Talking to God doesn't have to be complicated. Simple, heartfelt prayers are all that's needed to get His attention. We can be tempted to make our prayers more elaborate, but God just wants us to be honest and open with Him. Let's not try to impress Him with our words, but instead focus on having a genuine conversation with Him.

As one man’s trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one man’s act of righteousness leads to acquittal and life for all men (Romans 5:18）

Humanity’s need for meaning, guidance, forgiveness, and moral strength are provided for in the Christian gospel, and nowhere else. Because of this, we should all make the gospel first in our thinking and doing. Paul saw this and wrote: Now I would remind you, brethren, in what terms I preached to you the gospel… For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 RSV).

How few, even of professing Christians, understand the words of Romans 5:10,18! These verses clearly state that the atonement of Christ restored the whole human race to favour with God. Christ is our peace, because he broke down the wall between God and humanity. By his own blood Christ signed the ransom papers for the race. And the Gospel is the glad word of that event.

Calvary is the “double cure” for sin. It takes away both sin’s guilt and its power. Looking at the Cross, the believer sees the holiness of God, and repents; sees the power of God, and believes; sees the love of God, and is born again.

The Creation of Adam is one of the most famous frescoes by Michelangelo, painted around 1511–1512 on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City.
The painting depicts the biblical moment when God gives life to Adam, the first man. Adam lies on the earth at the left, appearing relaxed and not yet fully energized. God approaches from the right, surrounded by angels and wrapped in a flowing cloak.
The most iconic part is their two hands reaching toward each other. God's index finger stretches toward Adam's, but their fingertips do not quite touch. That tiny gap creates tension and is often interpreted as representing the instant just before divine life or spiritual power passes from God to humanity.
Adam's body resembles God's in posture and form, which is often connected to Genesis 1:27—humanity being created "in the image of God."

Jesus Saved Me When I Had Lost Hope

There was a time in my life when I felt completely lost. I was struggling with depression, without a job, and I could not see any purpose in my future. Every day felt heavier than the day before. I smiled in front of people, but inside, I was fighting a battle that nobody could see.

There were moments when the pain became so overwhelming that I began to have thoughts of ending my life. I felt like there was no way forward and that my story was already over.

But Jesus met me in that darkness.

When I felt forgotten, I began to understand that God had not forgotten me. When I thought my life had no value, Jesus reminded me that my life belonged to Him. I started praying, sometimes without even knowing what words to say. I simply cried before God and asked Him to help me.

Little by little, something began to change within me.

My circumstances did not suddenly become perfect. I still had struggles. I still had questions about my future. But I was no longer facing them alone. Jesus gave me hope when I had none, strength when I felt weak, and a reason to keep living when I wanted to give up.

The life I once wanted to end became the life I now want to use for Him.

Today, I preach about Jesus because I know what His hope means to someone sitting in darkness. I know there may be another person somewhere who feels the way I once felt—alone, depressed, unemployed, afraid of the future, and wondering whether life is worth continuing.

To that person, I want to say: your darkest chapter does not have to be the last chapter of your story.

I am standing today not because my journey has been easy, but because Jesus carried me through the days when I could barely carry myself.

I once wondered whether my life had a purpose.

Now I want my life to point people toward Christ.

Jesus gave me hope when I had lost hope. He gave me a reason to live. And as long as I have a voice, I want to use it to tell others about the One who met me in my darkest place.

My story did not end in the darkness. Jesus gave me a new beginning.
