3 open doors
* Holding onto bitterness- thinking about people that hurt you.
The Deceiver thrives on division, discord and disunity.
Matthew 6:14 - If you forgive others when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
* What you let through your eyes- what we view, what we scroll, what we listen to.
The Deciever notes when we want to relax knowing our guard will be down and uses distractions to set in causing confusion and indifference.
Psalms 101:3 - I will not look with approval on anything that is vile, I hate what faithless people do, I will have no part in it.
* When you stop praying - This is like a house with no walls. The Deceiver isn't afraid of those that look the part, He's afraid of those that remain connected.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 - Pray without ceasing.

Forgive, remain connected even when relaxing and pray always.
Matthew 26:41 - Watch and Pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Let us close those doors.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7.

Life gets busy. This verse is a reminder to us that though the distractions and challenges, our eyes and hearts need to be continuously fixed on Jesus.

True nature is hardly tested in comfort. Character is revealed through challenges.

Let us be mindful of our character during these challenges and distractions. Let us be found always showing love to one another being patient with each other practicing self-control in all situations.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Notice how we are encouraged to surrender our plans to the father and then reassured that it will be taken care of.

This passage reminds me of Moses having sent 12 spys into the land which God had promised to them. On their return 10 reported how fortified the city was, how many enemy clans were surrounding it, spreading fear of how difficult the task ahead would be.

How is it that having witnessed first hand the 7 afflictions and parting of the red sea they allowed doubt to settle in.

What is God asking of us to do? Are we looking at the doubt and the mountain that's ahead? or are we surrendering completely to our God who is the same God of Moses the same God of David.

Let us be bold and courageous
may our faith speak louder than our doubt in every circumstance.

Matthew 7: 15-16
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits.
We learn that it's not the church they attend, nor how long they've been attending church, Not who their pastor is, who they fellowship with, not even if they use the name Jesus.
It's by the fruit they bear for the kingdom of God, that's what makes the difference.

Friends always test spirits use your discernment. Stand alert always, lest you fall into temptation.

Don't fuss about what's on the table at mealtimes or if the clothes you have are in fashion. There is much more to your inner life than food in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you wear. Look at the ravens, free and unfettered, carefree in the care of God.

You! Yes you! You are worth much more!!!

Has anyone by fussing before the mirror gotten taller? If fussing can't do that, why fuss at all?
Relax, don't be so preoccupied with getting, so you may be able to respond to Gods giving.

Let us STEEP ourselves in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions.

What fruits are being displayed in our lives? If Jesus came to visit and asked our neighbour's, friends, parents, wife/husbands, colleagues and even strangers about our character, will we all be happy with the response?

Fruits of the Spirit - Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-control

Fruits of the Flesh - Hatred, enmity, hostility, misery, jealousy, bitterness, strive, dissentions, discord, outbursts of anger, wrath, impatience, cruelty, malice, harshness, wickedness, corruption, selfishness, unfaithfullness, betrayal, untrustworthiness, arrogance, brutality and pride.

In a ever changing world its becoming more and more difficult to distinguish ourselves from the rest of the world. Let us strive in all things to feed our spirit more than our flesh.

Survival vs Revival

Air (Oxygen): You can survive for about 3 minutes without it.
Water (Hydration): You can survive for about 3 days without it.
Food (Energy): You can survive for about 3 weeks without it.

JOB 12:10 - In His hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.
John 4:14 - but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.
John 6:35 -Then Jesus declared,“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry.

This can't be coincidence.
Jesus tells us "I am the way, the truth and the life". Let us fix our eyes upon him that will give us eternal life.

LIVING OUT THE LIFE OF GOD
Moses gives us two poems in Deuteronomy, a song (chapter 32) and a blessing (chapter 33). Both guides us in the depths of salvation and speaks to not merely thinking or talking about God but in living out God IN OUR LIVES- in our everyday work lives, in our everyday family lives, and in our everyday interaction with our friends. It's important that in all aspects of our lives, in everything we do, that it all points to God, that God is displayed through us. whether it be in difficulty, disappointment,and heartbreak. Moses is an example of this. The way his life ended teaches us how the conditions of life and death are unavoidable. No one is exempt regardless of how essential or how esteemed that person may be.

let us strive to remain humble and always show God in our goings and comings as well as our doings.

Romans 5 teaches because of Gods love, we are completely faultless and can live in perfect peace. Even through hard days we can smile, because our troubles are just building up our patience, strong character, and hope .
Jesus didn't wait for us to become blameless before He died for us—He gave His life for us while we were still broken and making mistakes, teaching us that God’s love is bigger than our biggest failures.
If God loved us so deeply when we were at our absolute worst, how much more will He hold us, guide us, and flood our lives with grace today now that we belong to Him?
Let this word fill us with courage : we do not have to earn God's love today, because an overflow of His grace is already running after us turning every struggle into a victory!

Morning Family, how easy have we missed the mark in our walk with Christ. Smoking, drinking, clubbing, prostitution etc aren't the things that are leading us to eternal damnation.
Now hear my heart, good cannot come from these things but instead of these it is hatred, envy, jealousy, ill feelings towards each other. These are the things which will get us to hell.
Ephesians 4:26
Do not let the sun go down whistle you are still angry.
Matthew 22:39
Love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Matthew 18:21-22
Peter asks Jesus how many times we should forgive someone who does wrong to us. Jesus replied " I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven."
Matthew 5:44
"Love your enemies and pray for those who persecut you."
John 13:35
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

Truely I say to you that we have all fallen short of this and my prayer is that we do not let the sunset today without making amends, so that the Deciever will not gain a foothold.

How often when life is busy are we asking God for his hand to move- we want the miracle, the breakthrough, the job, the recovery, the house, the healing, the wife/husband and children.

Family are we coming to God only to see he's hand and miraculous works or are we pursuing the Face of God with a longing for a deeper understanding and relationship with our King.

Our father wants us to have all things good, but let us not be so distracted by chasing the miracle that we forget to pursue he's face and that intimacy with him.

Let us pray today that we cry like Moses did to see God's glory.
