An Urgent Wake Up Call: Why Christian Parents Must Start Apologetics at Home Now
Christian parents do not have the luxury of waiting to see whether their teens’ faith survives college; practical apologetics at home must begin long before that season ever arrives. The pressures that will challenge what young people believe are already present in middle school and high school, shaping how they think about God, morality, sexuality,

  • Kids Bible Stories . . . Today we are talking about Do what God says. Many people—kids, teens, and adults—hear God’s Word every day, and that’s amazing. But hearing God’s Word isn’t the same as doing what it says. Today we’re learning that obeying God means living in a way that points to Him in everything we say and do. Lots of people can talk about doing the right thing, but real obedience shows up in how we live. God wants us to follow His Word with our actions, not just our words. Let’s learn how to obey Him every day.
Takeaway: Kids hear God’s Word all the time, but today’s focus is obeying it with our actions.

  • Teen Bible Adventures . . . Today we’re digging into something real: Doing What God Says, not just hearing it. Teens hear God’s Word all the time—at church, online, in devotionals, from parents, from friends. And that’s great. But Jesus makes it clear: hearing God’s Word doesn’t change your life unless you actually live it out.
God calls us to live in a way that points to Him—not just with our words, but with our actions. So today, we’re going to look at what it really means to obey God daily, even when it’s hard, even when no one else is doing it, and even when it costs something.

  • Justin Bieber’s story is one of incredible talent meeting overwhelming fame at a young age — and ultimately finding lasting hope and identity in Jesus Christ. Over the years, the pop superstar has openly shared how his Christian faith has carried him through the highs and lows of his career, personal battles, and public scrutiny. Here’s a deeper look at his testimony, drawn from his own words, interviews, and reflections.
Bieber didn’t come to faith in a vacuum. His mother, Pattie Mallette, raised him with a strong Christian foundation. She dedicated his life at church in Ontario, took him on mission trips, and brought him to revival meetings like the Toronto Blessing. As a child, he memorized Bible verses for gold stars as rewards. This planted seeds that would later bloom during his darkest seasons.
Even as “Baby” catapulted him to global superstardom as a teenager, Bieber has said he always believed in Jesus on some level — but it wasn’t yet a deeply personal, transformative walk.
By his late teens and early 20s, the pressures of fame took a heavy toll. Bieber has been candid about spiraling into heavy drug use, anxiety, resentment, disrespect toward others, and feeling empty despite massive success. He went from being one of the most adored people in the world to one of the most ridiculed and judged. In interviews, he’s admitted it got so dark that he wasn’t sure he’d be alive without God’s intervention.
Around 2014, at rock bottom, Bieber connected more deeply with Christian leaders like Pastor Judah Smith and Hillsong NYC’s Carl Lentz. One pivotal night, he broke down sobbing in Lentz’s apartment, saying he wanted to know Jesus and start fresh. They prayed together. Bieber then asked to be baptized — immediately.
To avoid paparazzi, they ended up at NBA player Tyson Chandler’s apartment. Chandler, a friend, offered his large custom bathtub (built for his 7-foot frame). In the middle of the night, surrounded by a small group, Bieber was baptized as an outward sign of his inward commitment. Lentz and others described it as a powerful moment of genuine surrender and new beginnings. Bieber has called this part of Jesus meeting him in his “dirt” and pulling him out.
He later reflected: “I asked God, ‘If you’re real, I need you to show me.’ ... He showed me that I was worth saving, that I was worth dying on the cross for... That is what changed my heart.”
Bieber’s faith hasn’t been a one-time event but an ongoing source of healing and strength. He has repeatedly credited Jesus with restoring his identity beyond being a “product” of the music industry. In heartfelt 2025 Instagram posts ahead of Christmas, he wrote openly about the industry: “I grew up in a system that rewarded my gift but didn’t always protect my soul. There were moments I felt used, rushed, shaped into something I didn’t fully choose.”
He acknowledged carrying anger and questioning God but emphasized: “Jesus keeps meeting me in the middle of the pain — not excusing what hurt me but teaching me how not to become bitter... I’m not speaking as someone still broken. I’m speaking as someone Jesus has already healed.”
“What happened to me was real. But it doesn’t get the final word. Jesus didn’t just help me cope — He restored my identity. I’m not a product. I’m not what the industry demanded. I’m a son.”
Faith has helped him navigate public scandals, health issues (including Ramsay Hunt syndrome in 2022, which caused facial paralysis and led to tour cancellations), and the emotional weight of constant scrutiny. He has leaned on prayer, trusted that God is with him “in the midst of the storm,” and found comfort in his marriage to Hailey Bieber. The couple renewed their commitment through baptism together in 2020 with Pastor Judah Smith, calling it one of the most special moments of their lives.
Bieber has spoken about shifting from trying to earn God’s love through performance to receiving grace as a free gift. “I believed in Jesus, but I never really implemented it into my life... God has already loved me for who I am before I did anything to earn and deserve it.” He aims to live with obedience not out of fear but out of love, and he wants to use his platform to share hope.
Pastors close to him, like Judah Smith, have praised his authenticity. Smith said he’s learned more about Jesus from Bieber than he’s taught him, noting the unique pressures of global fame and Bieber’s willingness to be honest about weakness.
Bieber has shared worship moments publicly, such as singing “Reckless Love” and proclaiming God’s overwhelming love. He’s delivered simple Gospel messages that have impacted others — one notable story involves a flight attendant who encountered his straightforward explanation of Jesus and later gave her life to Christ in a powerful moment.
He continues to attend Churchome and speaks of Jesus as “the king of my heart,” “the wonderful Savior,” and the one who lived sinlessly, died on the cross, and rose again so we can live free. In livestreams and posts, he emphasizes forgiveness, humility, and the joy of knowing you’re loved unconditionally.

    ALL LONELY TOGETHER

In the beginning of creation, God created man in His own likeness and made him to have fellowship. Even after creating man, he found man to be lonely and noticed the need for a companion. So, He created the woman and put the two together.

As we see, the idea has always been having someone, and having fellowship, and NEVER TO BE ALONE.
Companionship, or fellowship, is the innate need of every creature, and more so for humans.

Isolation was never the design; loneliness was never in the draft.
We are made to have friends, families, and communities.

But lately we are seeing a reverse picture. There is so much population, yet everyone is lonely. There are people everywhere- workplaces, schools, gyms, and festivals- but everyone is alone in the crowd.

People are worn out from carrying life alone. Lately, one of the biggest challenges that people are facing is finding like-minded life partners. Friendships are not meaningful anymore. Children feel left alone. Teens find comfort in screens. Adults are burnt-out with pressure.

Loneliness has become a greater global crisis than any other pandemic.

Simply put, there is no one to talk to. It is hard to find anyone who would listen.

 “As long as Moses held up his arms, the Israelites won, but when he put his arms down, the Amalekites started winning. When Moses' arms grew tired, Aaron and Hur brought a stone for him to sit on, while they stood beside him and held up his arms, holding them steady until the sun went down. In this way Joshua totally defeated the Amalekites.” (Exodus 17: 11-13)
This incident is simply a display of the need and the power of a support system.

Moses was keeping his arms up, and he did so for a long time. But eventually, he got tired. What did that lead to?
    Defeat of the whole army.
This is how humans are falling apart in the present times. Carrying the weight of life, the pressures, challenges, struggles, emotions, and pains ALL ALONE.
    What happens next?
 Aaron and Hur brought a stone for him to sit on.

    What did they just do?
They comforted him in his physical tiredness. He didn’t have to leave the battlefield and hence his responsibilities.

And how do we see this in our lives?
People get exhausted and don’t find any support or comfort. They either want to leave and run away or just suffer burnout.
What did Aaron and Hur do next?
     They stood beside Moses.
Sometimes, even the presence of another person works like a miracle.
Imagine a wife working alone in the kitchen. It’s not the work that wears her down. It’s the feeling of doing it alone that catches up.
Now, consider the husband, or any other family member, standing next to her while she works. Observe the change in the atmosphere. We all can choose to stand with others in their routines, as friends to talk and laugh with, as comforters in the tough times, and as supporters in their needful hours.
 What Aaron and Hur did next was marvellous. They took Moses’ arms and held them for him, and they kept them steady till the sun went down.

This was the ultimate. In other words, they not only offered and reached out with comfort, help, and support, but did it till the end of the battle.
Such an awesome anecdote: a whole community won, a whole army won because of a simple gesture by two men reaching out to one weary man.
    Where did it all start?
THEY SAW the army being defeated, and THEY NOTICED the one who was carrying it to victory. And that he was tired.
How many times do we see someone falling apart around us, in our families, in our friend circle, in our schools, and workplaces?
Can we not do something to help them?
A simple gesture of kindness, a hand of help, a word of prayer, and a moment of presence act like honey to a fainting person.
IT ALL STARTS WITH SOMEONE WHO MIGHT BE CARRYING IT ALL. ALONE.
And this is what is leading to the fall of communities in the present times.
We are already sitting with a major mental health crisis in the world. All because nobody talks to each other, no one bothers to be there for another, and no one is ready to carry each other’s burdens.

We have become so self-focused that we can't look beyond ourselves.
AND IT IS NOT ONLY THE LOSS OF OTHERS. We are all at a loss, too.
Every single person is a unit in a community. And a community needs every unit to function.
Imagine what it would look like if people had meaningful connections. Everyone would be helping others. Everyone would know they have some arms to carry them if they fall. Imagine children, teens, and adolescents knowing they can run back home when they feel vulnerable rather than taking refuge in addictions and self-sabotaging activities.

"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6: 2)

Wouldn’t that be a nice world to live in?
Your presence matters to someone. Be there. Be together. BE VICTORIOUS.

  • From Hatred and Violence to Radical Redemption: The Powerful Testimony of Nicky Cruz
In the shadows of Brooklyn’s mean streets in the 1950s, one name struck fear into the hearts of many: Nicky Cruz. A ruthless gang leader fueled by unimaginable pain, rage, and hate. Today, he is a global evangelist whose life stands as undeniable proof that no one is beyond the reach of God’s transforming love.
Born on December 6, 1938, in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, Nicky’s early life was a nightmare of darkness. His parents were deeply immersed in witchcraft and Santeria—his mother a witch, his father a satanic priest. From the age of just 3½, Nicky endured brutal physical and emotional abuse. Beatings were routine. Demonic influences filled the home. He witnessed his mother possessed, and horrors that no child should ever see.
At age 9, the breaking point came. In a moment of severe abuse, his own mother disowned him, telling him he was not her son and to get out of her life. Devastated and feeling utterly worthless, young Nicky attempted suicide. His heart turned to stone. “I died when I was 9 years old,” he later shared. “She killed me. She put a big hole in me.” He vowed never to love again. Never to cry again. From that day forward, he armored himself in hatred.
At 15, his father exiled him to New York City to live with an older brother. But the streets of Brooklyn soon became his new jungle. Full of pent-up rage, Nicky joined the notorious Mau Maus—one of the most feared and violent gangs in the city. By 16, he rose to become its president (or warlord). Violence, drugs, crime, and bloodshed defined his days. He described himself as an “animal” surviving by the law of the jungle: kill or be killed. “You can get high on sex. You can get high on alcohol... I was high on hate and violence.”
Arrested countless times, a court-ordered psychiatrist declared him hopeless—destined for prison, the electric chair, and hell. No one could reach him. Until a skinny country preacher from Pennsylvania stepped into the chaos.
David Wilkerson called by God after seeing a photo in Life magazine of teens on trial for murder, Wilkerson left his comfortable church to minister in the ghettos. He faced danger head-on, preaching Jesus’ love in gang territory. When he first approached Nicky, the young warlord was filled with contempt. Nicky slapped him, spat on him, threatened his life: “If you say another word, you’re a dead man.”
But Wilkerson didn’t back down. With relentless, unconditional love, he told Nicky, “You could cut me into a thousand pieces and throw them in the street, and every piece would still cry out that Jesus loves you.” This kind of love was completely foreign to Nicky. No one had ever loved him like that.
Weeks later, Wilkerson held a crusade at St. Nicholas Arena, targeting the gangs. Nicky and his crew showed up planning to disrupt it. But as the message of the cross pierced the air—Jesus dying for sinners, offering forgiveness and a new heart—something broke inside Nicky. Overwhelmed by guilt and conviction, he surrendered. He fell to his knees, weeping uncontrollably in front of his gang members. For the first time since childhood, the tears flowed.
Nicky describes the moment vividly: It was like entering a “Holy Ghost hospital.” Jesus reached into his chest, took out his stone-cold heart, kissed it with divine love, and placed a new one back in. He was born again—a brand new creation. The hate that consumed him was replaced by unspeakable joy and peace.
That night, Nicky traded his switchblade for a Bible. He left the gang life behind. He went on to attend Bible college, got married, and began preaching the Gospel. Many of his former gang members came to Christ through his testimony. He even led his own parents to the Lord. For decades, through Nicky Cruz Outreach, he has traveled the world sharing the hope of Jesus, especially reaching at-risk youth, addicts, and the broken. His story is immortalized in David Wilkerson’s bestselling book The Cross and the Switchblade and the 1970 film starring Erik Estrada as Nicky.
Nicky often says: “The only thing that can change a man is the love of God.” His life proves it. From a boy who “died” at 9 to a man who found resurrection life in Christ. From a violent gang leader high on hate to an evangelist proclaiming freedom in Jesus.
If you feel hopeless today—trapped in addiction, anger, past trauma, or sin—Nicky’s story is for you. No pit is too deep for God’s mercy. Jesus specializes in impossible transformations. As Nicky experienced, He can take a heart of stone and make it new.
“I threw myself on the mercy of Jesus, and He healed my heart and my mind.” — Nicky Cruz
Jesus is still in the business of changing lives. Surrender to Him today—He loves you more than you can imagine.

I was high on hate and violence.” Arrested countless times, a court-ordered psychiatrist declared him hopeless—destined for prison, the electric chair, and hell. Nicky slapped him, spat on him, threatened his life: “If you say another word, you’re a dead man.” But Wilkerson didn’t back down. 🙏 “I threw myself on the mercy of Jesus, and He healed my heart and my mind.” — Nicky Cruz Jesus is still in the business of changing lives. Surrender to Him today—He loves you more than you can imagine. 🔥 #ChristianTestimony #NickyCruz #Redemption #Gospel #Faith #Transformation #TheCrossAndTheSwitchblade
