• Your testimony matters.

But sharing boldly does not mean sharing everything with everyone.

    There is wisdom in knowing:

    • What you are ready to share
    • What still needs prayer and healing
    • What belongs in a private conversation
    • What details should remain protected
    • When God is leading you to speak
    • When He may be asking you to wait

I wanted to create something that honors both the power of testimony and the importance of discernment.

You will see why very soon.

  • THE POWER TO FORGIVE.
In 1947, Corrie Ten Boom was traveling and speaking across Germany, sharing the message of God’s love and forgiveness that had sustained her through Ravensbrück concentration camp, where her beloved sister Betsie had died.
After one service in a Munich church, a balding man in a gray overcoat stepped forward to greet her. Corrie’s blood ran cold. She instantly recognized him: he had been a vicious guard at Ravensbrück—one who had stood by during the degrading processing where women prisoners were stripped naked and mocked.
Memories flooded back—the harsh lights, the piles of clothing, the cruelty, the loss of her sister. Her heart froze as he extended his hand.
He said something like: “A fine message, Fraulein! How good it is to know that, as you say, all our sins are at the bottom of the sea!” Then he continued: “You mentioned Ravensbrück in your talk. I was a guard there. But since that time, I have become a Christian. I know that God has forgiven me for the cruel things I did there, but I would like to hear it from your lips as well… Will you forgive me?”
Corrie stood there, wrestling internally. She had preached forgiveness countless times. But now? Facing the man responsible for so much pain? She felt she couldn’t do it. Betsie’s slow, terrible death couldn’t simply be erased with a handshake.
In that moment, she remembered the truth she had lived by: Forgiveness is not an emotion—it is an act of the will. And she prayed desperately:
“Jesus, help me! I can lift my hand. I can do that much. You supply the feeling.”
    She thrust out her hand.
“And as I did, an incredible thing took place. The current started in my shoulder, raced down my arm, sprang into our joined hands. And then this healing warmth seemed to flood my whole being, bringing tears to my eyes.
‘I forgive you, brother!’ I cried. ‘With all my heart.’”
For a long moment, they grasped each other’s hands—the former guard and the former prisoner. Corrie later wrote that she had never known God’s love so intensely. It wasn’t her love. She had tried and failed in her own power. It was the power of the Holy Spirit.
This encounter wasn’t just a personal victory. It became a living sermon on what Corrie often taught: “Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the door of resentment and the handcuffs of hatred.” She spent the rest of her life (traveling to over 60 countries as a “tramp for the Lord”) telling people that no pit is so deep that God’s love is not deeper still.
Even in the darkest places—like the concentration camp barracks where fleas kept guards away so she and Betsie could read the Bible aloud—Corrie experienced that God’s presence and promises were real. She and Betsie clung to the truth that “in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37).
When bitterness feels justified, will we choose to forgive anyway?
When we feel too weak, will we trust God to supply the strength?
In a world full of division and hurt, can we let the Holy Spirit do what we cannot?
Corrie’s words still echo: “There is an ocean of God’s love available—there is plenty for everyone. May God grant you never to doubt that victorious love—whatever the circumstances.”
If this story moves you, share it. Read The Hiding Place or Tramp for the Lord. And ask yourself: Who do I need to forgive today? Not in my strength—but in His.
“Jesus, help us to forgive as we have been forgiven.”

  • God Can Use Your Story (Mark 5:19)

Have you ever looked at your past and wondered how God could possibly use your story?

    Maybe you've made mistakes.

    Maybe you've experienced disappointment.

Maybe you've walked through seasons of pain, confusion, or failure.

But your story is not useless.

Jesus told a man whose life had been transformed:

“Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how He has had mercy on you.”

You don't need to have a perfect life to tell people about Jesus.

You simply need to share what He has done for you.

Your testimony can give hope to someone who feels hopeless.

Your journey can encourage someone who is struggling.

Your experience of God's grace can help someone understand that they are not beyond His reach.

Don't be ashamed of where God brought you from.

Your past may be part of the message God uses to reach someone else.

Tell people how Jesus gave you hope.

Tell them how He strengthened you.

Tell them how He forgave you.

Tell them how He changed the direction of your life.

You may not know every Bible verse.

You may not have all the answers.

    But you know your story.

And when you share it with humility and truth, God can use it to point people toward Christ.

Your testimony is not about making yourself the hero.

    Jesus is the hero.

Your story is simply evidence of His grace.

Today, ask God for an opportunity to tell someone what He has done in your life.

Someone may need to hear your story to believe that Jesus can change theirs.

Who can you share your testimony with today?

  • From Hatred and Violence to Radical Redemption: The Powerful Testimony of Nicky Cruz
In the shadows of Brooklyn’s mean streets in the 1950s, one name struck fear into the hearts of many: Nicky Cruz. A ruthless gang leader fueled by unimaginable pain, rage, and hate. Today, he is a global evangelist whose life stands as undeniable proof that no one is beyond the reach of God’s transforming love.
Born on December 6, 1938, in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, Nicky’s early life was a nightmare of darkness. His parents were deeply immersed in witchcraft and Santeria—his mother a witch, his father a satanic priest. From the age of just 3½, Nicky endured brutal physical and emotional abuse. Beatings were routine. Demonic influences filled the home. He witnessed his mother possessed, and horrors that no child should ever see.
At age 9, the breaking point came. In a moment of severe abuse, his own mother disowned him, telling him he was not her son and to get out of her life. Devastated and feeling utterly worthless, young Nicky attempted suicide. His heart turned to stone. “I died when I was 9 years old,” he later shared. “She killed me. She put a big hole in me.” He vowed never to love again. Never to cry again. From that day forward, he armored himself in hatred.
At 15, his father exiled him to New York City to live with an older brother. But the streets of Brooklyn soon became his new jungle. Full of pent-up rage, Nicky joined the notorious Mau Maus—one of the most feared and violent gangs in the city. By 16, he rose to become its president (or warlord). Violence, drugs, crime, and bloodshed defined his days. He described himself as an “animal” surviving by the law of the jungle: kill or be killed. “You can get high on sex. You can get high on alcohol... I was high on hate and violence.”
Arrested countless times, a court-ordered psychiatrist declared him hopeless—destined for prison, the electric chair, and hell. No one could reach him. Until a skinny country preacher from Pennsylvania stepped into the chaos.
David Wilkerson called by God after seeing a photo in Life magazine of teens on trial for murder, Wilkerson left his comfortable church to minister in the ghettos. He faced danger head-on, preaching Jesus’ love in gang territory. When he first approached Nicky, the young warlord was filled with contempt. Nicky slapped him, spat on him, threatened his life: “If you say another word, you’re a dead man.”
But Wilkerson didn’t back down. With relentless, unconditional love, he told Nicky, “You could cut me into a thousand pieces and throw them in the street, and every piece would still cry out that Jesus loves you.” This kind of love was completely foreign to Nicky. No one had ever loved him like that.
Weeks later, Wilkerson held a crusade at St. Nicholas Arena, targeting the gangs. Nicky and his crew showed up planning to disrupt it. But as the message of the cross pierced the air—Jesus dying for sinners, offering forgiveness and a new heart—something broke inside Nicky. Overwhelmed by guilt and conviction, he surrendered. He fell to his knees, weeping uncontrollably in front of his gang members. For the first time since childhood, the tears flowed.
Nicky describes the moment vividly: It was like entering a “Holy Ghost hospital.” Jesus reached into his chest, took out his stone-cold heart, kissed it with divine love, and placed a new one back in. He was born again—a brand new creation. The hate that consumed him was replaced by unspeakable joy and peace.
That night, Nicky traded his switchblade for a Bible. He left the gang life behind. He went on to attend Bible college, got married, and began preaching the Gospel. Many of his former gang members came to Christ through his testimony. He even led his own parents to the Lord. For decades, through Nicky Cruz Outreach, he has traveled the world sharing the hope of Jesus, especially reaching at-risk youth, addicts, and the broken. His story is immortalized in David Wilkerson’s bestselling book The Cross and the Switchblade and the 1970 film starring Erik Estrada as Nicky.
Nicky often says: “The only thing that can change a man is the love of God.” His life proves it. From a boy who “died” at 9 to a man who found resurrection life in Christ. From a violent gang leader high on hate to an evangelist proclaiming freedom in Jesus.
If you feel hopeless today—trapped in addiction, anger, past trauma, or sin—Nicky’s story is for you. No pit is too deep for God’s mercy. Jesus specializes in impossible transformations. As Nicky experienced, He can take a heart of stone and make it new.
“I threw myself on the mercy of Jesus, and He healed my heart and my mind.” — Nicky Cruz
Jesus is still in the business of changing lives. Surrender to Him today—He loves you more than you can imagine.

  • Word of Life — 16 June 2026
    Share Your Experience

Nobody is moved by a perfect speech.

    Think about it.

    When was the last time
    someone's polished presentation
changed the way you saw something
    permanently?

    But a real story —

a moment when someone sat across from you
    and said:

    "I went through something similar.
    Here is what happened.
    Here is what I found."

    That lands differently.

It goes somewhere a speech cannot go.

    Because it is real.

    And real things
    reach real people.

    Chiara Lubich, whose wisdom
    shapes today's Word of Life,
    understood this deeply.

    She wrote:

    "Besides proclaiming the Gospel
    with our lives,
we also have to announce it
    with our words.

    We should speak out,
    using every means
and every opportunity available to us.

    We need to speak
    above all
    by sharing our experiences.

    By speaking,
we will strengthen our own faith
    and the faith of those
    who listen to us."

    That last line matters.

When you share your experience —
you are not just helping someone else.

    You are strengthening yourself.

    Something happens to faith
    when it is spoken aloud.

    It becomes more solid.
    More real.
    More your own.

You realise what you actually believe
when you try to put it into words.

    And the person listening —

they are not hearing a doctrine.
    They are hearing a person.

    Someone who struggled.
    Someone who doubted.
    Someone who found something
    worth holding on to.

    And honest stories
have a way of spreading hope
    that arguments never can.

    One person's experience
    becomes another person's
    reason to keep going.

A story shared at the right moment —

    even a small one —

    can become the exact note
    someone else needed to hear.

    Today —
    you have a story.

    Not a perfect one.
    Not a polished one.

    But a real one.

    And someone, somewhere,
    is waiting for exactly that.

    "Come and hear,
    all you who fear God,
    and I will tell
what He has done for my soul."
    — Psalm 66:16

    "They overcame him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony."
    — Revelation 12:11

    "We declare to you
what we have seen and heard,
    so that you also
    may have fellowship with us."
    — 1 John 1:3

    Prayer

    Lord, teach us to speak
    with honesty and humility.

Help us to share the experiences
    that encouraged us,
    challenged us,
and drew us closer to You —

    so that others may receive
    the same hope through us.

    Give us courage
    to open our mouths —

    knowing that Your Spirit
    will carry the words
    where they need to go.

    Amen.

    Live the Word

    Today —
    share one experience of faith
    with someone.

    Not a lecture.
    Not a perfect testimony.

    Just something real
    that happened to you —
and what God did in it.

    That is enough.

✨ Word of Life — 16 June 2026 Share Your Experience Nobody is moved by a perfect speech. Think about it. When was the last time someone's polished presentation changed the way you saw something permanently? But a real story — a moment when someone sat across from you and said: "I went through something similar. Here is what happened. Here is what I found." That lands differently. It goes somewhere a speech cannot go. Because it is real. And real things reach real people. Chiara Lubich, whose wisdom shapes today's Word of Life, understood this deeply. She wrote: "Besides proclaiming the Gospel with our lives, we also have to announce it with our words. We should speak out, using every means and every opportunity available to us. We need to speak above all by sharing our experiences. By speaking, we will strengthen our own faith and the faith of those who listen to us." That last line matters. When you share your experience — you are not just helping someone else. You are strengthening yourself. Something happens to faith when it is spoken aloud. It becomes more solid. More real. More your own. You realise what you actually believe when you try to put it into words. And the person listening — they are not hearing a doctrine. They are hearing a person. Someone who struggled. Someone who doubted. Someone who found something worth holding on to. And honest stories have a way of spreading hope that arguments never can. One person's experience becomes another person's reason to keep going. A story shared at the right moment — even a small one — can become the exact note someone else needed to hear. Today — you have a story. Not a perfect one. Not a polished one. But a real one. And someone, somewhere, is waiting for exactly that. 📖 "Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what He has done for my soul." — Psalm 66:16 📖 "They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." — Revelation 12:11 📖 "We declare to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us." — 1 John 1:3 🙏 Prayer Lord, teach us to speak with honesty and humility. Help us to share the experiences that encouraged us, challenged us, and drew us closer to You — so that others may receive the same hope through us. Give us courage to open our mouths — knowing that Your Spirit will carry the words where they need to go. Amen. 💬 Live the Word Today — share one experience of faith with someone. Not a lecture. Not a perfect testimony. Just something real that happened to you — and what God did in it. That is enough. #WordOfLife #ShareYourExperience #ChristianTestimony #RiseWithTheWord
