URGENT PRAYER NEEDED FOR OUR CHURCHES IN NEPAL! MANY MISSING, MANY DEAD

Greetings in the precious name of Lord Jesus Christ.
Dear Friends,
I hope you are all doing well.
Have you heard about what has happened in Nepal? We have received heartbreaking reports from Rasuwa and Nuwakot, where several churches and communities have been severely affected. Many believers are missing, some churches have been damaged, and families are grieving the loss of loved ones.

Please especially remember these churches and pastors in your prayers:
Syafrubesi Church, Rasuwa - 3 believers are missing.
Resurrection Church, Rasuwa - Please pray for Pastor Dipak Bartal and the congregation.

Resurrection Church, Nuwakot - The church has been damaged, and the pastor is missing.
Mailung Church, Rasuwa-The church has been damaged, and around 50 believers are reportedly missing. Please pray for Pastor Dil Bahadur Tamang.

Shanti Bazaar, Nuwakot - Around 30 believers are reportedly among those who have lost their lives.

Timure Church, Rasuwa - Many believers have reportedly lost their lives; the pastor is reported to be alive.
Tukche Anugraha Church, Nuwakot - 4 believers are missing. Please pray for Pastor Dipak Yonjan.
Dakhbari Church, Rasuwa - 17 people are missing. Please pray for

Pastor Kumar Gurung.
Grace Church, Nuwakot - 3 believers are missing.
Saint Petra Church, Nuwakot - 4 believers are missing.

Navjyoti Baptist Church, Nuwakot - The church has been partially damaged. Please pray for Pastor Tirtha Giri and the congregation.

Pray for Nepal.
Please join us in praying for Nepal.
Let us pray that God will have mercy, protect those who are still alive, guide rescuers to those who are missing, comfort families who have lost loved ones, strengthen the pastors and churches, and provide every urgent need.

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." - Psalm 34:18
Please share this prayer request with your churches, pastors, prayer groups, and friends so that many more people can stand together in prayer for Nepal.

Please keep Nepal and our brothers and sisters there in your prayers.

God's Purpose - Psalm 18:28

There certainly will be times in our lives when we will be surrounded by darkness. Our first reaction is often to get out of it as quickly as possible, but let us consider the purpose God has for troublesome times.

In difficulties, we can do one of two things: we can draw near to God (2), or we can run away from the trial set before us. We can expect to have great loneliness while in darkness. Psalm 88:18 says, "Lover and friend thou hast put far from me..." God does this so we will seek Him out and allow Him to become our source of life, rather than people. We must search for the light, knowing that He is Light (3). Light always arises out of darkness (4). Each night has a morning. These times of darkness will be great, and may be painful, but if you do not depart from the Word and continue to feed upon it, then Christ will become your provision.

Psalm 112:7-8 tells how the writer´s heart was fixed on trusting the Lord. Do not despair while in darkness. Use it as an opportunity to draw near to Him Who does not change (6). You may discover riches stored in those dark places (7).

Psalm 18:28 For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Isaiah 42:16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
Psalm 112:7-8 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Isaiah 45:3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
