Dear Father,

We all have desires and make requests to become better versions of ourselves. But sometimes, it looks as though we are not nearly as prepared for the responsibility as we are for the blessings that accompany it. The Scripture says, “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required.” And so often, we believe in how much we must do in alignment with what has been entrusted to us. But very rarely do we discuss how much we must refrain from doing by virtue of the office we have been assigned.

I believe the word in the passage, “require,” doesn’t just imply what we must give, but also what we must become. Because we rarely speak about the other side of the coin: that the blessing is expected to flow from the inside out; that we begin with being blessed by the blessing, to becoming shaped by the blessing. Perhaps only then can we wholesomely become a blessing to others.

Like In situations where great wisdom is entrusted to us, it is required that we exercise discretion and establish the necessary controls around it. And this is where it gets difficult, because control may sometimes mean holding our peace when speaking could exonerate a person, but at the same time, put a stain on his office. Or when stewardship requires not just our undeniable talents, but also our character.

What we must give, but also what we must become. This is, perhaps, the perfect blend.

BE HONEST WITH GOD

Be honest with God, go into your room, close the door and speak to God: Lord,
I acknowledge that I have not yet been born again, but I want to be born again; help me, save my soul, I want to leave sin behind. However, this prayer you make must be accompanied by actions, for example: If you truly no longer want to drink, then you must destroy the liquor cellar; if you wear indecent clothing, you must burn or throw away those clothes...

Grace doesn't say you should continue sinning; grace is for the sinner to abandon sin. Just as Jesus told the adulterous woman, "Go and sin no more."

Gracious Lord,

Bless families throughout Asia tonight.

Strengthen marriages, guide children, and restore broken relationships.

May homes become places where Christ is worshiped and honored.

Bless the Lordsbook Prayer Wall and continue using it to disciple believers throughout the world.

For every person facing difficult circumstances, let Your light shine. For those who are sick, bring healing and strength. For those who are grieving, comfort their hearts. For those who are afraid, give them peace. For those struggling with poverty and hardship, open doors of provision and opportunity.

Lord, remember families experiencing conflict, war, displacement, hunger, and uncertainty. Stretch forth Your mighty hand and bring peace to troubled nations. Protect innocent lives, restore broken homes, and give wisdom to leaders everywhere.
For those who feel forgotten, remind them that You have not forgotten them. For those who have prayed for years without seeing an answer, give them renewed faith to keep trusting You.

May every closed door that is not Your will remain closed, and may every door ordained for Your children open at the appointed time. Turn tears into testimonies, sorrow into joy, weakness into strength, and battles into victories.

Let homes receive peace.
Let communities receive hope.
Let nations receive peace.
Let the brokenhearted receive healing.
Let the hopeless receive a reason to believe again.

And when we cannot see the way forward, help us remember:
Amen! Jesus never fails.

May the grace, mercy, protection, provision, healing, and peace of God rest upon people everywhere. May tomorrow be better than today, and may every testimony bring glory to Your name.

Peter's big catch of fish is a famous miracle in the Bible. Professional fisherman Peter fished all night and caught nothing. Jesus told him to try again in deep water. Peter obeyed, caught so many fish that his nets broke and boats almost sank and chose to follow Jesus. Peter and his friends worked all night on the Sea of Galilee and caught zero fish. Jesus told Peter to put his boat in deep water and drop the nets. Peter trusted Jesus. They caught so many fish that both boats nearly sank. Peter felt unworthy, but Jesus told him he would now catch people. Peter left everything to follow Him.

Heavenly Father,

In this midnight hour we gather in spirit with believers around the world to exalt the name of Jesus Christ.

We lift up the nation of Ghana and the continent of Africa before You.

Lord, may Your name be glorified throughout this land. Let worship rise from churches, homes, schools, villages, and cities.

Awaken a spirit of praise among Your people. Let gratitude replace complaining, faith replace fear, and worship replace worry.

Strengthen believers who are weary. Encourage those who are discouraged. Fill hearts with fresh joy through the Holy Spirit.

Raise up worship leaders, pastors, evangelists, and disciples who will point people to Christ.

Let revival begin through hearts that genuinely worship You.
