The Lord does not work with these, for He will not give to any human being the glory that belongs to His own name. If the human worker will walk in all humility of mind, looking to God, trusting in Him, working out his own salvation with fear and trembling, the Lord will cooperate with him. It is God that works in us to do His will for His own name’s glory. He will give His wisdom, His divine power, to everyone who is doing His service. He makes the humble trustful servant His representative—the one who will not lift himself up, and think of himself more highly than he ought to think. Nehemiah, after gaining so great an influence over the [Persian] monarch in whose court he lived, and over his people in Jerusalem, instead of ascribing praise to his own excellent traits of character, his remarkable aptness and energy, stated the manner just as it was. He declared that his success was due to the good hand of God that was upon him. He cherished the truth that God was his safeguard in every position of influence. For every trait of character by which he obtained favor, he praised the working power of God.... And God gave him wisdom, because he did not exalt himself. Every jot of influence is to be appreciated as the gift of God. The eye of the mind is to be single to the glory of God. Then the sense of responsibility will increase. Our talents will be put out to the exchangers to increase and double. God might not be mentioned in Esther 6–7, but His hand is written all over it.

From a king’s sleepless night to an unsung act of faithfulness finally being honored, every single detail was moving under His sovereign timing.

A few reminders for your week:
God overrules every roll of the dice. He works behind the scenes in ways we can’t see, making a way before we even know we need one.
Trust His timing. Nothing faithful you do is ever forgotten. Mordecai’s good deed seemed overlooked, but God brought it to light at the exact moment it mattered most.
Leave the vindication to Him. "Vengeance is mine, says the Lord." You don't have to fight battles He has already handled.

The breakthrough you’re praying for may already be in motion. Be true to Him—even when you can’t see Him working.

In short, the Bible unshakably demonstrates that a plurality of elders oversaw the activity of the early churches. No church in the first century had a single leader. Consequently, the commonly accepted notion of sola pastora (single pastor) is at odds with the New Testament. The Bible knows nothing of a person who stands at the helm of a local church, directs its affairs, preaches to it every Sunday, conducts its baptisms, represents it in the world, officiates its Communion (or Lord’s Supper), blesses civic events, marries the living, and buries the dead. No such person exists in the entire New Testament.

Hello, I would like to share with you the message from 23 août 2026 from “The Good Seed” daily calendar.

And they made His grave with the wicked – but with the rich at His death, because He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth. (Isaiah 53:9)

A worthy burial
People could not do with Jesus Christ as they pleased. When they crucified Him, they placed Him between two criminals. God allowed this. But then they appointed His grave with the wicked. God intervened and prevented this. He ensured that the Lord Jesus, in His death, was with a rich man.
The rich and respected councillor Joseph of Arimathea took Jesus’ body from the cross and wrapped it in fine linen. Then he placed Him in a new tomb hewn out of rock. With this appropriate burial, God honoured His faithful and obedient servant.
The prophet Isaiah gives two reasons why Christ was with a rich man in His death:
1. He had done no violence. This means that the Lord Jesus did not commit a single sin. God wants to show us that Christ was sinless. In Him, there is no sin (1 John 3:5). He knew no sin (2 Corinthians 5:21), and He did no sin (1 Peter 2:22). Therefore, He was buried fittingly after His death.
2. There was no deceit in His mouth. In everything that the Lord Jesus said, He was always truthful. This goes beyond merely not lying. His words were always transparent and direct. He never used language to deceive anyone or to say something He did not mean. He was also honoured with a dignified burial for this.

Confused Priorities Can Seriously Hinder Our Walk With Christ

Walking with Christ is a journey of intentional devotion, yet many believers find their spiritual progress stalled. The culprit is rarely overt rebellion; rather, it is the subtle, creeping danger of confused priorities. When worldly ambitions, anxieties, and fleeting pleasures crowd out the Lord, our spiritual vitality withers.
Jesus addressed this peril directly in the Parable of the Sower. In Luke 8:14, He describes the seed that falls among thorns: "The seeds that fell among thorns stand for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature." Notice that these individuals heard the Word, but their spiritual growth was choked out. Misplaced priorities—chasing wealth, stressing over daily survival, or living for entertainment—act like spiritual weeds. They consume our emotional and mental energy, leaving no room for a vibrant relationship with Christ.
When our focus is divided, our spiritual sight becomes completely blurred. Jesus warns in Matthew 6:24: "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." Financial security or worldly success easily masquerades as a master, dictating our time, decisions, and passions. When we attempt to split our allegiance between God and the world, spiritual paralysis sets in. We become lukewarm, drifting away from the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
Moreover, accommodating sin or holding onto competing loyalties fractures our intimacy with God. As James 4:4 sharply reminds us, "You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God." Friendship with the world here denotes adopting its value system. When we prioritize worldly acceptance over divine obedience, we actively hinder our communion with Christ.
Ultimately, confused priorities rob us of our spiritual fruitfulness and joy. To experience the abundant life Jesus promised, we must ruthlessly evaluate our schedules and hearts, cutting away the clutter. Realigning our lives with Christ restores our purpose, clearing the thorns so we can walk closely and powerfully with our Savior.

Personal Closing Prayer…

Lord, forgive me for the times I have allowed worldly worries, ambitions, and distractions to choke out my devotion to You. Open my eyes to see where my priorities have drifted away from Your kingdom. Cleanse my heart from a divided allegiance, and grant me the grace to reject the pull of this world. Realign my steps, Lord, so that I may walk closely, single-mindedly, and faithfully with Christ every single day. Amen.

This wasn't a moment of weakness. It was sustained pressure, day after day, that Joseph resisted every single time. When she confronts him directly, Joseph doesn't just refuse. He explains why. How could he do this great evil, and sin against God? Not fear of Potiphar. Not fear of punishment. A line he wouldn't cross, because of who he answered to. Then one day, alone in the house, she grabs his garment. Joseph doesn't argue. He runs, leaving the garment behind in her hands. That garment becomes the evidence used to falsely accuse him. Joseph loses his position, his reputation, and his freedom, for doing the right thing. Scripture doesn't rush to rescue him. He sits in prison, for the crime of running from sin. You Were Born to Win

Before you ever drew a breath — before you had a name, a face, or a single memory — you had already won.

The Power of Your Words

Proverbs 18:21 (AMP):
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.”

Our words carry more power than we often realize. A single sentence can encourage someone who feels broken, or it can wound a heart that was already hurting. Our words can speak life into a situation—or they can speak fear, defeat, and negativity.

God reminds us that what comes out of our mouths produces fruit. This means we should not speak carelessly. When we constantly say, “I can’t,” “Nothing will ever change,” or “I’m not good enough,” we can begin to live according to those declarations. But when we choose words that agree with God’s truth, our perspective begins to change.

This doesn't mean pretending that everything is perfect. It means that even in difficult circumstances, we choose to say, “God is with me. He is faithful. He will guide me. I may be facing a storm, but the storm does not have the final word.”

Before you speak today, ask yourself:
“What kind of fruit will these words produce?”

Let your words be instruments of healing, encouragement, faith, and love. Speak life over your family. Speak life over your future. Speak God's promises over your circumstances. And when you make a mistake, remember that you can always choose your next words differently.

Prayer
Father, help me to understand the power You have placed in my words. Teach me to speak with wisdom, grace, love, and faith. Guard my tongue when I am angry, hurt, or frustrated. Help me not to speak words of fear or defeat, but to declare Your truth over my life and the lives of those around me. May the words of my mouth bring encouragement, healing, and life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
