Devotional Message

Today's Scripture reminds us of the wonderful truth of God's mercy. We are alive today not because of our own righteousness or goodness, but because of the Lord's unfailing mercy. His compassion has preserved us, even when we have fallen short.

Each of us has made mistakes, sinned, and at times disobeyed God's Word. According to justice, we deserve punishment. Yet God, in His great mercy, does not treat us as our sins deserve. Instead, He patiently gives us the opportunity to repent and return to Him.

God's mercy is not merely a feeling—it is an active expression of His love. It was fully revealed through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who paid the price for our sins so that we could receive forgiveness and be reconciled to God. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we become recipients of God's mercy and receive the gift of eternal life.

As you reflect on your life today, you will likely find countless examples of God's mercy. Perhaps there was a time when you were overwhelmed by a difficult situation, and God made a way where there seemed to be no way. Or perhaps you failed and felt unworthy, yet God lifted you up, forgave you, and gave you a fresh start.

God's mercy reminds us that we are never alone. He understands our weaknesses, knows our struggles, and loves us despite our imperfections. His mercy gives us hope, courage, and strength to keep moving forward.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You that Your mercies are new every morning. I acknowledge that I stand today not because of my own worthiness, but because of Your unfailing love and mercy. Please forgive my sins, cleanse my heart, and help me walk in obedience to You. Teach me to extend the same mercy and grace to others that You have so freely shown to me. Help me to rest in Your compassion and trust in Your promises each day.
