I was born and raised in
Northern Ireland during the years of The Troubles, a period marked by conflict, violence, and uncertainty. Growing up amid bombings, shootings, and civil unrest, I witnessed firsthand the realities of a divided nation. Yet even in those difficult circumstances, God was quietly laying the foundation for a future life of faith through my early years in Sunday School, where I developed a love for the Scriptures.

As a young adult, after experiencing the challenges and dangers of life during the conflict, I gave my life to Jesus Christ, became a born-again Christian, and was baptized. From that moment, a deep passion for God’s Word and a desire to know Christ more intimately became central to my life.

As my faith matured, I became actively involved in ministry and discovered that God could use my musical gifts to reach others. Alongside fellow Christian musicians, I helped establish a Gospel rock band that traveled throughout Ireland and beyond, ministering in churches, festivals, concerts, and outreach events. Through music, fellowship, and testimony, we shared the hope and transforming power of Jesus Christ with people from all walks of life.

Today, I remain passionate about serving the Lord, encouraging others through my testimony, and sharing the message of God’s grace, protection, and redemption. Looking back on my journey, I can clearly see God’s hand upon my life. From growing up amid bombs and bullets in Ireland to experiencing the life-changing power of Jesus Christ, my story is a testimony to God’s faithfulness and His ability to bring hope, healing, and purpose through every season of life.

  • Proverbs 10:9 (NIV)
Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.
    (Passage: Proverbs 10:1–10)
As we read the words Solomon wrote, we should remember that although the pen was in his hand, God was the true Author. Keeping that truth in mind helps us properly weigh the comparisons found throughout Proverbs.
The word “integrity” comes from the Hebrew tom, meaning completeness and uprightness. “Securely” comes from the Hebrew betach, which means safety and confidence. I was always taught that it is best to tell the truth at all times—because the truth simply is the truth. If you lie, you must constantly remember every detail of the falsehood. When we walk in integrity, there is nothing to hide and nothing of which to be ashamed.
By contrast, “whoever takes crooked paths” reflects the Hebrew aqash, which means to make crooked, to distort, or to twist—in short, anything other than the truth. Such a person may escape notice for a time (how long is unknown), yet we can rest assured that they “will be found out.”
God’s Word is Truth! When we follow it without distorting or twisting it to suit our own desires, but instead hold fast to His will, we walk in integrity. The moment we turn aside from the Truth, God knows and will not be deceived. Therefore, both in the physical realm and the spiritual realm, we do well to walk in integrity.
