    The Game Changer

What is that one thing that you feel desperate to change in your family?

What is that one thing that you would want to change for your generations to come?

What would you do if you got that opportunity?

Ruth was a Moabite widow with a background of belonging to a cult tribe and with a pain of loss and loneliness. But her one decision changed the course for her future generations. She was no longer a Moabite and became part of the lineage of King David. (Ruth 1:16, 4: 14-17)

Esther, an entrapped, orphan teenage Jewish girl in the harem of a king, who found favour and became queen. She had a decisive moment that changed the destiny of Jewish people who otherwise were doomed to genocide.
    (Esther 4:14-16)

Rahab, a harlot in Jericho with rejection as her only status, took one God-given opportunity to save her clan. She decided to rescue the Israelite spies, knowing God’s favour was upon them. That decision led to her leaving prostitution. She gave birth to a son, Boaz, who was later in the lineage of King David. (Joshua 2:8-9, 12-13)

These women didn’t come with extraordinary physical strength or remarkable skills. Their faith was the courage they wore and risked their own lives to save others.

Your one decision can change the whole course for your generations and communities.
Something very deep that instills courage, no matter what, and gives you the boldness to do something that may look risky and would need extraordinary courage.
You don’t need to have a soldier’s training, the strength of Wonder Woman, or extraterrestrial powers to operate.

You need a divine decision that can give you a jump start.

The crux of the story is that you can be the next Ruth and Rahab who can change the lineage for generations to come. You can be the next Esther who can seize the opportunity to nail the oppressor and save communities.

    The question is:
Are you settling for comfort, or would you rise with courage?
Are you staying captive or are you setting captives free?
Are you going to stay a victim, or are you going to raise an army of rescuers?

You can be the next Ruth, Rahab, or Esther. You can be the game changer. You can be the one who pivots the course. You can be the next one in your family or community who can change the course for generations for freedom and victory.

Maybe it’s time to stop numbing that inner voice and start figuring out your divine assignment.

Some might still be captive because of one decision you would need to make.
