For the natural man, the value he places on his gifts often hinges on the framework of fame. A person's gifts may only be measured as valuable to the degree to which he is famous or wealthy-- and although there is some truth to the value fame can bestow on gifts, how sustainable is it? By sustainability, I refer to kingdom values. What worth should be attributed to the gift of wisdom if it is devoid of kingdom values? Or to the gifts of singing, acting, dancing, and more?
Sadly, there are many gifted people who measure their value in terms of public recognition and live each day unfulfilled until, perhaps, fame comes knocking. Today, I came across a passage which says, "Are you wiser than Daniel? Is no secret hidden from you?" Here, in speaking of the gift of wisdom, the Scripture attributes its potency to kingdom values. I imagine that, with matters of wisdom, we should perhaps first refer to Solomon, given how widely known he was for his demonstration of wisdom. But what is the value of the gift if it does not eventually lead us to You?
If we were to measure singers by the impact their gifts have produced, our list might look very different from the lists fame has given us. The idea isn't necessarily to make comparisons, but to demonstrate that fame isn't necessarily the ultimate revealer of worthy impact. If I could proffer a scale for measurement, I would first think of You and the many ways we can become creatively impactful through our gifts.
I desire to be known, not just for my gifts, but for the contribution they bring to Your kingdom's program.

Nothing tends more to promote health of body and of soul than does a spirit of gratitude and praise. It is a positive duty to resist melancholy, discontented thoughts and feelings,—as much a duty as it is to pray. If we are heaven-bound, how can we go as a band of mourners, groaning and complaining all along the way to our Father’s house?

Gratitude lifts the eyes above the problem. Praise is pathway to spiritual and emotional strength. And a joyful spirit becomes evidence that we are walking in the light of God's kindness.

We are not told how much time went by between the serpent’s conversation with Eve about the forbidden fruit and her eventual eating of it. The Scripture moves from the serpent saying, “Ye shall not surely die,” to saying, “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat...” It is almost as though she ate the fruit immediately after her conversation with the serpent, but perhaps this is not how the story unfolds.
What if there was a process of meditation after that conversation? Or perhaps one where, each time she walked around the garden and saw the fruit, she remembered the conversation. Perhaps, daily, her conviction concerning Your instruction weakened, while her desire for the fruit was strengthened. Because it was not a fair argument where words combat words, but a statement requiring performance while initiating contact with a seed in her. The serpent is cunning, not often intending that sin should befall us instantly, but strategically planting seeds and patiently watching them grow.
Unlike the popular belief where rising seems planned while falling seems instantaneous; falling, too, is often premeditated. In instances where doubt has lingered a little too long in our hearts, and we entertain questions without appropriate responses, which eventually lead to weakened convictions. Because daily, all we see is the fruit, with just about the right seed of desire in us for compromise. And in situations where words are meant to combat words, I hope not to be found without.

If you truly knew Jesus, they would love Jesus.
John encountered a religious nation. They were people who said, “We are children of God! We are children of Abraham!” But John did not look only at what they said; he looked at the fruit of their lives. And then he declared:
“You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.”
They had religion, but they had no repentance. They had words, but they had no fruit. They claimed to know God, but their lives did not demonstrate the fear of the Lord.
And today, unfortunately, we also find a church that has gone astray, a church that, in many places, has lost the fear of God.
We find young people trapped in sin, people living in sexual immorality, leaders and ministers involved in practices that contradict the Word of God. We find corruption, hypocrisy, lies, greed, adultery, prostitution, witchcraft, and many other practices that should have no place among those who call themselves followers of Christ.
The problem is that corruption has become normal.
It is like water that people drink. People have become accustomed to sin. They are no longer ashamed. They no longer weep over sin. They no longer humble themselves before God.
But where is the fear of the Lord?
Where is holiness?
Where is repentance?
The Word of God says:
“There is none righteous, no, not one.”
Many are walking along, saying that they are going to heaven, but they do not know the truth. They confess Jesus with their lips, but they deny Him through their actions.
Because if they truly belonged to Christ, they would love Christ.
And whoever loves Jesus desires to obey Jesus.
Whoever loves Jesus seeks holiness.
Whoever fears God runs away from sin.
Whoever knows the Word of God does not play with sin; they turn away from evil and seek to live in obedience.
Jesus said:
“If you love me, keep my commandments.”
Therefore, it is not enough to say, “I am a Christian.”
It is not enough to sing gospel songs.
It is not enough to raise your hands.
It is not enough to attend church.
It is not enough to say, “Lord, Lord.”
You must be born again. You must repent. You must abandon sin. You must return to God.
The church was not called to imitate the world. The church was called to be a light in the midst of darkness.
We cannot live a life of sin during the week and then, on Sunday, raise our hands saying that we love Jesus.
Those who belong to Christ must demonstrate Christ through their lives.
Church, it is time to wake up!
It is time for brokenness!
It is time for repentance!
It is time for sanctification!
It is time to return to the Word of God!
Because the Lord is calling His people back.
“Be holy, because I am holy.”
May God deliver us from a religion without transformation, from a church without holiness, and from a faith without obedience.
May the Lord give us a broken and contrite heart, a heart that fears God and a life that glorifies the name of Jesus Christ.
If you love Jesus, obey His Word.
If you belong to Jesus, abandon sin.
If you know Jesus, live in holiness.
To Him be all the honor, all the glory, and all the praise.

Paul declares in 🕮 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟑:𝟏𝟒, “𝘐 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘻𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴.” Paul had not arrived. He refused to live on yesterday's victories or be paralyzed by yesterday's failures. He pressed forward. The Christian life is not lived by looking constantly behind us, but by fixing our hearts on Christ and faithfully pursuing the path He has set before us.
A runner who keeps looking back will lose pace, lose focus, and may lose the race. The finish demands forward eyes. So it is with us: we cannot live imprisoned by yesterday’s failures or satisfied with yesterday’s victories. God’s call still stands before us, and Christ is still worthy of our next faithful step.
Scripture calls us to keep moving forward: “𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦” (𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟑:𝟏𝟑). We are exhorted to “𝘳𝘶𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘦𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘶𝘴” (𝐇𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝟏𝟐:𝟏) and to “𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨” (𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟔:𝟗). The Christian life is not lived in a backward glance. We cannot change yesterday, but by God's grace, we can remain faithful today.
Do not run like a distracted athlete, watching the crowd while the finish line stands ahead. The enemy will use regret to make us quit and comfort to make us coast. But “𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘐 𝘥𝘰,” Paul said (𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟑:𝟏𝟑). Don't let one hard chapter make us close the whole book. We may have fallen, but by grace we rise. We may be tired, but by faith we can still press on.
Before Paul could press toward the mark, Christ had already completed the work of redemption. On the cross, Jesus cried, “𝘐𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥” (𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏𝟗:𝟑𝟎). He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures (𝟏 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟓:𝟑–𝟒). We do not press on to earn salvation—we press on because the One who saved us is worthy of our faithful obedience.
So what has made us want to stop? What disappointment, delay, failure, or weariness has convinced us that we cannot continue? We don't need Christ merely to help us reach our goals—we need Him because He is the prize worth pressing toward. Don't stop because it is hard. Don't turn back because it is slow. Don't quit because you are weary. Press on. Christ is still ahead.
𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Heavenly Father, forgive us for allowing past failures, present distractions, or comfortable places to slow our pursuit of You. Thank You that Christ has taken hold of us by grace. Strengthen us to press toward Your calling with faithful, forward-looking hearts. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

STOP PREACHING WHAT YOU REFUSE TO PRACTICE!
Some churches that loudly preach holiness, righteousness, and the love of Christ are failing to demonstrate that same love in their daily lives.
You preach love your neighbour, but practice selfishness.
You preach holiness, but harbour pride, hatred, jealousy, bitterness, wickedness, and self-centredness.
Is this the Christianity Jesus Christ taught us?
Jesus Christ did not say people would know us merely because we attend church, speak in tongues, preach powerful sermons, or call ourselves “holy.”
He said:
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:35
So where is the love?
Where is the compassion?
Where is the forgiveness?
Where is the sacrifice?
Where is the genuine concern for our brothers and sisters?
The Bible says:
“Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2
If we truly belong to Christ, the character of Christ must be visible in us.
The Bible says:
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 1 John 2:6
You cannot claim to have a genuine relationship with Jesus while deliberately living contrary to His character.
Jesus is love. Jesus is compassionate. Jesus forgives. Jesus serves. Jesus cares for people.
So if we claim to follow Him, those qualities should increasingly be seen in our lives.
WHAT IS HYPOCRISY?
Hypocrisy is preaching one thing while deliberately living the opposite.
Jesus Himself confronted religious leaders who looked righteous outwardly but were corrupt inwardly.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Matthew 23:27
And He said:
Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Matthew 23:28
That warning is still relevant today.
It is possible to have a microphone in our hands and still have hatred in our hearts.
It is possible to preach holiness and yet mistreat people.
It is possible to quote Scripture and still refuse to practice Scripture.
It is possible to look spiritual before people while being far from the heart of Christ.
God is not impressed by our appearance. He examines the heart.
For the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7
Some content creators, even demonstrating what genuine love, kindness, generosity, and concern for others should look like. Meanwhile, believers are watching without putting the love of Christ into practice. What a pity.
If someone who does not even preach holiness can demonstrate compassion, while a person who claims to represent Christ cannot show love, what testimony are we giving to the world?
The Bible says:
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar.” 1 John 4:20
This is not a message against the Church.
It is a call for the Church to return to Christ.
Let us stop measuring Christianity only by outward appearance.
Let us stop using the name of Jesus while refusing to follow the teachings of Jesus.
Let us stop asking, How holy do I look? and start asking, How much of Jesus can people see in me?
Heaven indeed will be full of surprises.
Jesus warned:
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 7:21
And Scripture tells us:
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James 1:22
Don't just preach love show love.
Don't just preach holiness live holy.
Don't just preach Christ reflect Christ.
Don't just tell people about Jesus let people encounter the character of Jesus through your life.
May God deliver us from religious hypocrisy and give us hearts that genuinely reflect Jesus Christ.
The world needs to see Jesus Christ in us.

In a world full of people, how can You ask such a question? I came across a passage in Isaiah which says, “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” At first, I wondered why You would ask this, but I understood it better. First, these two questions were not necessarily repeated in different ways to lay emphasis; rather, they give insight into two different areas: availability and willingness. “Who is available to go, and who is willing to actually go?”
For instance, an employer, in an attempt to engage capable hands, may first struggle with his options. His decision may be affected by factors such as the skills available, his ability not only to afford them but also his willingness to pay, and their desire to accept such roles. But You have no such limitations, which is why I wondered why, with billions of people in the world at Your call and varying talents at Your disposal, You could use anyone yet You still asked, “Whom shall I send?”
Perhaps You have experienced what it means to look through billions and scarcely find one. Because although the multitude may increase Your chances, it does not equate to availability, and availability differs from willingness. Isaiah responds to both questions, saying, “Here am I; send me,” signifying both his availability and his willingness to go. So the search continues for one who is not just available but willing to pay the price for what it means to be sent.
Today, I pondered not my availability but my willingness. And sincerely, Father, I may be as bold as Isaiah to say, “Send me,” but in reality, the effort I put into being sent pales in comparison to the level of my availability.
