  • For whatsoever things were written afore- time were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

    Romans 15:4

Many times, people come to church not knowing what the other person has been through that day. Many people come to church with hopeless and discouraging situations hanging over their heads.

As the Word of God comes to them, discouragement and hopelessness are driven away. Like chaff before a strong wind, discouragement and desperation are forced to fly away. The preaching of the Word, brings good news and hope which keeps a man alive.

I once read about an experiment in which a mouse was put into a bucket of water in a dark room. There was absolutely no light in this room, and after about three minutes the mouse died.

A mouse of similar weight and size was put in the same bucket of water and in the same room. This time, a little glimmer of light was allowed to seep through. This mouse kept swimming for about three days before it finally drowned. What was the difference between the two mice?

The thin ray of light, which the second mouse saw, gave it so much hope which kept the mouse swimming. This is a wonderful story that illustrates how hope can keep a man alive until his miracle comes.

“...that your faith and hope might be in God” (1 Peter 1:21).

We hardly talk about hope, but without hope there can be no faith. Faith is the assurance of the things you are hoping for. As people receive hope through preaching, faith is built up.

    Blessings..

  • Your soul is your most precious possession.

There is no amount of money, success, or achievement that can be exchanged for it. Not a million. Not a billion. Your soul can be lost—and it can never be replaced.
This is why soul winning is urgent.

This is why we preach. Because eternity is real, and your soul matters forever.

    ‭‭1Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

May you not depart from the original calling that God has given you and may you live a long and blessed life spent serving God faithfully!

  • Seven Signs that You Are Married to Christ

    1. You are married to Christ when you feel a lot of love for the Lord. You must feel a lot of love for Jesus. You must feel a lot of love for the Father. You must feel a lot of love for the Holy Spirit.
    2. You are married to Christ when your relationship with the Lord exists to the exclusion of all others. Marriage is a relationship that exists to the exclusion of all others. The powerful presence of any other person will surely interfere with the love relationship between you and the Lord. Christians who are obsessed with having good family lives and are excessively concerned with claims that marriage and children are more important than serving God, are usually unable to achieve a strong marriage relationship with the Lord. You can develop a relationship with the Lord to the exclusion of all others.
    3. You are married to Christ when there is a lifelong commitment. When you are married to the Lord, there is no question about leaving Him. There is no uncertainty about how long and how far the relationship will go. Marriage relationships are forever.
    4. You are married to Christ when there is a lot of conversation between you and the Lord. Continuous talking and chatting is the hallmark of every good marital relationship. When Christians fall in love with God, there is continuous talking and chatting with Him. There will be prayer and more prayer. There will be intercession. There will be giving of thanks. There will be supplications. There will be praises. There will be worship. These kinds of conversations will go on endlessly because there is great love for the Lord.
    5. You are married to Christ when you delight in Him and you are excited to be with him. You must desire the Lord and be excited to be with Him and to see Him.
    6. You are married to Christ when you are in His presence most of the time. Married couples are together most of the time, in theory. Staying in the presence of someone is a sign that you are married to the person. If you are a visitor, you have to leave after a couple of hours.
    7. You are married to Christ when your relationship with the Lord brings forth fruits. Married couples bring forth fruit. They have children. Your strong relationship with the Lord will cause fruits to come forth. It is only a deep marital relationship with the Lord that results in much fruit with Jesus.

  • Jehovah Shammah: God Whose Presence Can be Felt

It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, THE LORD IS THERE (JEHOVAH
    SHAMMAH). Ezekiel 48:35
Jehovah Shammah is the God whose presence can be felt. Jehovah
Shammah means, “The Lord is there!” “The Lord is present!”It is possible
to grow in the faith and experience the presence of God in a real way. You
can become someone who knows when God is there.
There are many ways in which you can know God. You can get to know
God as your healer (Jehovah Rophe). You can also get to know God as
your financier, your provider (Jehovah Jireh) or even your shepherd
(Jehovah Ra-ah). Indeed, you can also get to know God as someone who is present and whose presence can be felt (Jehovah Shammah).
There are ministers who know God as Jehovah Jireh. They are sure that He
is a provider and they are able to relate with God as someone who gives them money and provisions. Some pastors do not know how to relate with God as Jehovah Jireh. They know Him as a conservative and moral God. But they do not know the aspect of God that has to do with provision.
There are other ministers who know God as a healer but do not know Him
as a financial provider. Indeed, we all know different aspects of God to
    different extents.
You can know Jehovah Shammah, the Lord who is present in a real way. You can know the aura of God’s presence. You can feel His presence and you can be impressed with His presence. Few people enjoy His presence as they should! God is real! It is possible to grow in your ability to experience God. You can experience His presence in your room! You can experience His presence in your meetings! You can experience His presence at home.

  • The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; THAT THEY MAY TEACH the young women to be sober, TO
LOVE THEIR HUSBANDS, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Titus 2:3-5

Love can be taught! If you love the Lord, it is probably because you have learnt to love him. You can learn to love him more! Love can be learnt! Love can be taught! You can learn to love the Lord. God is invisible! No one can see God!
No one really knows how to love someone we cannot see. We are feeble and weak creatures. We do not even know how to love our fellow human beings. However, we can embark on a project to learn how
to love one another and also to learn how to love God.
Over the years, I have learnt how to love God. I have learnt how to relate with God whom I cannot see. There are scriptures that tell us exactly what to do if we want to love God. You can learn anything. Many things can be learnt. Spiritual things can be taught.
Even obedience can be learnt as a subject. “Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered” (Hebrews 5:8). Just as obedience can be learnt, love can also be learnt.
There is a notion that some things just come to us naturally. It seems as though you cannot learn how to love.
When people get married, they are taught how to love one another. A man who does not actively learn how to love his wife will not be a good husband. A woman who does not actively learn how to love her husband will fail in marriage.
It is important to believe that you have to actually learn how to love.

  • “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.” - Matthew 5:13 KJV

Salt purifies and protects against unseen threats. As the salt of the earth, we must confront the invisible enemies in our lives.

When Christians fail to do so, they lose their effectiveness and purpose. Acquire wisdom on how you can overcome your invisible adversaries and maintain your impact while on the earth as you swipe!

    Blessings..

  • SALVATION STORY..
Christ died to pay the way
To turn back sinners... to a better place
    On the cross He laid
    With life's last breath
He cried out three hours after midday
He cried out the Father's name
Saying, Eli, Eli, labachthani? That is to say, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
    My Father! My Father! Why...
Why... have you... turned away.. But His Father was silent
For the Father couldn't... No He couldn't...
He couldn't stand to watch. For the son He loves... had suffered so much.
Thirty nine strips all for love... Nailed pierced hands, Nailed pierced feet. A thorn of crown severing His brow.
This was the price that was paid. For this is the cost..For no greater love...
Yet in His heart: it pleased the Father, that He was bruised for us sinners
He laid His head and gave up His ghost
    It is finished...
Two thousand years ago the verdict made
    Our destiny He gave
    In the Holy of Holies
The precious blood of Jesus my advocate
And He laid all on the cross
All for me... All for you...Who would even think of you... Jesus did, when He paid the price. Now in the temple...The high priest prayed. The sky had turned to a darker grey.
The earth shook... as if the Father had something to say... Then a rent in the veil.
The presence of God no longer contained
But dwells in the heart of those... Who wish to call His name

Starring up to Heaven. A Roman soldier stood, While on Calvary the earth beneath him...Still so violently shook
With a repented heart... He couldn't move

My Savior laid between two sinners
Accused of crimes He never made
Yet His life so willingly gave
Now the dead in the Lord... Rose up from their graves...This phenomenon no one dares explains... The power of God manifesting so plain
    Hallelujah! Victory in Jesus name.
So I'll preach, teach and heal. Just as my savior did... Let my life exemplify His.
Now this is my plea. I plea to you, my brother, my sister...
Don't go on... No....Not without Jesus
    You need Him too.
Why not invite Him...into your heart today..
    Simply say:
    Dear Heavenly Father,
I'm sorry for living a sinful way..I know I have sinned and fallen astray. I've lived my life outside your will..please forgive me, I pray. Jesus be my king. Let your spirits now dwell in me.
Wash me with your blood and make me clean. From today I surrender all my life and my will to you.
I declare that you are now my Lord and my saviour....
    Amen.

  • Our society is made up of obsessive contradictions: the young want to be rewarded with big jobs without obtaining experience, the middle-aged brag about working out at the gym but can’t wait to retire in order to rest, and the old want to drink from the fountain of youth. The truth is that instant success robs young people of the journey; but it is along the journey that we obtain knowledge, collect memories, and have a sense of achievement that makes life a rewarding experience. And older people are often deceived by miracle drugs and creams promising renewed beauty and vigor.

Juan Ponce de León, the Spanish explorer who traveled at one time with Christopher Columbus, went in search of a magic water source that people called the Fountain of Youth. Rumor had it that drinking its waters would keep one young. Ponce de León was determined to find this legendary fountain.

The world’s idea of a fountain of youth is a mirage. Only the Bible provides an oasis for the soul: “The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life” (Proverbs 14:27). To grasp the meaning of this verse, we must first understand what “fear of the LORD” means. It is contrary to being afraid of Him. God would not have sent His Son to earth to communicate with us if He wanted humanity to be fearful of approaching Him.

This wonderful phrase throughout Scripture is a reminder to be in reverential awe of God, to love Him with our whole being and commit ourselves joyfully to Him in all things: “Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength” (Deuteronomy 6:5 NKJV). The apostle John said it this way: “Keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts” (1 John 5:21 NLT).
Here we see a wonderful picture of a fountain that flows with life-giving blessings: “For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see” (Psalm 36:9 NLT); “The words of the godly are a life-giving fountain” (Proverbs 10:11 NLT); “The instruction of the wise is like a life-giving fountain” (Proverbs 13:14 NLT); and “Discretion is a life-giving fountain” (Proverbs 16:22 NLT). Then the Lord Jesus sums it all up in the closing book of the Bible: “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things” (Revelation 21:6–7 NKJV).

The fountain of life is real, friends. We can draw strength from its resources and stand strong in our resolve to be overcomers, looking forward to the inheritance and being in the presence of the Savior of our souls.

  • To know a man of God ‘after the flesh’ is to know him by the outward appearance and earthly circumstances of his life: his temperament, race, background, culture or profession among others.

2 Corinthians 5:16 KJV says: “Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh:..,’ Here, Apostle Paul instructs us to seek out for the anointed according to the unction and grace by which he operates in to be able to receive greatly.

May you be filled with the Holy Spirit and the ability to fully recognise the anointed and his anointing in Jesus’ name!

  • The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:8 NKJV

One thing we must know about life is that anyone can change. People change for the better or the worse depending on their circumstances.

For mindset to change we need a foundational process to take place. In Christianity the change happens under the supervision and direction of the Holy Spirit. This process is powered by the word of God.

The Holy Spirit does not make you a better you. The Holy Spirit makes you a new you. Totally different from the one they knew, that is why when you encounter God people cannot relate with what you have become.

This is the process we call being born again. Nicodemus had a tough time understanding this topic because it went against all that he was taught and the vast knowledge he had acquired.

Nicodemus knew that Jesus was a teacher sent from God but the theology he was taught could not be reconciled with Jesus being The Messiah. There was no room for accommodating Jesus in the Theology of the Pharisees.

For Nicodemus choosing Jesus Christ meant that he had to give up all the theology he had accepted to be true for something that he could not relate with. It was a risk he was not willing to publicly take.
What Nicodemus failed to do after his one on one encounter with Jesus Christ, Paul was willing to do in a flash. Paul gave up all his theology in just one encounter with Jesus Christ.

Both Paul and Nicodemus where Pharisees. However whilst Nicodemus cared for what the public would say about him, Paul didn't.

Many people today are prisoners of group beliefs, they sacrifice divine revelation in order to maintain membership or friendship with a particular group, friends or family.

The life of a Born again believer is like that of the wind. It's difficult to understand. So those who are impatient judge the believer by his past whilst those who are religious judge the believer by their own theology.

There is no freedom without change. There is no real change without the Holy Spirit. Freedom comes at a cost. You have to give up your status quo in order to get to your new desired destination. Blessings
