UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST

The church is one body with many members, called from every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. In Christ we are a new creation; distinctions of race, culture, learning, and nationality, and differences between high and low, rich and poor, male and female, must not be divisive among us. We are all equal in Christ, who by one Spirit has bonded us into one fellowship with Him and with one another; we are to serve and be served without partiality or reservation. Through the revelation of Jesus Christ in the Scriptures we share the same faith and hope, and reach out in one witness to all. This unity has its source in the oneness of the triune God, who has adopted us as His children.

  • Blessed Evening. I just want to know your thoughts in the trinity. Some says this doctrine is not in the bible. Some believe in oneness. Share your thoughts about this and explain. Here is my stand I believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. One God in three distinct person.

  • ‘I rise today’, it begins, ‘in the power’s strength, invoking the Trinity, believing in threeness, confessing the oneness, of creation’s Creator …’ I rise today with the power of God to pilot me, God’s strength to sustain me, God’s wisdom to guide me, God’s eye to look ahead for me, God’s ear to hear me, God’s word to speak for me, God’s hand to protect me, God’s way to defend me, God’s host to deliver me from snares of devils, from evil temptations, from nature’s failings, from all who wish to harm me, far or near, alone and in a crowd …
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me; Christ within me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me; Christ in my lying, Christ in my sitting, Christ in my rising; Christ in the heart of all who think of me, Christ on the tongue of all who speak to me, Christ in the eye of all who see me, Christ in the ear of all who hear me … May your salvation, Lord, be with us always. - SAINT PATRICK OF IRELAND

  • WHY GOD LOVES ONENESS?

God is love. Yahweh is love. That is why He wants us to become one, to be united, to be equal, to be compassionate toward one another, to be kind to one another, and to lay down our lives for others.
But why does God desire unity? Because unity reflects who He is. God is not divided. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit live in perfect love, harmony, and oneness. Love always brings together; it does not divide.
From the very beginning, God's plan has been to make many become one. He created husband and wife to become one flesh. Through Jesus Christ, He gathers people from every nation into one body, the Church. Though we are many members, we are one in Christ.
God's purpose is not to erase our uniqueness but to unite us in love. Just as the many parts of one body work together, we are called to live in unity while keeping the gifts and personalities God has given us.
Sin separates, but love restores. Pride divides, but humility unites. Hatred scatters, but God's love gathers. This is why Jesus prayed, "That they may all be one, just as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You" (John 17:21).
When we love God, love one another, and even learn to love ourselves as God loves us, we reflect His own heart. The God who is One desires His people to become one, so that the world may know Him through our love and our unity.

  • WALKING IN ONENESS WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
Learning to Hear His Voice, Follow His Leading, Surrender Completely, and Be Transformed by His Presence
“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever — the Spirit of truth.”
    — John 14:16-17

Introduction: The Forgotten Person of the Trinity
Many believers know about God the Father and Jesus the Son, but sometimes the Holy Spirit remains mysterious, misunderstood, or distant.

Yet Jesus made it clear that the Holy Spirit is not an optional part of the Christian life.

    The Holy Spirit is:

    Our Helper
    Our Comforter
    Our Teacher
    Our Guide
    Our Convicter of sin
    Our Source of spiritual power
The One who transforms us into the image of Christ
Jesus did not leave His followers alone.

Before ascending to heaven, He promised:

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me.”
    — Acts 1:8

The Christian life was never meant to be lived by human strength alone.

It is meant to be lived with the Holy Spirit leading us every step of the way.

    1. The Holy Spirit Is God Living Within Us
The Holy Spirit is not merely a feeling. He is not just an influence. He is not simply a spiritual force.

The Holy Spirit is the presence of God Himself.

    Jesus said:

“I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
    — John 14:18

After Jesus returned to the Father, He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell inside believers.

    The Apostle Paul wrote:

“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”
    — 1 Corinthians 3:16

    Think about this:

The same Spirit who moved upon the waters at creation…

The same Spirit who empowered the prophets…

The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead…

    Lives inside every true believer.

“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
    — Romans 8:11

    2. The Holy Spirit Leads the Children of God
One of the greatest privileges of being a believer is being guided by God's Spirit.

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”
    — Romans 8:14

The Holy Spirit guides us in:

    Our decisions
    Our relationships
    Our purpose
    Our spiritual growth
    Our battles against temptation
But the Holy Spirit does not force us.

    He leads gently.

    He speaks through:

    Scripture
    Prayer
    Godly wisdom
    Conviction
    Peace
    Spiritual understanding
    Jesus said:

“When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth.”
    — John 16:13

    3. Learning to Hear the Voice of the Holy Spirit
The world is filled with voices:

    The voice of fear
    The voice of temptation
    The voice of pride
The voice of our own desires
    The voice of the enemy
But the Holy Spirit speaks the truth of God.

    Jesus said:

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
    — John 10:27

To recognize His voice, we must spend time with Him.

A person who rarely prays will struggle to recognize God's direction.

But a person who seeks God daily becomes more sensitive to His leading.

    4. Surrendering Our Will to the Holy Spirit
The greatest battle is often not against the devil.

The greatest battle is surrendering our own will.

    Jesus prayed:

“Not My will, but Yours, be done.”
    — Luke 22:42

A Spirit-filled life begins when we place everything before God:

    Our plans
    Our dreams
    Our fears
    Our desires
    Our future
    Paul wrote:

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.”
    — Galatians 2:20

The Holy Spirit cannot fully lead a heart that refuses to surrender.

    5. Do Not Resist or Grieve the Holy Spirit
    The Bible warns us:

    “Do not quench the Spirit.”
    — 1 Thessalonians 5:19

    And:

“Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God.”
    — Ephesians 4:30

How do we grieve the Holy Spirit?

    When we:

    Ignore His conviction
    Hold onto unforgiveness
    Choose sin over obedience
    Harden our hearts
    Refuse God's correction
The Holy Spirit is patient, but He desires a close relationship with us.

    6. Being Filled Again and Again With the Holy Spirit
Being filled with the Spirit is not only a one-time experience.

    Paul wrote:

    “Be filled with the Spirit.”
    — Ephesians 5:18

This means continually allowing God to fill, refresh, and strengthen us.

    Every day we can pray:

“Holy Spirit, fill me again. Guide me again. Change me again.”

We need His presence every moment.

    7. The Fruit of a Spirit-Led Life
A person truly led by the Holy Spirit becomes more like Jesus.

The evidence is not only spiritual experiences — it is transformed character.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”
    — Galatians 5:22-23

The Holy Spirit produces what human effort cannot create.

He changes us from the inside out.

    8. Becoming One With the Holy Spirit
To become one with the Holy Spirit means allowing God to influence every part of our being:

Our thoughts. Our words. Our choices. Our emotions. Our actions.

    Jesus prayed:

“That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us.”
    — John 17:21

God desires intimacy, not just religious activity.

    He wants relationship.

A Deep Prayer of Surrender and Oneness With the Holy Spirit
    Heavenly Father,

I come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ.

Today I surrender myself completely into Your hands.

Lord Jesus, I thank You for sending the Holy Spirit, the Helper, the Comforter, and the Spirit of truth.

Holy Spirit, I welcome Your presence into every area of my life.

Take control of my thoughts. Take control of my emotions. Take control of my words. Take control of my decisions. Take control of my desires.

I surrender my will to Your will.

Where I have been stubborn, soften my heart.

Where I have been fearful, give me faith.

Where I have been confused, give me wisdom.

Where I have been weak, give me strength.

Holy Spirit, teach me to recognize Your voice above every other voice.

When the enemy speaks lies, remind me of God's truth.

When temptation comes, give me power to overcome.

When I feel alone, remind me that You are with me.

Lord, remove anything in my life that prevents me from walking closely with You.

Remove pride. Remove bitterness. Remove unforgiveness. Remove distractions. Remove anything that separates me from Your presence.

Holy Spirit, fill me until my life overflows with Your love.

    Make me more like Jesus.

Give me the heart of Jesus. The compassion of Jesus. The humility of Jesus. The obedience of Jesus.

Let my home be filled with Your presence.

    Let my words bring encouragement.

Let my life become a testimony of Your grace.

I do not want to merely know about You.

    I want to know You.

I do not want to simply talk about Your presence.

I want to live in Your presence.

Holy Spirit, lead me every day until the day I see Jesus face to face.

    I declare:

    I belong to Jesus Christ.
I am a temple of the Holy Spirit.
I am led by the Spirit of God.
I surrender completely to Your will.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — have all of me.

In the mighty and wonderful name of Jesus Christ,

    Amen.

“Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.”
    — Romans 8:14

The deepest place a believer can ever live is not merely knowing about God — but walking daily in fellowship with the Holy Spirit who lives within them.

WALKING IN ONENESS WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT Learning to Hear His Voice, Follow His Leading, Surrender Completely, and Be Transformed by His Presence “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever — the Spirit of truth.” — John 14:16-17 Introduction: The Forgotten Person of the Trinity Many believers know about God the Father and Jesus the Son, but sometimes the Holy Spirit remains mysterious, misunderstood, or distant. Yet Jesus made it clear that the Holy Spirit is not an optional part of the Christian life. The Holy Spirit is: Our Helper Our Comforter Our Teacher Our Guide Our Convicter of sin Our Source of spiritual power The One who transforms us into the image of Christ Jesus did not leave His followers alone. Before ascending to heaven, He promised: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me.” — Acts 1:8 The Christian life was never meant to be lived by human strength alone. It is meant to be lived with the Holy Spirit leading us every step of the way. 1. The Holy Spirit Is God Living Within Us The Holy Spirit is not merely a feeling. He is not just an influence. He is not simply a spiritual force. The Holy Spirit is the presence of God Himself. Jesus said: “I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.” — John 14:18 After Jesus returned to the Father, He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell inside believers. The Apostle Paul wrote: “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” — 1 Corinthians 3:16 Think about this: The same Spirit who moved upon the waters at creation… The same Spirit who empowered the prophets… The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead… Lives inside every true believer. “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” — Romans 8:11 2. The Holy Spirit Leads the Children of God One of the greatest privileges of being a believer is being guided by God's Spirit. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” — Romans 8:14 The Holy Spirit guides us in: Our decisions Our relationships Our purpose Our spiritual growth Our battles against temptation But the Holy Spirit does not force us. He leads gently. He speaks through: Scripture Prayer Godly wisdom Conviction Peace Spiritual understanding Jesus said: “When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth.” — John 16:13 3. Learning to Hear the Voice of the Holy Spirit The world is filled with voices: The voice of fear The voice of temptation The voice of pride The voice of our own desires The voice of the enemy But the Holy Spirit speaks the truth of God. Jesus said: “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” — John 10:27 To recognize His voice, we must spend time with Him. A person who rarely prays will struggle to recognize God's direction. But a person who seeks God daily becomes more sensitive to His leading. 4. Surrendering Our Will to the Holy Spirit The greatest battle is often not against the devil. The greatest battle is surrendering our own will. Jesus prayed: “Not My will, but Yours, be done.” — Luke 22:42 A Spirit-filled life begins when we place everything before God: Our plans Our dreams Our fears Our desires Our future Paul wrote: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” — Galatians 2:20 The Holy Spirit cannot fully lead a heart that refuses to surrender. 5. Do Not Resist or Grieve the Holy Spirit The Bible warns us: “Do not quench the Spirit.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:19 And: “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God.” — Ephesians 4:30 How do we grieve the Holy Spirit? When we: Ignore His conviction Hold onto unforgiveness Choose sin over obedience Harden our hearts Refuse God's correction The Holy Spirit is patient, but He desires a close relationship with us. 6. Being Filled Again and Again With the Holy Spirit Being filled with the Spirit is not only a one-time experience. Paul wrote: “Be filled with the Spirit.” — Ephesians 5:18 This means continually allowing God to fill, refresh, and strengthen us. Every day we can pray: “Holy Spirit, fill me again. Guide me again. Change me again.” We need His presence every moment. 7. The Fruit of a Spirit-Led Life A person truly led by the Holy Spirit becomes more like Jesus. The evidence is not only spiritual experiences — it is transformed character. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” — Galatians 5:22-23 The Holy Spirit produces what human effort cannot create. One-Minute Sermon
"Many people seek success in positions, possessions, and opportunities, but God first works on the person. David was a shepherd before he became a king. Joseph was a prisoner before he became a ruler. God develops character before He releases influence. If you focus on becoming the person God wants you to be, success will become a natural fruit of your growth. Build your character, renew your mind, and remain faithful. The person you become determines the success you can sustain."

  • TAKING HOLD OF THE FUTURE

    From: Ron Hawks

"You are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for you to do…Ephesians 2:10.”

What are your plans for the future? Is there anything you want to accomplish or become? Is there anywhere you want to go or anything you want to do?

Have you given much thought to what God may have planned for you? He prophesied through Jeremiah that He knew the plans He had for the people of Israel. (Jeremiah 29:11) And He knows His plans for you too. For, "You are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for you to do." (Ephesians 2:10) He has things planned for your future.

The apostle Paul wrote near the end of his ministry that he was pressing on to take hold of that for which Christ had taken hold of him (Philippians 3:12). God wants us (like Paul) to lean and press into the purposes for which Christ has taken hold of our lives. We tend to imagine that Christ takes hold of us to accomplish His work, but God has more than work in store for us. He is primarily after relationship and wholeness. He saved us - He wants us to walk in whole-person salvation - not to run ahead in dysfunctional living and work.

So, we press deeper and deeper into our salvation. We take time to continually receive God's fresh and needed forgiveness and life each day. We make space to dwell with Him, to simply "be" still in His presence and allow His Word to soak deeply into our spirits and understanding (Psalm 1:2). This oneness with God, being loved and refreshed in perspective, informs our living and leads us into the purposes for which we are perfectly formed. We primarily press into a communion-life with God - a shared oneness life with Him. Secondarily, and relatedly, we press into the works for which He has built and fitted us - works that He has prepared in advance for us to do.

As you consider your future, please include thought to God's will. You will be most satisfied by His presence and purposes - these are the chief rewards of life. Make time for His transforming influences on your inner person - through prayer, the Bible, obedience and reflection.

    Pressing Ahead with you,

    Pastor Tom

God is a Rewarder. In Christ, our salvation is a gift, but our faithfulness also carries rewards.
    Hebrews says:
“He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”
Rewards are God’s response to faithful living, obedience, love, service, and stewardship. We do not serve God to be loved; we serve because we are already loved in Christ.
    Types of Rewards
Peace and joy in this life
    Growth, favor, and fruitfulness
    Souls transformed through our lives
    Eternal crowns and heavenly rewards
    What Brings Rewards?
    Faithfulness in little things
    Serving others in love
    Giving and helping people
    Winning souls
    Remaining steadfast in trials
    Living to reveal Christ
    Key Truth
The greatest reward is Christ Himself living through us. When we walk in Oneness with Christ, our lives become fruitful and eternally valuable.
    Short Sermon Thought
“Every seed of love, prayer, kindness, sacrifice, and service done in Christ is never wasted. Heaven records faithfulness, and God rewards openly what is done sincerely for His glory.”

Better life is sure in Christ. ProphetSam
