- Worry makes a promise it can never keep.
It tells us that if we think about tomorrow long enough, we'll somehow be ready for it.
But worry has never changed the future.
It only robs us of the strength God gives for today.
Corrie ten Boom knew this firsthand. She lived through imprisonment, loss, and unimaginable suffering during World War II. Yet she discovered that peace wasn't found in controlling tomorrow—it was found in trusting the God who already holds it.
That's why she could say:
"Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow. It empties today of its strength."
The future belongs to God.
Today is the day He has given you grace to live.

- Busy isn't always productive.
Busy isn't always faithful.
Busy isn't always God's will.
We often assume that as long as we're doing good things, we're safe.
But Corrie ten Boom saw a subtle danger:
"If the devil cannot make us bad, he will make us busy."
Busy enough to neglect prayer.
Busy enough to skip God's Word.
Busy enough to crowd out quiet time with Christ.
Busy enough to mistake activity for intimacy.
Satan doesn't always attack with obvious sin.
Sometimes he simply fills our lives with so much noise that we no longer hear the Shepherd's voice.
The greatest threat to your walk with God may not be rebellion.
It may be distraction.
Slow down.
Sit at His feet.
The work can wait.
Your soul can't.

- While watching a Robin build its nest on my front porch, she has been working on this same nest for weeks now. I see, her persistence, regardless of everything falling apart time an time again the wind blowing it down. She doesn't give up. She continues to come day-by-day to rebuild what has been broken down. By watching her I can see that is how we're supposed to be as a Christian, this should be the way we live actively building the Kingdom of God. Our lives each and every day because of the cares and trials that we go through, keep us at times from continuing to press forward in perseverance to become as Christ who has already given us everything we need and for His purpose and His intent for my life. For I am to have within me a God given desire to give Him Glory and Honor through my life lived in and through Him.
2 Peter 1:3 states that God’s divine power ( we as believers are empowered by God's own supernatural strength, not their own willpower)
.
has given us as believers everything required for life and godliness. In other words we are fully equipped with all the spiritual resources necessary for daily living and spiritual growth.
This empowerment comes through knowing Jesus Christ. (by developing a personal, deepening relationship with and understanding that Jesus lives within me through the power of The Holy Spirit.)
I watch, and I think it could also be my own way of trying to build and watching things fall apart around me constantly. This could be a sure sign of the fact that I'm doing it in my own strength so it continues to fall apart and I continue to persevere in failure without attempting to even consider that it's falling apart.
Living this way causes me to doubt to grow weary and hopeless that things will ever be as God intended them to be..... until I come to the realization it's not God's will or plan for me. So which road will I take? Which thought will I think the one that brings me to hopelessness? Or the thought that brings life to me the thoughts that encourage not my thoughts but His thoughts. His word is alive quick and powerful and sharper than any 2 edged sword piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul an spirit and the thoughts and intents of the heart. This is the most powerful description of the Holy Scriptures, emphasizing that God's truth has the supernatural ability to penetrate human defenses, expose our deepest motivations, and bring about spiritual transformation.
"quick" means alive or living. God's Word is not a dead, static text, but an active, energetic force in the lives of believers. It cuts through deception, excuses, and worldly distractions from every angle. The Word goes deeper than human logic can, reaching the core of human nature to distinguish between our natural, fleshly desires (soul) and our spiritual rebirth (spirit)
It acts as a mirror that reveals our hidden motives, helping us understand why we do what we do in the eyes of God.
Knowing His word and having the faith He has given me to believe it is true I am encouraged.
Just like the robin building her nest am I building the kingdom of God?..... And though I fall, I shall not be utterly cast down, knowing this that He who began a good work in me, is faithful to complete it. until the day of His return, and that is my purpose to be here to be that testimony and the witness of Jesus Christ upon this earth for the future coming of the Son of God, who is Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. That I am a part of building the kingdom of God upon this earth as I await His return.... just as God the creator of heaven and earth and everything in has given the Robin redbreast the natural instinct to build a nest and to not give up ...as I recieve in faith Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior I am given a desire to become more like Jesus and to be pleasing to Him through obeying and surrendering to His will and plan for me and a love for His Word. He will do and has done exceedingly and abundantly above and beyond what I could have ever hoped or imagined. I think of the words of a song that truely ministers to my heart and has become a prayer of mine .
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
