Depression is no longer a rare struggle... it has become a quiet epidemic among young people. Behind the smiles, achievements, and social media presence, many are battling deep internal storms: pressure to succeed, fear of failure, identity confusion, comparison, family expectations, past trauma, rejection, loneliness, and the constant noise of a fast paced world. For some, it is the weight of unhealed words spoken years ago; for others, it is disappointment, loss, or the silent question, “What is the point of it all?”
Scripture does not ignore this reality. The Bible is filled with men and women who experienced deep emotional distress...David cried out from overwhelming sorrow, Elijah asked God to take his life, Job sat in grief and confusion. Yet, in the midst of these dark moments, one truth remains constant: God does not abandon the broken. He draws near to them. He speaks peace into troubled hearts, restores hope to weary souls, and offers a kind of rest that circumstances cannot give.
