. This is for the Christian who is tired of pretending. The one who still believes Jesus is Lord, yet secretly wonders, “Why is my heart so cold?” The one who has prayed thousands of prayers and feels like heaven has been silent. The one who reads the Bible but struggles to feel anything. The one who battles temptation, grief, anxiety, disappointment, or loneliness and thinks, “Maybe I'm just a terrible Christian.” If that's you… You are not alone. And more importantly: Jesus has not abandoned you. “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 Notice that Scripture does not say God is only near to the joyful or the victorious. He is especially near to the brokenhearted. Even God's greatest servants wanted to quit Sometimes we imagine that real Christians never struggle. The Bible tells a very different story. David cried until his tears became his food. “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God.” — Psalm 42:11 Elijah called down fire from heaven, yet afterward he became so discouraged that he asked God to let him die (1 Kings 19). God didn't rebuke him first—He gave him rest, food, and His gentle presence. Jeremiah was called the weeping prophet. Paul admitted he was under such great pressure that he despaired of life itself. The strongest believers are not those who never struggle. They are the ones who keep returning to Christ. Maybe you're exhausted from trying to be “good enough” Many Christians live as though God's love depends on today's performance. We fail. We feel ashamed. We hide. We try harder. We fail again. But listen to the invitation of Jesus: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 Jesus did not say: Come when you've fixed yourself. He said: Come while you're weary. That changes everything. God is not asking you to carry yourself Some of you are carrying burdens you were never meant to carry. The grief of losing someone you love. Financial pressure. Health problems. Depression. Spiritual dryness. Regret over past sins. Fear about the future. Hear the Word of God: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7 Not some of it. All of it. Every fear. Every question. Every sleepless night. Every tear you've cried when nobody else knew. When you feel like God is far away Feelings can be powerful. But they are not always truthful. God's promise is greater than our emotions. “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” — Hebrews 13:5 You may not feel His presence. You may not understand His timing. But His promise has not changed. He is faithful even when our feelings rise and fall. Your failures do not have the final word Perhaps you've fallen into the same sin again. Perhaps you've made promises to God that you've broken. Perhaps you're ashamed. Listen carefully. Satan says, “Hide from God.” Jesus says, “Come to Me.” “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9 The cross is not permission to continue in sin. The cross is proof that forgiveness is available for the repentant heart. There is mercy for those who return. Don't confuse a difficult season with a defeated life Winter is not the end of the tree. Night is not the end of the day. Friday was not the end of Jesus. Resurrection came. Your story is still being written by God. “Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” — Psalm 30:5 Morning does come. Sometimes slowly. But it comes. When your faith feels like a tiny ember Maybe you used to burn with passion. Now you barely have enough strength to whisper a prayer. Take hope from this beautiful promise: “A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out.” — Isaiah 42:3 Jesus specializes in restoring smoldering hearts. He does not crush weak believers. He restores them. If today is all you have… Then don't worry about surviving the next ten years. Walk with Jesus today. If you can't run… Walk. If you can't walk… Stand. If you can't stand… Kneel. If all you can pray is one sentence, let it be: “Jesus, hold on to me because I'm struggling to hold on to You.” That prayer is precious to God. God's grace is greater than your weakness Paul pleaded for his hardship to be removed. God answered him with these words: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 Notice this: God did not say, “Your strength is enough.” He said, “My grace is enough.” Your weakness is not the end of God's work. It is often where His power becomes most visible. Hold tightly to these promises “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:22–23 “Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.” — Isaiah 40:31 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you… Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” — John 14:27 “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 1:6 God finishes what He starts. He has not given up on you. 🙏 A Prayer for Every Weary Christian Heavenly Father, I pray for every brother and sister in Christ who is reading this with tears in their eyes. Some are exhausted.
