Question : " I have a question and I would really appreciate an answer.
How do you keep the fire burning in your spirit? cause this past few months has been a struggle,the zeal to pray and study Gods word isn't as strong but yet the conviction in my heart is so strong that there's no where else I belong except in God's presence and in his kingdom but I don't feel the zeal and fire that was once there . this breaks my heart, what do I do ?"
Answer : " Our feelings and emotions can be like shifting winds - so much affects them , IF WE ALLOW THEM TO DICTATE THE REALITY of our position and Relationship, to and with our God ! Also of course, Satan will attack you on all fronts ! He is the Enemy of God and of you and me.
Who are you going to listen to ? It's your choice moment by moment. Our bodies NEED nourishment and in certain cases , certain medications. Many mothers will say to their children at the start of a school day" You MUST eat your breakfast; lunchtime is a long way off " Likewise, our Heavenly Father wants to speak to each one of us through the Word he has give us: The Holy Bible. I remember as a teenager ( before I became a real child of God in experiential Relationship with Him, I had to study the four Gospels ( Books of Matthew , Mark, Luke and John. ) for an important High School examination , overseen by the University of Oxford in England . It was vital to meet the challenge of a serious examination. I was surprised as I did so, because the words seemed to 'lift off the pages' for the very first time., and GOD SPOKE TO MY HEART OF THE REALITY OF THE WORDS and I not only passed the Examination with distinction, I shortly afterwards began a real Relationship with God, through the Good News of the Life and Love of Jesus Christ for me which is being daily proven to me right now, because JESUS IS NOT DEAD- HE IS ALIVE !
Likewise , I WORSHIP HIM from my heart - I declare my Love towards Him ( the Scripture says " We love him, because He first loved us " - 1 John, chapter 4 and verse 9 ). He speaks to us and encourages our hearts as we speak ( commune ) with Him and Worship Him. He seeks Worshippers in his Almighty Love relationship. This powerful concept comes from Jesus' conversation with the Samaritan woman at the well, as recorded in John 4:23-24. It means that true worship is not about a specific location or rigid religious rituals, but is a genuine, authentic connection with God, empowered by the Holy Spirit and rooted in His truth. The above is a very short and simple answer . God wants his children to be whole and healthy in their spirits. He IS OUR ULTIMATE PARENT!

Wisdom That Prevents Destruction

Scripture

1 Samuel 25:32–33 (NKJV)
Then David said to Abigail Blessed is the Lord God of Israel who sent you this day to meet me

And blessed is your advice and blessed are you because you have kept me this day from coming to bloodshed and from avenging myself with my own hand


The Power of Wise Intervention

1 Samuel chapter 25 introduces three key individuals David, Nabal, and Abigail. Nabal was a wealthy man but harsh and foolish in his behavior. Abigail, his wife, was wise and discerning.

While David and his men were in the wilderness, they protected Nabal’s shepherds and flocks. When the time came for shearing, David sent men to request provision from Nabal in return for their protection. However, Nabal responded with insult and rejection, showing no gratitude or respect.

David became angry and prepared to take revenge. He gathered his men and set out to destroy Nabal and his household. In this moment, David was on the verge of acting in the flesh, allowing anger to lead him into sin.

Abigail heard what had happened and acted quickly. She gathered food and supplies and went out to meet David. When she arrived, she approached with humility, wisdom, and discernment. She acknowledged the wrong, appealed to David’s future calling, and urged him not to take vengeance into his own hands.

Her words stopped David from making a destructive decision.

David recognized that God had used Abigail to intervene. Instead of carrying out revenge, he chose restraint. Shortly after, the Lord Himself dealt with Nabal, and David was kept from unnecessary bloodshed.

This chapter teaches the importance of wisdom, humility, and self-control. It shows how quickly anger can lead us toward wrong actions, even when we have been treated unfairly. It also highlights how God can use others to redirect us when we are heading in the wrong direction.

For believers today, 1 Samuel 25 reminds us to pause before reacting in anger. God calls us to trust Him for justice rather than taking matters into our own hands. It also challenges us to be like Abigail, bringing peace, wisdom, and godly counsel into difficult situations.

Prayer

Lord God thank You for Your wisdom and guidance. Help me to control my anger and to respond with patience and discernment. Teach me not to take revenge but to trust You for justice. Use me as a vessel of peace and wisdom in the lives of others. In Jesus name Amen.
